The best restaurants

23/05/2026: First visit was great! Servers friendly, great vegetarian burritos, cute place! Second try, we entered an almost empty restaurant and no one even looked at us much less greeted us although two employees were actively in the room. Walked out after waiting about 5 minutes.

21/05/2026: We loveddd our breakfast here and it was one of the best we had in Ireland. Delicious omelettes, pastries, and eggs Benedict. The popcorn latte was outstanding!

25/05/2026: Had Dinner at The Cornstore Last night ,Food and Service was exceptional and Thanks Max ,5 stars from us !

20/05/2026: This was our first time in Cork and when we asked a local where to get a great meal, they said Cornerstore Cork. And we were not disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere was wonderful. A very nice place to dine with friends, family, or your significant other. Bon appetit!

04/05/2026: An outstanding restaurant and local pub. Serving homemade, delicious food. Portion sizes are ample with that extra variety of fresh ingredients. Greeted with a warm welcome, accommodating with chairs at the bar (we had not booked) Had the option to sit at table once they were available but chose to remain in our bar seats. Busy service but the landlady absolutely had her finger on the pulse. Everyone’s meals came out as ordered. Main course and dessert ordered. All staff friendly and acknowledging. Thank you for your hospitality. A must visit

27/11/2025: We got takeaway there, it was delicious, and the service was very friendly. You can order online. Update: dining in is just as good! The place is pleasant, service is great, and the food is excellent. It's usually busy, make sure you book ahead. The whole menu is good, not just the sushi and ramen!

16/11/2025: Went for brunch on sunday, got the simple avo toast. Bread was so old i could not cut with knife, chef decided to add almost 20 tomatoes thinking its a good idea, but it wasnt. Food was dry and not tasty. cutleries smelled like egg.

05/06/2026: The food here is amazing, especially the butter and ketchup made by the restaurant themselves—they're delicious! I've never had butter that's so soft, sweet, and salty, and doesn't make me feel sick after eating too much. The soup of the day and the bread were creamy and flavorful, since it's a mix of various vegetables. Oh my god, out of everything, I loved the chicken parfait the most! It was a highlight, a delectable handmade parfait 💙💙. The Irish Beef was also mouthwatering, and its side potato was savory! The service and the interior design of the restaurant were also wonderful. I could feel the Irish sense of lifestyle right away when I walked in! Overall, this was one of the best experiences for me, and I'll definitely come back if I ever get a chance.

03/06/2026: Exceeded my expectations in all aspects, in terms if atmosphere, service, food quality, serving size. Reasonable price as well. Two starters, beer, dessert and coffee for 45,5€. I smelled smoked fish. Wanf to go back to try that.

03/05/2026: The Mustard Seed restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Situated in Echo Lodge, Ballingarry, Co. Limerick, a magnificent country house in beautiful grounds, it is a haven of luxury where you will be pampered from the start of your visit. Pre dinner drinks in the library are a must, then on to the dining room for a magnificent meal with excellent wines. John Edward and his team will go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful evening.

12/06/2026: Found this on my trip in sligo and I was in love with the duck soup (Ipoh Kari Duck noodle soup) I wanna come back to sligo just for this! Could be even better if the duck was maybe outside to keep the crispy all meal long.

06/06/2026: We had sweet chilli Thai chicken here. The food was great. The portions are gigantic! The staff were helpful. The music was not too loud. Bathrooms were clean. The atmosphere is generally nice but it's a small restaurant so your table is actually every close to others.

30/12/2025: Was ignored by staff when we went into their restaurant. Seated ourselves after being ignored after waiting for a few minutes for a table. Think everyone was local and got the impression we weren’t welcome by staff. Took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring a menu despite 3 staff members being there with a half empty restaurant. Once we finished food (19 euro for a burger with a soggy bun that was straight out of the packet and cold lettuce, raw onion and slice of tomato) we went to the bar to pay the bill. There was a bartender (dark curly hair with facial hair- he was the primary staff member that seemed to completely ignore us when we were just trying to give you some business) who was folding cutlery into napkins who we waited for him to acknowledge us but he didn’t so after an awkward minute of standing there we asked him could we pay the bill he said “I’ll be with you in a second”. He went to give the cutlery to a table and then walked off- his colleague came through by chance and took payment. Very strange atmosphere due to staff. Ate and left promptly.

14/11/2025: Heading south for the weekend. Well worth the slight detour off the main road before Killarney. We had a very tasty toasted sandwich and a cold plate with two types of chicken, some ham and a bit of cheese. Very nice fresh food.

08/10/2025: what a cosy little gem!! i don’t often do reviews but im a student nurse and this place kept me going. i always loved popping in for lunch/a coffee, such lovely staff as well ! :) definitely recommend !! ❤️
