04/08/2025: Always a treat to eat at Inside Out. Super tasty food, very efficient service, and great value

03/08/2025: Very disappointed with response from the restaurant when we told them we got food poisoning from a meal there in March this year. We ate there several times with relatively big groups, and always enjoyed it. In fact, it became our go-to restaurant when we had visitors coming stay with us. In March, we booked a table for 6 for dinner. My partner and I ordered a large pizza and a burger meal with the intentions to split between us. The other 4 in the party ordering different meals from us. We split both meals and ended up finishing the burger between us and taking most of the pizza home. Later at home, we both became violently ill with vomiting and diarrhoea and suffered that way all night and still suffering 24 hours after the meal. The others in the party were unaffected and had different food options. We wanted to alert the restaurant to this issue so they could do whatever they needed to do to check supplies / process. We suspect the issue was caused by the burger as my partner ate very little of the pizza and we both had half of the burger each. The response from the manager restaurant (a week later after I followed up) was that several others had the burger that night and they had no complaints, but they’d check into it and get back to us. That was the last we heard. No apology, no follow up, no respect for the fact that we really reached out to warn them vs anything else. We spent a lot of money at that restaurant since they opened but won’t be spending a penny there again. In fact, neither of us could face ordering a burger in any restaurant again given how really sick we got from the burger @ Inside Out. Posting this only because of the total disregard of our complaint and lack of apology for what we went thru, and denial of any potential issue at their restaurant. Things can go wrong in any business, the key is how your deal with those issues, address them and look after your customers. Something the owners and manager of this restaurant need to acknowledge and learn. Thanks… *** Update *** Have since heard from the owner and he informed me that while he did go back and review things & did not find any causal link at the restaurant, he was very apologetic for our experience. Thanks.

23/07/2025: Stephen was a wonderful bartender and host. We had a great experience. Pints and toasties were amazing and hit the spot! We will definitely be back.

23/07/2025: Great bar! We had great beer, really good toastie and a nice, calm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend if you are in Dublin! Stephen has true Irish charm!

06/08/2025: Well, what can I say about Bunsen? It’s truly the paradise of burgers. You might be surprised by the small menu at first, but once you try it, you’ll realize there’s no need for more. Sometimes less really is better, and here, they’ve perfected that philosophy

07/02/2025: Pedí el "Pastel de los Pastores" y estaba extremadamente decepcionado. Demasiado ajo en polvo y dudoso "puré de patatas". Muy seco a pesar de añadir una jarra de "jus". Me fui 1/2. Si un restaurante tiene una cocina abierta, entonces los chefs al menos deben actuar profesionalmente. Fui testigo de tantas infracciones HACCP que fue aterrador. Picando comida y comiendo sin lavarse las manos. Rascarse el cabello sin lavarse las manos.

14/08/2025: We had a fantastic meal at this pub, enjoying some truly delicious traditional Irish food—definitely one of the most authentic spots we’ve visited! The dishes were hearty, flavorful, and perfectly captured the essence of Irish cuisine. While we had to wait a bit for a table, it wasn’t a problem at all, as we could relax downstairs in the pub with a pint. The service there was excellent, and the barman was incredibly friendly, making the wait enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for an authentic Irish experience with great food and top-notch service!

26/07/2025: Auténtico Restaurante Italiano y típico de muchos restaurantes en Cork IT es escaso en el espacio. Tuve el calamar como entrada (un especial). El único aspecto decepcionante de la comida. IT estaba muy cocido - duro y gomoso. Aunque me encanta la salsa cacciatora e IT cubre todo tipo de pecados. Sin embargo, este restaurante tiene clasificación Michelin y si IT alguna vez aspira a ser una gran proteína de cocción excesiva es un NO. Mi principal era mucho mejor. Filete de cerdo y cocido a la perfección. De postre tomé el Tiramisu y IT fue el mejor que he probado. En general muy bueno con un servicio atento. Decepcionante sobre el calamar. Si cocinas demasiado tíralo IT y empieza de nuevo.

