27/07/2025: **Absoutely the best food founs during recent 7 day Cross Ireland Roadtrip** An off-the-beaten-path gem! Simply amazing food, friendly service, and unique environment. The brown sauce is to die for, made with locally brewed Seven Churches Whiskey. Locally sourced beef and other ingredients. Recommended from the tour guide at Tullamore DEW distillery. Truely an unforgettable experience! And plenty of parking out back, too!

09/07/2025: Best dog friendly pub around. Great atmosphere, food and service. A water bowl for the dog is the first thing they do after you're seated down. And they don't put you out the back if you have a doggy with you. Truly dog friendly! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pre booking is recommended for dinner at weekends.

07/08/2025: Once a traditional hostel, this beautifully transformed historic house now blends the comfort and elegance of a boutique hotel with the friendly, communal spirit of a hostel. The private rooms are located in the main house, and I loved the colourful and artistic decor Alice has created. It gives it a stylish and eclectic atmosphere without loosing the spirit of the historic manor home I am visiting now since over 30 years. A generous continental breakfast, complete with Irish soda bread is served in the stately dining room which becomes a restaurant by night. Excellent food is also served in the pub or adjacent patio. A bonus is the cottage style kitchen located in the former stables which is available for all guests. This is also where Pat and Alice placed the most famous table of all of Ireland. The Valley House is a wonderful, welcoming place I was happy to see is coming back to its former splendour without loosing its friendliness.

17/08/2025: Long story short. Last Tuesday the 12th of august the 2 of us ordered focaccia as starter and 2 main pizzas in sano in Temple Bar. The waiter didn’t get we wanted the focaccia as stater (I told him 3 times maybe) and they brought all the 3 pizzas together. We sent back the 2 main pizzas and guess what? Once we finished with the starter they brought back the old cold pizzas! The team leader tried to convince us they actually made fresh pizzas but a cold pizza is a cold pizza, you simply can’t hide this. Sano pizza won’t see our money anymore, there are way better alternatives all around the city center with real wood fired pizza oven (not the fake gas one in sano). One star for the service we received after years of being loyal customers is literally too much!

19/06/2025: Exceptional bar, you go to the corner and smoke, you feel like you're smoking a cigarette in your aunt's garden. The pool table is free, just don't mention it to the waitress.

15/06/2025: Small independent cafe that served more traditional Irish food, in particular the breakfasts. I would highly recommend the breakfast boxty - it was delicious! It appeared noticeably loved by locals and I always think this is a good sign!

02/08/2025: Lovely food and spotlessly clean. We were able to sit outside with our dog, which made us very happy! If you can try the Chardonnay!

30/07/2025: Excellent Italian cuisine, good menu choices in a friendly comfortable setting. This new restaurant is a fantastic addition to Lanesboro and the wider communities.

10/06/2025: 3 of us went for a quick dinner. The service was fantastic - quick and attentive. The food was amazing - filled with perfectly balanced spices, portions sizes were very decent with adequate amount of meat. Would definitely go back again and recommend to anyone who likes authentic Indian food.

10/08/2025: Great restaurant! We were there in a larger crowd and ordered a lot of food, cold and warm mezze and lots of mains. Everything was delicious and staff accommodating and very friendly. They even accommodated our young son and made a special pizza for him. Would definitely go again when visiting Limerick.

10/06/2025: We got the Coconut & Raspberry Entremet for a birthday at short notice and not knowing much about the company. The result was delicious. The cake itself looked great and the flavours of the different layers ended up being a talking point at the party. The only problem is we ate it all before we had a chance to take a photo!

03/06/2025: 5/5 best cake I've ever had! A bit expensive but the design was immaculate and the taste was just as good. Perfectly balanced between flavors and textures. The chocolate was perfectly temperate and the consistency was consistent throughout the whole cake! I got the cake for 15 people despite us being only 9 people and I think it was the right call, the portions for for 15 people would have been quite small (especially for such a delicious cake)! The service was also great! Staff is resposive and quick to answer any questions or requests!

19/07/2025: This place came recommended from a local in Dublin. This is exactly what you want for a classic Irish cafe. The full Irish breakfast and Irish coffee were spot on and delicious. I also cannot say enough about the incredibly kind and friendly owner and staff. They made the experience one to remember and were very helpful as a first time visitor to Ireland. Give this place a try for an authentic Irish breakfast and skip all the tourist traps out there!

15/07/2025: Went to to Dublin from Edinburgh for the day (just doon the road) with my daughter and The Stage Door was our first port of call when we arrived in the town by bus . Alan (the manager) had us in stitches 😂😂 from the very start when we were looking at the menu outside, his charm, wit and friendliness made us feel at ease . It was busy when we arrived but waited only minutes to get a table outside as the weather was nice. Got two full Irish breakfasts which was served within a short time of ordering. Breakfast was brilliant Alan 😋👍🍀, will most definitely have a breakfast here again on my next visit , Yeah baby!!!! 😂😂,as your server would say !! Totally made our day, well done you guys 👌

20/08/2025: My favourite place to stay in Cork. Fabulous food and excellent staff. Dinner recommendations-yellow curry or chowder. Breakfast - Eggs Benedict or Eggs Royale

18/08/2025: I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. The hotel staff is very friendly, both at reception and at breakfast and in the restaurant. The beds are super comfortable. The breakfast is very good. The pool is very nice and clean; the outdoor pool is simply magnificent. The hotel staff at reception, breakfast, and at the spa are very kind and welcoming. One small drawback is that there is no small refrigerator in the room. Please ask the restaurant and bistro staff to lower their plates and glasses.

16/08/2025: Consistently good, batter could have been a lot crisper. Mushy peas need seasoning as they tasted very bland. Chips were just about okay, curry sauce was very good . Been coming here since a teenager in the 80s a and it rarely let's you down. Portion size was excellent. Value for money is very good.

(Aparentemente hay un lugar en Cahersiveen que es más barato, pero IT es un poco de trekking para una cena de los jueves) Gracias por las bromas, me alegraron el día. David M
