The best restaurants

08/08/2026: Great vibe. You can sit down on a cozy couch and get some work done on your laptop or sit outside and watch the world go by all the while sipping on amazing coffee and they have delicious lunch options too. Ooohh and the brownies are to die for!! The fantastic background music always draws me in.

24/07/2026: We visited on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was fairly busy but not full. The starters are quite large, luckily we ordered a pizza between two of us and we still ended up taking some home. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend a visit here but you would probably need to book in advance. The staff were very pleasant and service was good.

06/09/2026: We went there around 10:30 when the place was half empty and they took more than one hour to bring us the food. Once they brought the food, one was incorrect and we had to wait more time. Food was good.

28/08/2026: Visited The Buttery twice in last 2 weeks and each time the service from Dylan has been professional. Food was delicious each time made with very fresh and tasty ingredients.Food was priced very reasonable and coffee was perfect 👌

13/09/2026: I had a really lovely experience here while visiting Waterford. Janie was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she even gave me some great tips on places to see around the city, which I really appreciated. I had the avocado toast and it was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly! I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Waterford, especially to try some of the other things on the menu.

21/04/2026: Amazing stay at the lodge. Location is perfect to explore the island. Francois and all the staff were extremely friendly. Irish breakfast and coffee were amazing and great pizza in the evenings. Highly recommend it.

25/08/2026: One of the best lunches we have ever had anywhere in the world! Every single dish we ordered was spectacular. The seafood chowder and chicken tikka are phenomenal!! The service was very friendly but on the slower side so I don’t recommend this place if you’re in a rush. But otherwise it is a must go!

14/08/2026: My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at The Blue Haven’s weekly Indian Pop-Up Thursday. Each week, the chef creates a tasting menu showcasing a different region of India, and last night’s menu took us to West Bengal and Kolkata. Highlights included the Kolkata chicken drumstick biryani, rich chicken kosha, fish kalia and chingri macher bora, followed by a lovely moong daler payesh for dessert. Everything was full of flavour, wonderfully varied and very filling—easily some of the tastiest Indian food we’ve had in Ireland. The service was excellent too: attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, with the team kindly talking us through every dish. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for a memorable Indian meal in Kinsale. It has already become a Thursday-night fixture in our house!

Make sure to mention how many members of group are vegan, so that they can plan accordingly. We were very impressed with the service, and with the quality of the vegan options. We will definitely be returning soon!
