The best restaurants

28/08/2025: On our trip to Ireland, although we wandered in by chance, the owner greeted us warmly and treated us with great kindness, just as I saw him serving his regular customers. We were served a hearty, tasty meal at a very good price without having to wait too long.

13/07/2025: Food good. Service adequate. I ordered fried chicken with veg and potatoes. Looked great but plate garnished/decorated ordered with balsamic vinegar , terrible combination pulse pureed cranberry . My garlic bread had soaked up the vinegar. I am literally allergic to vinegar it turns my stomach. I said to the waitress that those ingredients should have been stated on the menu. I would have asked for the meal without the garnish . My sister had ordered a different meal , not my favourite but we agreed to swop meals as the waitress appeared taken back that I raised an objection to the dressings. She did offer somewhat reluctantly to take it back . I did not want to cause a problem as the food looked good and my sister confirmed it was good 👍.

21/08/2025: Really lovely experience here, food was very good and the price is very reasonable, Defo worth the visit. The peppered chicken was really good, friends also had the pizza which was also very good. The staff were very courteous!

17/09/2025: Banging sandwich. Like truly class, was full all day. 10% off if your a student, but sandwich is €11.50 (club sandwich) base price, so you do the maths. Huge tho, and well worth the cash. Triple decker, and they did not skimp on the chicken and the bacon. Great for if you’re hanging in the morning, or preparing to be hanging the next day. Also just tasted top class as well. Served very quickly, staff were friendly and no wait to be seated. Was pretty busy but place is big wi plenty seating. All the rest of the space in the box was filled wi crisps too, so well worth! Cheers :)

18/09/2025: Great experience. Matty was great and welcoming. He recommended a great local restaurant to eat dinner. Nice kitchen, beautiful new tiled bathroom with shower. The only minor issue was the bed footboard stuck out (we keep running into the corners).

24/08/2025: I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was of very poor quality and not worth the money at all. The staff were extremely rude — one even spoke disrespectfully to my 5-year-old child, which is unacceptable. When I asked to speak to the manager, the staff member dismissed me by saying, “I am the manager here.” I honestly don’t know if I was treated this way because of my colour or for some other reason, but the experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I would not recommend this place to anyone. First thanks for your reply Ihave a video showing the manager shouting at me and refusing to give me my food for takeaway, which I was very surprised by. I didn’t say anything to him to cause this — but even if a customer did raise their voice, staff and management should still remain professional. I did try the samosa (vegetarian) and the mixed chicken kebab, which was my son’s first order. If you check your CCTV, you can also see how the manager spoke rudely to my 5-year-old when she asked about her drink. When I asked why he was speaking like that, he denied it and said, “that’s just the way I talk and i didnt say any thing ” After that, I felt uncomfortable and asked for my food to be packed for takeaway. Instead, I was told to either eat it there or leave it, and my request was refused. Under consumer rights in Ireland, I believe that is not acceptable. @CCPC At that point, I was the only customer in the restaurant. When he continued being rude, I took out my phone and started recording. He asked if I was filming, and I said yes. His response was, “I’m still not giving you your food for takeaway.” Don't recommend it

03/09/2025: It was a great family outing and a way to spend an hour exploring. Crag Cave is marvellous and very reasonably priced. The self directed tour is a nice idea - the kids ( and us , their parents ) really enjoyed it ! We'd recommend it.
