04/09/2025: Had a lovely lunch here recently. Home made sourdough baguette was really nice. We were given a complimentary little cheese board. All cheeses were delicious. Highly recommend a visit👌

12/07/2025: We recently had the good fortune to enjoy an hour relaxing at Ruff Café. Hands down, they make the best toasties we've ordered out and about in I don't know how long. The friendly staff make great coffees also. Everything served indicates that lovely little bit of extra attention to detail. It's a wonderful relaxing spot and you get to contribute something to the DSPCA.

28/08/2025: What a wonderful place Legan Castle farmhouse is . Caroline was so accommodating. The peace & quiet was so amazing for us city folk . The best best ever ! The hot tub amazing ! Location perfect, just mins from thomastown . Our dog is still in a trance ( farmhouse life) thanks again Caroline

20/07/2025: We are just back from a return visit to Legan Castle and the five star hospitality that Caroline offers. This time we booked the entire farmhouse and stayed with my family and baby. Caroline is a world class host. From the luxurious bedroom and bathrooms, high end kitchen appliances and equipment, tasteful decor and “country cottage” feel to the stunning gardens and incredible hot tub - it’s really everything you could ask for in a comfortable relaxing trip with family. Caroline is so accomodating and welcoming and always a quick message away from answering any questions. The flower arrangements from her own garden and fridge stocked with essentials were a fantastic touch. Do not hesitate to book, you won’t regret it!

02/09/2025: The Falafel wrap is great and such a bargain for the price. I've been eating Cork Falafel's wrap for the past 6 months as it's tasty, filling and doesn't leave me feeling sluggish. Perfect quick bite to eat and plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans too.

28/11/2025: Best coffee both drinking and beans, they sell items you'll find hard to get elsewhere like Kerry hands made stem ginger and syrup, herbal tea, all manner of health foods, a big plus is they know what there talking about and it's so friendly the only downside is at certain times it's very busy.

20/04/2026: We booked the old Deanery for a special birthday weekend celebration and honestly couldn't have enjoyed it more. The accommodation was excellent, every facility you could wish for, very comfortable and all our guests felt instantly relaxed. Bryanna was so friendly, helpful and flexible in helping organise and recommend various activities (including a super musician Eugene Watters) and all the catering needed 0 and firing up the sauna! The Deanery is perfect for a group of 20-25 people - with plenty to do nearby in the historic (former capital of Leinster) and the historic adjacent village of Ferns (featuring the graves of Father Murphy and the dastardly villain King Diarmait Mac Murchada!). We'll be back!

30/03/2026: Just back from celebrating my sisters hen weekend in The Old Deanery in Ferns. This was my second time staying here and it was as outstanding as ever. Each cottage is so clean, quaint, warm and full of character as is the barn. The Prosecco bar is wonderful. It is the perfect self-catering venue and everything we needed was there for us. The gardens are fabulous are ideal for groups or family trips. Nothing was a hassle for Bryanna who looked after us so well and had the sauna ready to go for us on request. I would highly recommend The Old Deanery, we will definitely be back!
