30/01/2026: We recently ordered food for collection from this place, and despite the name Spice of India, the food was the complete opposite of what you’d expect. While the prices are reasonable, the food had no real Indian flavour at all—just the colour of turmeric and an overwhelming sweetness. It honestly felt more like “Sweet of India.” There was no depth, no spice, no soul to the food. It seems heavily toned down and customised for people who think they’re tasting authentic Indian food, but aren’t. We cook far better Indian food at home using proper spices and flavours. Overall, a huge letdown and a waste of both time and money. There are many better places in town if you’re looking for genuine Indian cuisine.

29/08/2025: We had an excellent dinner at Naughton’s Bar in Kilkee. Our group of five showed up with one more than our reservation allowed, but Elaine handled it with ease and got us seated quickly without fuss. The service throughout the evening was prompt, friendly, and clearly well organized — the whole team is on point. Before dinner we had the pleasure of chatting with Paddy Collins behind the bar. His knowledge of Kilkee’s history, his great personality, and his warm hospitality set the tone for the night. He’s a gem. The food itself was absolutely delicious — starters and mains alike were top-notch, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Combine that with the very fair pricing and you get excellent value for money. Naughton’s is truly a testament to what makes Kilkee special: great food, genuine people, and welcoming service. Big thanks to Elaine, Paddy, and the whole team for a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back!

28/08/2025: Arrived and it took 10 minutes for someone to take our food order (no biggy) the food was excellent I would recommend the burger. Nicest food in Kilkee. However when we were trying to leave (we understood we had our table for 2 hours) we struggled to find someone to get the bill from (for 5 mins) A waitress came over and asked us nicely to leave as she had another table coming in. We mentioned that we never got the bill and she apologised and left. 5 minutes later my grandfather goes up to the bar to pay the bill as still no sign of anyone dropping it to our table. After the bill is paid my grandfather returns to the table and briefly gathers his things (in his late 80s) before the manager comes over and asks us to leave again? Just left us with a sour taste in our mouths. I will of course be returning to naughtons as I have since I was a child with hopefully better communication between staff management and customers.

23/07/2025: I have been going to this restaurant/wine bar since it opened. It has gotten better and better. The menu is always exceptional and ever changing. Its perfect for foodies, but the menu isn't pretentious and has so many gastro delights, it really is for everyone. The Staff are so nice and the music is perfect. However, I do agree with the other reviews that the pricing is a little higher, particularly on the entrees.

14/07/2025: The food is excellent. This restaurant is worthy of a gourmet restaurant. The waitresses were very patient despite our hesitations. While in Dublin, I hope to return to this establishment one day. Delicious desserts!!!

17/08/2025: I was in insomnia in Navan and at first when I walked in the staff ran to the counter as they were sitting with their friends drinking their own coffees which I assume they didn’t pay for. This left me with a bad first impression as the staff were laid back and unprofessional. After I ordered they returned to customer seats and continued to eat and drink the shops goods. In the time I was there drinking my coffee I estimate they had at least two coffees which they made themselves. This was very unprofessional and I didn’t like the experience I would advise the manager take a look at cctv and see what his employees really get up to during working hours. Furthermore the friends who joined them weren’t drawing pictures at their table like some sort of children and using the electricity to charge their phones. This isn’t very appealing for customers as assume their friends done them a favour by the ont then their coffee for free meanwhile I paid €5.90 for mine. Utterly disgraced and disgusted and not happy with the experience. Staff were nice but only because I imagine their trying to pretend they care about their job please look into the employees in Navan insomnia.