28/07/2025: It’s hard to understand why this place is popular unless there are very few Japanese restaurants in Dublin. If the food isn’t great, at least the service should be—but it’s not. Especially during dinner time, the woman with glasses who handles seating and serving is extremely rude. She told us we couldn’t dine without a reservation, then seated three of us at a small outdoor table meant for two, and brought out a shabby chair from the storage for the third person. This place is clearly not prepared to properly welcome customers.

19/08/2025: We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of Irish meadows. The coffee was very, very good from a portafilter machine. They even had oat milk for the cappuccino or café latte. Really good! We also had warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream – absolutely delicious! The service was very friendly and attentive. We had a great time, thank you :)

08/08/2025: Very good food in this restaurant, with a varied menu and generous portions. Evening prices are much more expensive; take into account €45 to €53 excluding wine. Impeccable service and friendly staff.

11/08/2025: Pub and restaurant upstairs with a beautiful sea view. A little out of the way from the center of Kinsale, it's worth walking there for a view from above Kinsale harbor. Excellent fish and chips, fresh and quality cuisine. Very friendly welcome and service.

10/08/2025: Maritime bar and restaurant. Excellent food, gulped with a cold Rockshow(?) glass of cider.

03/08/2025: We visit Mary Ann’s in Castletownshend regularly, and it continues to be one of our favourite spots in West Cork. The food is consistently excellent, thanks to a talented and hardworking kitchen team who clearly take pride in what they do. Whether you’re looking for fresh seafood, hearty local dishes, or something tailored to vegan or vegetarian diets, Mary Ann’s delivers every time. What makes this place even more special is the atmosphere, much of which is created by the man at the front of house. With decades of experience and a unique, no-nonsense sense of humour, he brings a refreshing authenticity that’s hard to find these days. He makes everyone feel welcome, and nothing seems to faze him—not even the most specific dietary requests. The Staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about making sure everyone is looked after. It’s not just good service; it’s heartfelt hospitality. To all the people who complain about his attitude or the food: maybe what you actually want is the supermarket. There, you can pick out exactly what you like, go to self-checkout, and not have to interact with a single human being. Hospitality is about connection, not just consumption—and if that bothers you, perhaps dining out isn’t for you. Much of it feels rooted in begrudging attitudes rather than genuine issues. If you appreciate real food, real people, and a genuine Irish welcome, Mary Ann’s is a place you’ll want to return to again and again. We certainly do.

01/08/2025: Off the beaten tourist path, little cafe. Workers are beyond friendly. Place is filled with locals (good sign) and wondering tourists. Solid scone and coffee for me. My son’s breakfast sandwich was solid as well. Compared to the crazy prices around the area, this was a 5 star stop for a no frills friendly breakfast. If you’re expecting something really fancy, this ain’t the place for you.

29/06/2025: I looove Brindle. Its one of my favourite coffee and wine shops in town, which I always tell everyone. I just have one small comment, which is why do they close their coffee machine off a half hour before they close, if they primarily sell coffee? I never understand why coffee shops in Ireland do this, when it takes about ten minutes to clean a coffee machine.. Gorgeous selection of wine, really friendly staff, great vibes, but its just a bit dissappointing walking out of your way for a coffee and arriving at 7.30pm on the button, but not getting served a coffee (please note she was super friendly about it, but its just dissappointing..). Anyways just food for thought

25/07/2025: Woodfield never disappoints. A lovely setting, nice staff & yummy menu with good ingredients. The adjoining gardene centre is charming.

21/07/2025: A pleasant stop before visiting the castle grounds. The sandwiches and desserts are delicious and more than reasonably priced.

11/07/2025: A peaceful and powerful place. Nano Nagle Place is a hidden gem in Cork — beautiful gardens, a thoughtful museum, and an inspiring story of a woman who changed lives through education and compassion. Quiet, moving, and truly worth a visit.

24/06/2025: I love how cultural this place is its just usually museums are free everywhere or the fee is so little :,( 8€ per person is a big amount if you are a family
