08/10/2025: If the opinion an Americans is worth anything, this is the best you will find between here and Dublin. I’ve eaten seafood in Boston, New Orleans, San Diego, and Seattle, so I feel like I have some experience to go by. If want first rate food, service and atmosphere at a reasonable price, Quinlans has it all. We had the haddock fish and chips and the Seafood Stew and Smoked Salmon Open Sandwich. FRESH, FRESH, FRESH. If we ever make it back to Cork, we will be returning!

17/09/2025: This is an absolute gem of a hotel. We were doing a road trip through Ireland and had to stop for a night due to change of plans. Killeen house was just few minutes out of Killarney and could adjust us while most hotels were sold out due to bank holiday. Picturesque and quiet location with great rustic charm. Rooms were very clean, tastefully updated and decent sized. Absolutely the BEST staff and service that can compete squarely with any world class hotel. Breakfast was cooked on order and truly delightful. There is nothing we could wish better for. If only we could stay longer….highly recommended if you are in the area.

07/09/2025: This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Just outside of Killarney, getting both downtown and into the surrounding nature is an absolute breeze if you've rented a car. The room we stayed in was adorable with a super comfortable bed. Their new addition (rooms 401+) has AC, which is a nice bonus, and a great view of the mountains. Breakfast requires a reservation, and is actually incredibly good. Best hotel breakfast we had the entire trip, and their berry tea was fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough.

03/09/2025: Must visit for locals! I have lived near Newbridge for 3 years and always wanted to visit but never did until last month. The shop has something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for some jewellery, cutlery, Christmas ornaments or even preloved items! Price range is great, you can get 1 fork for a few euros or you can get a full cutlery set for 60e or something more bespoke too. The silverware factory tour is great, small and you learn a lot about how many they times they adapted and didn’t give up. I would recommend taking ear plugs with you if you’re sensitive to noise. Visitor centre also hosts Museum of Style Icons. It’s free to visit and they have the “revenge dress”. Finally there’s delicious afternoon tea to enjoy in the lovely cafe. Warmly recommend!

30/09/2025: Great place to eat if you visit dinner museum, we booked a table for two and the atmosphere was really nice, staff is very kind, the food was served 5 minutes after ordered, the food was OK but don't expect too much, in general taste was good but a bit overprice which makes sense for the place where is located, cocktails were really good. In general I will definitely recommend this place.

16/09/2025: Great location, right in the middle of town. Excellent staff; friendly & helpful. Our room was lovely, overlooking the main street which was very quiet overnight. We enjoyed Sunday lunch & breakfast the following morning; both of which were really good.

07/10/2025: I recently took my Wife to Jim Edwards for lunch on 20th September 2025. From start to finish the experience was fantastic and the quality of both food and service was simply superb. We were staying locally and our hostess informed me that this establishment has been in business for a considerable period, that it is Jim's son who is now in charge and that this pub/restaurant has been operating at a very high level as long as she could remember. Very grateful for a lovely experience and incredible food. Looking forward to visiting again.

02/10/2025: Dropped in for a meal 3 people right from the start it took an age for a waiter to come with the menu order taken twice we had to check where the order was when it eventually arrived it was cold that was the end of the meal we got a small amount of the meal we left disappointed we loved Kinsale

07/10/2025: Was at a wedding there yesterday 6th Oct and wow such a fabulous restaurant food was outstanding staff are absolutely brilliant going above and beyond ❤️ but I have to say a big shout out to Isabella, GIVE THIS GIRL A PAYRISE she was absolutely amazing she went above and beyond for my 4 year old boy he loved her, she was amazing with him, thank you so much isabella much appreciated 😊 💖

22/09/2025: We had our wedding here this weekend and to say it was the best day of our lives is an understatement. The venue, the staff, the ambience, the service and everything about Rathsallagh immensely added to that feeling and experience. Whether it was the glam room set up to kick the day off in style, the guest check in experience, the photos in the walled garden, the extremely high quality food or the coordinators, staff and everyone from Rathsallagh, I don’t think I have ever experienced a better hospitality offering in my life. Huge thank you to the team, and a massive recommendation if you’re looking at wedding venues!
