The best restaurants

16/08/2026: When me and my friend got our food there was a hair in the sauce which is okay because she asked for a new one and the lady was very nice but my chicken tenders tasted very sour and like the oil was burnt and it was cooked in it I could only eat the chips it was very unpleasant I just hope u can pay more attention towards stuff like that

01/09/2026: Good place for perfectly cooked al dente pasta, cheap and easy to eat, recommended for a break in Dublin, just opposite Temple Bar, you have to cross the canal.

27/08/2026: Really nice place the owner is very sweet and makes everything himself from the pasta to the deserts. The atmosphere is nice and cozy me and my sister stayed here eating and chatting for a while and felt very comfortable. We tried two pastas and really loved the pesto rosso

16/08/2026: Great place with lovely food and fantastic staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. A special mention for the Full Irish Breakfast with white pudding — best white pudding I have had. Absolutely lovely and a must-try! Would definitely recommend

09/08/2026: They had just barely reopened for dinner, so took a few minutes. Worth the wait, food was very good. Was not asked a spice level, and was very thankful they went with mild. I should have remembered to ask.

05/09/2026: Had lunch here on saturday the burrito bowl was amazing was then having a look in the shop with my 2,3 and 5 year olds who are a hazard with all the beautiful stock when the shop assistant offered to take them for ice cream so i could have a look around. was a very much appreciated gesture to a overwhelmed Mam and 3 happy kids thank you

03/09/2026: From the moment I walked in, welcoming, staff polite, watching the staff interact with their regular custom stood out. A hidden gem, food was beautiful, coffee perfect not the manufactured water others throw out now. Highly recommended

25/08/2026: My mother attended at your restaurant last weekend with her carer, my mother been 90 was looking for comfortable seating to sit on when they requested same the waitress became extremely rude about it and walked off and left them standing at the door. Any basic restaurant provides some form of general customer service friendly service, the elderly in our community they deserve some respect and one would hope establishments like this would do just that, it was not the case here. My mother and her carer had to leave as your restaurant gave them no other option, they went to Munchies around the corner who had a five star customer service given the experience here which was shameful. Rest assured it won't happen twice as we would not entertain such substandard services from a restaurant that clearly can't provide good customer service or care for the elderly either. Shameful.

24/09/2026: Had dinner here this evening. Overall, the food was alright, but nothing particularly special, and some of the mains were disappointing in terms of the amount of actual meat provided. The main thing I think customers should be aware of, however, is the 10% “optional” service charge. This was automatically added to our bill, and we found the process of declining it quite awkward. I personally don’t agree with automatically adding an optional service charge, particularly for a small table. In my experience, service charges are more commonly automatically applied to larger groups, and on this occasion I certainly didn’t feel the food or service warranted an additional 10%. For comparison, we ate in Guy’s Restaurant in Clifden a few nights ago and found the food considerably better, with no added optional service charge. Unfortunately, the service charge left a negative impression on what was otherwise an average enough meal. I think customers should be made very clearly aware of it before ordering and should feel completely comfortable declining it if they choose to do so

13/09/2026: I was somewhat appalled at my recent visit here. The waitress after coming from outside the restaurant, having a cigarette, proceeded to serve drink and food and never even washed her hands. Surely this should not be allowed. I'd just not bother going here again!

16/06/2026: The beach hotel is a great spot to stay at in Downings. I stayed here with a few friends and we were very impressed. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and held to a very high standard. All the staff throughout the hotel were brilliant. Amy at reception, all the bar staff right through to the night porter all had us well looked after. You couldn't go wrong with this hotel, thanks all!

02/06/2026: Had a family dinner here and food was delicious and staff where very attentive. Best turkey and ham we have had in a long time. Would of been 5 star only we didn't get to sample the cheesecake as they have ran out! Will be back.

06/08/2026: I walked in without a reservation and this was one of the best Irish meals I’ve had in Cork. I went dir a late lunch and the menu didn’t include Bangers and Mash except for on the kids‘ menu. The waitress asked the chef to make it an adult portion for me. It was great but paled in comparison to her extra effort to create a wonderful experience. I also ordered the Tres Leches for desert and it also exceeded expectations. I should also mention that I attempted to walk in the night before and was told they were all full and could not serve me. This did not deter me because he was so professional and nice about. So glad I went back.

05/08/2026: My first fish & chips in Ireland and I wasn’t disappointed. As it’s my first time trying this dish I can’t compare it but it was still tasty!

28/08/2026: Never go there ever again I have been getting food and drinks here 15 years never had a problem and because a lounge girl messed up we were made a show of in the pub and at the the lost of are money because the new lounge girl messed up with are money so we had to pay again which is wrong she never gave us a receipt so they said we never paid which we did im drinking there longer then the management and they just made me out to be a scumbag and by the way I had my 40th here 4 weeks ago aswell and they treat me like that a joke and the bar staff and lounge staff had a go at me for no reason it was an absolute joke

23/08/2026: Called in on Saturday night at 8pm with 3 kids (16,13 &11) for a bite to eat. Quite busy inside and loud but we got a table immediately, were served quickly, food was delicious and not badly priced either. Would defo go back again.
