The best restaurants

03/09/2026: Let's talk about the turkey and ham lunch. I never know turkey can taste so juicy and soft. The turkey and ham are sliced thick, so we get a good bite in every mouth! Gravy is rich. I would say the whole dish has a rustic and traditional taste. Best of all we got 3 scoops of mash potatoes! We got croquettes instead of the usual roast potatoes. Honestly, blissful after a full meal here. Definitely living up to its name as a family restaurant. We also had the tuna melt, felt like they put a whole can of tuna for the sandwich. Bit more than 16euros for the turkey and ham, definitely bang for the buck.

01/09/2026: Absolutely loved The Junction. The apple pie with warm custard and ice cream was proper comfort food — homemade, generous and absolutely delicious. Exactly the kind of dessert you hope for when you order apple pie. Great food, warm and fast service and a lovely atmosphere. One of those places that just does the simple things really, really well. Five stars across the board and well deserved!

08/06/2026: This is an excellent 5 star hotel with large guest rooms and exemplary food. The evening choices were outstanding and breakfast buffet had many alternative choices. Service was all right too.

15/05/2026: Nice location adjacent to a large and peaceful park, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and businesses. In my stay for a week, it was mostly quiet except for a commotion involving hotel staff loudly conversing right outside my door one night. The room was fine, until I happened to take a bath the last day of my stay. The bathwater was BROWN. Checking the sink, it was too. Not brown enough to notice in a glass, but my goodness, I'd been drinking that all week. Hotel staff that night said it just happens sometimes and is safe. Hotel staff the next morning said it was due to construction work, and the plumbers thought it might happen but didn't know where or when. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was also pretty good.

16/09/2026: Honestly one of my fav pasta dishes Fettuccine Alla Genovese. So good and my favourite italian pizza place i recommed the ill pomo doro pizza. Nuce staff too ! Reasonable prices too

16/09/2026: We absolutely loved our experience at Il Pomo Doro! The pastas were delicious, fresh and full of flavour, so good that we came back two nights in a row! The atmosphere is calm, romantic and beautifully dark-lit, while still feeling warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Val and her wonderful staff for their fantastic service and for making us feel so welcome both nights. A beautiful little Italian restaurant that we would happily return to. Highly recommend!

14/09/2026: Fantastic experience! We had high expectations and they really delivered. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Very interesting menu, different versions of classics. The place is really cozy, the staff is caring and welcoming. The ambiance is cared for, we enjoyed it so much! You definitely need to book in advance, but when visiting Galway and craving fish, this is a top option!!

13/09/2026: One of the locals recommended this place while we were visiting Galway, and he was absolutely right! It’s about an 18-minute walk from the train station, and it’s definitely worth the visit. We had the catch of the day and the seafood linguine, and both were amazing. We didn’t have a reservation, but the staff were kind enough to immediately find us a table. A big shoutout to this place and its wonderful staff! Definitely recommend it. ❤️

09/09/2026: Must visit in Ennis. Beautiful Pub. Food is awesome! Service was fast, friendly and efficient! Every dish was plated beautifully!!! Chicken Wings were delicious 😋

06/09/2026: With the the kids and they love their Italian food - so in we went Ordered spaghetti bolognaise for the kids - their favourite - and I got myself a pizza Halimia took our order - she was great, nice and friendly, and chatty with the kids and myself - great service Nice little place, although it was busy enough and we were lucky to get a table. Friendly vibe to the place Food was good, so much so that the kids asked if they could return! Happy kids equals happy dad! Job done and enough said!

04/09/2026: Simple place, but food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We got our pizzas very quickly. This is just what we wanted for our lunch during sight seeing in Dublin.

19/09/2026: We came from Germany and only had one day in Dublin. This pub we found by coincidence was just what we were looking for. 100% authentic with a lot of locals and not that over touristic stuff. Very friendly staff. We really had a good time here. Would recommend it to everyone looking for a good pint of beer without too much chichi and a welcoming atmosphere.

19/09/2026: We stumbled across this place completely by chance on our way back from the hotel. At first, we thought: "Well, this looks a bit odd." BUT they have great beer and a super relaxed atmosphere. Maybe this spot isn't what you'd expect to see on Instagram, but who needs that anyway?! Looking for the real Ireland at fair prices? Come and order a pint for next to nothing and soak up the authentic atmosphere. If we're ever back in Dublin and the walk to the hotel is too far, we'll be back at the bar requesting a song!

28/09/2025: Everything was fine. Unfortunately, the food was a complete disaster. I even got a stomach ache. What a pity.

25/08/2026: A very nice meal at bistro 53. We had the early bird menu on a sunday which was good value, two courses for around €30. We didn’t have a booking which wasn't an issue, although I'd make a reservation if you plan to visit for dinner

18/08/2026: We came in a big group, the restaurant did a special group menu for us. Food was delicious, atmosphere was very nice as well.

22/07/2026: Nice place, they have bar food available in the evenings and "continental" breakfast in the mornings.

03/07/2026: Local pub for the locals. It does not get more authentic than this. Very cozy atmosphere and great food! Exceptionally friendly and helpful service. Driving there can be a little tricky though - the entrance is somewhat hidden and you have to drive a very narrow and long path to reach the building.
