09/07/2026: If you're in County Donegal, a visit to the Railway Tavern is a must! Housed in a Victorian Railway station, the steaks are cooked on the old fire box to perfection. The crispy cabbage is a house specialty and it's totally addictive. With a warm and friendly staff, the Railway Tavern never disappoints.

08/07/2026: Folks, a trip to the Railway Tavern is a MUST when visiting county Donegal. Fahan is a short drive from Derry and it's 100% worth it. All five times I have traveled to St. Johnston, Ireland I have eaten here, all five times had a spectacular experience. One of the best decisions when I got married in Derry, December 7, 2024 was having this fantastic venue host our wedding reception. The steak, buttery mash, onion rings and their specialty, the crispy cabbage were incredible! Already looking forward to meal #6! 🥩🍻🇮🇪❤️

11/07/2026: The seabass and steak was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked, delicately seasoned, and incredibly fresh. A genuinely impressive plate of food and easily one of the best seabass and steak dishes we've had in Ireland. Best chef ever. Thank you

02/08/2026: I rarely if ever give Six stars but Pan deserves it. First time there on Monday 19th Aug. The Toasted special on Sourdough bread was soooo good, I savoured every bite. Real Ham and cheese ( not processed muck) Served with salad and Sour cream crisps, ( which I don't like, crinkled cheese and onion would have been better but that's just personal taste) but sandwich was so filling I was stuffed and tea for one in a nice sized pot and lage cup, which made Three cups. Best I've had yet in Midleton, but haven't been everywhere. Good menu, having seen the food served to other customers I would highly recommend this restaurant for a meal. A family next to me got a desert for their child and it looked soo good, and presented so well, sure twas a shame to see it eaten, it was massive, Lol. Friendly staff - very comfortable setting. Can't fault this place at all, will definitely return. If you haven't been there yet, it's worth it, in fact, I've only ever heard good reviews of it; now i know why.

23/07/2026: To start off when we got here we got seated quickly. Had time to browse the menu then ordered. My daughter got a mango pineapple smoothie. She recommends. All together as a table we got the special sandwich, chicken goujons(strips), garlics bread, soup of the day and a pasta. All were very delicious. The servers were very kind and friendly. 10/10

04/07/2026: Probably one of the nicest coffees I've had in a long while and under €4! Cakes are nice too!! But the coffee rocks.... I'll be back

09/06/2026: I've been a regular here for a while now, and there's a lot to love — the food is genuinely premium quality, the taste is consistently excellent, and while the prices reflect that, you get what you pay for. That said, I do have one gripe that keeps this from being a five-star experience: the tip culture. I've personally noticed a visible difference in how staff interact with customers depending on whether a tip is given or not — and that's a little uncomfortable. For a takeaway order where there's no table service involved, the expectation to tip feels misplaced. The quality of service shouldn't hinge on a discretionary gratuity, especially in a counter-service setting. Overall, a great bakery with outstanding products — but the experience would be much more welcoming if every customer was treated equally, regardless of tipping.

09/06/2026: Very calm and well decorated establishment, the food portions are perfect and seasoned very well the staff is very nice and looked after us very well

08/05/2026: We stopped with our 91yo mother and extended family. We had the most delicious lunch. I had the goat cheese sambo, the bread was excellent - sourdough roll. Portion size was just perfect. The very best chocolate biscuit cake which is made on the premises is worth driving from Dublin for. The owner John & his staff are welcoming and very friendly. Will definitely be back.

30/06/2026: We spent a long weekend in Murray's the staff could not do enough for us. The rooms are so spacious and recently refurbished. The food and music was great , I cannot wait to return next year.

10/06/2026: What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. Outstanding food (and I mean outstanding) beautifully stylish and comfortable bedroom (we had a sea view room). The helpfulness and friendliness , not to mention the competence, of all the staff was the best we have encountered in the last twelve months in three continents! Well done to all at the Doonmore hotel, to owners Andrew and Donna, what truly lovely genuine hosts you were. Wishing you all many more years of success.

11/07/2026: Sunday afternoon wasn’t that busy. I’ve only heard good things about this store and have only tried it recently. I realized I am missing out on good pizzas. It was served immediately and very filling, tasty, fresh. It wasn’t that packed that day but I can tell the service and quality was class👌 Will go back again and recommend to my colleagues.

06/06/2026: Stayed for a wedding, had a very pleasant time. The views are beautiful and the reception for the wedding was delightful. The rooms are very comfortable and the voya spa products in the bathroom and give a luxury feel. Anything we needed the staff were very hospitable. the breakfast option for gluten free wasn’t great and unfortunately there was contamination with a hair in my mushrooms.

03/08/2026: We went here for the first time yesterday with our 3 year old. We love this style of food and Shaku Maku completely lived up to expectations. Really friendly staff and food was incredible. Thank you for a great experience and will definitely be back ❤️

23/07/2026: 2 hours waiting for two courses of food. Steak was overdone and highly peppered. Discussed with staff but another steak was going to be a significant wait. Was about to be charged for an extra cocktail also until we checked the bill. Some of the food was delicious, and the waiters were very friendly. They need more staff and a more prompt kitchen service.

13/07/2026: Needed somewhere on a late Sunday morning to get some work done and hit my Monday submission deadline. Fika was just opening and I'm so glad I popped in. The staff were friendly and the coffee was just what I needed to focus for an hour. Fika is an ideal spot.
