The best restaurants

03/10/2025: Meant to take a photo of the beautiful salad, sandwich, coffee and sweet treat I bought, but it was too good and I ate it too quick. Amazing spot!

02/10/2025: the salads are tasty, but they are eye-wateringly expensive - €9 for a tiny bowl. Go to tang just around the corner for better value.

01/03/2026: Arrived at 6pm, took staff 10mins to show us our booked table. More delays with taking order, with food eventually coming at 7:20, leaving us in a rush to eat food (one course only) and pay before local engagement at 8pm. Waiter didn't seem to want to be there, very poor.

25/02/2026: I had Lunch twice here. Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. The waiters were very polite, smiling and professional. Highly recommended.

03/12/2025: The best place in town. Good coffee and very tasty food, service always very good also sometimes they’re too busy but still manage to serve you right. We often come with husband we love it here also had large group of people once on Saturday morning for food and they accommodated us no problem where other places couldn’t - food was delicious as always.

18/11/2025: I’ve been here a few times now. This is easily one of the best places in Gorey for bread, cakes or sweet things that are not overly sweet. They bake everything themselves, and the quality shows. It’s far better option to the generic items you find in some other cafés in the area. I also think it’s good to support a locally owned business that puts real effort into what they make and is trying to be different and offer a choice in the area. The coffee and pricing are good as well.

20/09/2025: Wonderful bakery right next door to our Airbnb, went there often. Excellent meat pies and pastries.Fresh bread and they'll make you fresh sandwiches. Enjoyed everything that we tried here over our two weeks. Favorites were steak pie and cottage pie. Fair prices.

15/02/2026: We had our valentines dinner and drinks here and the food was incredible!! We couldn’t fault anything and our waitress (Josephine) was so attentive and kind! Loved the atmosphere, will 100% be back😊

02/03/2026: We loved our breakfast here! They have so many options on their menu we didn’t know what to choose! They have seating inside for about 15-20 people. We were the first customers of the day and our food came within 10 minutes. Delicious food, big portions, and great prices!

18/02/2026: The coffee was good. The waiters were very friendly and funny. However, when you eat inside, you're too close to other people.

22/12/2025: The food here ranges from good to outstanding, depending on the night, with the black dal probably the highlight. Unfortunately they've had some serious misses lately, especially the lamb jalfrezi that was unpalatably sweet, as if someone had added a ton of sugar or jaggery. The aloo tikki also tasted as if it had been cooked and left sitting for a while. There's no reason to adulterate food for the Irish palate. Stick with what's been successful at Pickle and previously here.

15/12/2025: The food is good.. loved chicken 65. Butter chicken biryani was good, but I wouldn’t want my biryani to be sweet, but because it was butter chicken, I can understand. The food was on the sweeter side. Prices are quite high.

12/03/2026: Great rooms, superb bar. Fantastic service and meal. Niamh looked after me so well, I thought was at home. And after working till 10pm there she was at Breakfast serving up the best meal of the day. Some Hotels just have the best staff ever! Great stay thanks.

18/03/2026: The 2 stars is for the staff, who were friendly and polite despite being extremely busy on St.Patrick's Day. The food was extremely disappointing. We got fish & chips. I asked the server if the dish came with mushy peas (a staple side to fish & chips!!) And she said they used to, but no longer do.. The portion of chips was generous, but the batter on the fish was pale and soggy - really not good. For the price of this dish, it was shocking that there wasnt even a bit of salad, or peas or something served with it. We regretted our choice and wished we had gone down to Beshoffs instead where we'd have gotten better quality food and paid half the price.
