The best restaurants

21/09/2026: I came here yesterday with my girlfriend for the Sunday roast and asked for the pork belly... 20 minutes later, the waitress came back to me saying that they were out of it. She forgot as well about our drinks order... so 15 minutes to get a pint of Guinness and a glass of red wine. I guess the waitress was in training... so I would blame a problem of management and communication in the restaurant. The food was good though, we both finish our plate!

05/08/2026: What an exceptionally cozy and atmospheric little restaurant we discovered during our 14-day stay in Ramelton. I had already marked it with a star on my Google Maps, and it turns out that this little gem more than deserves its stars! The reservation didn't go very smoothly as we had very poor Wi-Fi, but we eventually managed to secure a table for four that same day by calling them. The welcome was warm, and the atmosphere pleasant and cozy. Everything on the menu looked delicious, partly due to the professional explanations from the jovial waiter who pampered us all evening. An excellent wine list also contributed to a very successful culinary evening! In short, a total experience! It is a shame to hear that this restaurant is closing its doors in September, so for anyone still wanting to secure a spot: don't hesitate!

26/07/2026: Incredible dining experience, food and service was 5 star from start to finish, I think the vegetarian main was one of the best vegetarian meals I have ever enjoyed, brilliant choice of wines and cocktails 😁

26/08/2026: Lovely pub, busy for a mid week night but not uncomfortable so, good service and a great mix of clientele

10/08/2026: No food, just drinks, but that's why people come here. Unfortunately, the advertised live music was cancelled without any notice. Okay, then I'll just have another Guinness and off I go.

03/07/2026: We just finished our trip, and we all agreed that, of all the places we visited—Paris, Amsterdam, and Ireland—Castle Leslie was the highlight. Every detail of the estate felt intentional and personal. The attention to detail was extraordinary, and the interior design throughout the property was incredible. We stayed in the Mews, while my parents stayed in the Lodge. The thoughtful breakfast basket each morning, filled with fresh Irish bread, homemade jams, fruit, and other treats, was such a wonderful touch. Our cottage was fully equipped with a washer and dryer and every appliance we needed, making it feel like a true home away from home. Dinner at Snaffles and afternoon tea were both absolutely perfect. The staff were incredible—warm, attentive, and clearly worked tirelessly to make every guest feel welcome. This was our first visit, and next time we'll be sure to book the falconry, archery, and horseback riding well in advance. One tip for future visitors: check the wedding schedule before you book to make sure the castle will be open during your stay. We especially loved walking home to the Mews after dinner each evening and taking our daily walks around the lake. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Castle Leslie for making our stay so memorable. Your warmth, hospitality, and attention to every detail made this a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return in the future.

01/07/2026: An absolute joy staying here. The staff is all so incredibly kind, the Lodge, Castle and grounds are all stunning. And the bar had some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.

20/06/2026: A lovely Irish pub, where you can play pool or enjoy a beer outside. The atmosphere is cheerful and relaxing.

15/07/2026: Gluten pizza which was v.nice for a random pub. Service was ok, you order from an app but it was lovely sitting in the pub garden in the sun.

15/07/2026: Wonderful stay at ODonnabhain’s. The hosts, Jer and Vanessa, along with the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable during our 3 night stay. Perfectly located in Kenmare, day trips to the Ring of Kerry and the Beara were possible.

04/06/2026: Our two night stay was perfect. Professional and welcoming staff, spacious room and very serious food in served up in the restaurant.

03/06/2026: This was the last place we stayed on our trip and they were accommodating. It was a ice place and we even had air conditioning. I wish we could have enjoyed it and the surrounding area a bit more than we had the chance to

30/07/2026: Wow!! What a delicious and beautiful breakfast! We got the pancakes & the french toast with fresh fruit and bacon was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

18/08/2026: Great little spot by the river. Simple menu of great coffee and a few baked options. Service is fast, and the staff are friendly. Seats outside and undercover.

24/09/2026: It was a bit crowded on Wednesday because the jazz band was playing, so I had to stand to watch them for a while. I was actually about to leave, but I’m really glad I didn’t because the band was amazing. The place itself is super cozy and has a great atmosphere. I also ended up meeting a couple there, and we had such a fun time together. I’d definitely recommend checking it out, especially on a night when the jazz band is playing.

13/08/2026: Very well light. Bright and Airy with plenty of room and a pretty respectable customer base. I did not give a rating for food as I had none I would most definitely recommend JJ Coppingers

15/09/2026: The food was delicious. We ate at about 4pm so just walked in and got a table. But it is quite small so you might want to book if eating at a popular time
