The best restaurants

14/08/2025: I booked a room at Davitt’s last minute to escape a terrible Airbnb and I am so glad I did! The room was large and comfortable, the bed was cosy, and breakfast was excellent with really friendly service. When I first walked into the room, I noticed the extractor fan noise from the restaurant below. I am guessing it’s to vent smoke and cooking smells. I wasn’t sure if it would keep me awake, but closing the windows helped, and when I came back from my evening out, the fan was off. I slept really well, and while it was on again in the morning, I’m not sure when it started as it never disturbed me. The room was on the warm side but there was a fan provided, which was great, although it could do with a dust. I even tried cleaning it myself using the in-room hair dryer. The bathroom was clean and spacious with excellent shower pressure. I even took a bath, which I rarely do, and the bath and shower gel provided was lovely. Shampoo was provided but no conditioner, which was an interesting choice, but not a big issue. The location was perfect, and there were no problems getting in after the doors were locked at night. One small thing: when I came back during the day, the cleaners had been in and did an excellent job, but they had left my room unlocked. It wasn’t a huge worry as I hadn’t left anything valuable out and only other guests can access the corridor, but it is something to keep in mind. Overall, it was miles better than my Airbnb experience. Comfortable, well located, and with a delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

11/08/2025: We went there on a busy night and the staff quickly found us a table. We got three very different dishes and they all tasted amazing. Excellent service, attentive staff and a lively atmosphere

09/05/2025: Double check re allergies as the vegetarian dishes may have crustaceans in them. The girl serving changed my order promptly.

08/05/2025: Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Everything was overcooked and not warm enough when arrived. Our expectations were high, very surprised with what we got.

06/08/2025: Delicious food! Friendly, attentive, and quick service even with it being a busy night. Great spot!

It’s so good, you’ll question your life choices up to this moment — like why haven’t you been eating lamb like this your whole life? This dish alone deserves a standing ovation… or at least a slow clap.

28/07/2025: Best place for karaoke I’ve been to. Went for a birthday party yesterday and even though it was late notice the made sure to take good care of us even though there were many of us. The bartenders were friendly and attentive which I really appreciate. They both enhanced our experience. 100% would recommend and 100% will come back :)

13/08/2025: Great beer and they even had a vegan pizza with vegan cheese! Very tasty, though wouldn’t mind a vegan pizza option with more vegetables. Overall good.

16/06/2025: I was at the wedding you guys hosted on Saturday and I just wanted to say how amazing the staff were. I haven’t stopped telling everyone about how helpful and friendly they were. They could not have done more to help. They would have been well within their rights to be grumpy as it rained all day but they didn’t even bat an eyelid at the rain. In fact by their attitudes and smiles on their faces you’d think that the sun was shining! It was so clear that there must be a great culture among you all!

15/06/2025: The parking / ordering system is an absolute joke, waiting over an hour for a sandwich and coffee. Cars and traffic everywhere- not sure why it isn’t park and walk up to counter..

18/08/2025: Absolutely gorgeous place for a family never actually stayed just had some lovely dinner and few creamy pints and the staff were absolutely amazing with the family definitely be back to stay next time for sure

13/08/2025: Wow wow wow!! My first time here while visiting a friend. The food was amazing. The desserts were 👌🏻 the staff were so lovely. I think our server was called Alina/Alima (sorry if I've gotten this wrong) she was so friendly and recommended the specials for us as we couldn't decide. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Ireland

02/06/2025: We stopped here randomly while traveling from Cork to Mayo. Incredible pizza and salad. Lovely staff. I would highly recommend it if your in the area. A lovely surprise for us.

17/08/2025: Decidió una comida para llevar aquí por primera vez animado por las críticas de los asesores de viaje y no fue decepcionado. Delicioso pollo salteado y langostinos y fideos chow mein. Hubo un poco de espera como extremadamente ocupado de un domingo por la noche, pero bien valió la pena.

08/08/2025: Absolutamente hermoso lugar. Nos llevaron a pesar de que no teníamos una reserva e IT estaba ocupado. El personal era muy amable y servicial. Tuvimos una hermosa comida.

31/07/2025: By a good stretch the best pizza in Maynooth. We’ve had a range of pizzas here, eaten in and had take away, and it’s always very good quality. They also serve some pasta dishes. There are a small number of seats to eat inside or outside, with red/white wine available too.

26/06/2025: Amazing pizza. Wonderful flavourful base. Tasty topping. This is proper pizza. Best i have had in a long time. I came back for the pasta on the chef's recommendation and i was not disappointed. The 'Nduja rigatoni is a must try. I have really enjoyed mushroom pasta too. Its hard to get good pasta in ireland but this is some of the best i have had. Come and get some of the best pasta in Ireland here!

30/07/2025: Pretty poor experience overall to be honest At 12.15 the pizza/ chips section was closed, the salad bar was empty and the hatch was also closed Meanwhile there was at least 3 managers chatting and doing nothing. The roast chicken was very dry considering it was supposed to be fresh and overall the food is not value for money All for “best food hall of the year at the airport 2 years running” significant room for improvement I would say

28/07/2025: Beautiful pub, every corner is a gem.

26/07/2025: We stayed two nights and went back because we enjoyed it so much. A good Guinness and a very varied spirits and whisky menu. Live music from 9 to 11 p.m. The venue has a very thoughtful decor; it's huge and somewhat labyrinthine.
