16/08/2025: This is an essential must see, we had a fantastic tour guide who gave us wonderful history and insights about the development of Pádraig Pearse' life, early influences and vision for his school to preserve Irish culture. The house and grounds are beautiful, we had a brilliant time and it's free of charge

24/07/2025: Nothing spectacular about the food, the menu is purely touristy. The pork loin is very dry, bordering on acceptable. Very limited beer selection, almost no Irish (besides Guinness, only a pale ale). Other breweries and pubs in the area offer a wide selection.

17/08/2025: Nice Pub/Restaurant Very expensive, ordered a fish and chip for two, you could count the chips on one hand, the fish was very small and not much. and the peas were mushy under the fish, very small. Unfortunately very disappointing.

13/08/2025: Superb chicken wings. Excellent and tasty chips. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very poor fish of the day. Overly battered. Everything else very good.

13/07/2025: We drove 30 minutes to get coffee for a birthday we arrived at 2:40 and went to the coffee hatch to get takeaway coffees. we were waiting to order when a waitress came up to the hatch and said sorry we are done for the day and proceeded to close the hatch in my face I said are you sure we can't get coffees it's says your open till 3 the woman who I presume owned it butted in and attacked me she was very passive aggressive and made me feel uncomfortable she started speaking in a raised tone and gave a speach about how they ran out of ice, we're closed for the day and so on. I think that's completely unbelievable I am certain they would have an ice machine and there were people finishing up their meal so would not be closing till they finished anyway I am absolutely appalled at their service and will never be back and severely recommend avoiding this spot! Worst service ever

26/06/2025: Place was busy so we had to wait a few minutes, however the server/owner not have been more helpful. Small but quality menu. Food arrived promptly and was plentiful. Would recommend either the breakfast focaccia or the tuna melt. Well worth visiting if ever in Kinsale, will be back again!

11/08/2025: What a find.... while out for a drive, heading to Laytown, we were looking for somewhere to eat, nothing planned. When we saw this sign on the roadside and decided to take a look... certainly, it was worth our while.. a lovely oasis of culinary delights... The Tribe was celebrating their 5th birthday and we our 24th wedding anniversary, a perfect match... such lovely people, who made us very welcome. Had a great chat with Anna Sue who explained that they had just launched their new menu... there was a great choice and when served, it exceeded our expectations. Such flavours and quality of food, we were bowled over.... The moctail was fantastic for the driver and the wine a delight for the passenger... Overall can't recommend The Tribe enough, from our experience, we'll definitely be back...

10/08/2025: What a nice and creepy(if you eat in terrace with cemetary views) place. Food was great and service was brilliant. Waiting to return there. Update ;) visited again. This time we had dinner in bell tower. So good, we want to come back again ;) Tip: try cauliflower wings for starter. It's just mouth orgasm.

12/06/2025: This cute booth at the market was a delicious pay off after wandering through the Cork food marketplace. I’m sucker for a kombucha on tap. Their seasonal flavor was “beetsy boy” & complimented the food nicely. The staff was exceptional offering samples and they were very knowledgeable/passionate about the vegan food scene. The quality and quantity of the food was a bargain. We got a unique assortment of dishes: home fried potatoes with kimcheeze (kimchi cheese) salad items and barbecue sauce along with Kimchi Mac N Cheeze complete with an oyster mushroom drumstick. I also got 2 vegan raw tarts. I wish I could eat this food every day; it was a treat!

21/07/2025: A great place for a meal and for a pint. A bowl of chowder, a slice of soda bread, and a pint of Guinness goes down smooth after adventuring in the Gap during the day. Enjoy your pint outside and watch the weather roll through the Gap of Dunloe.

18/07/2025: I bought chicken fried rice from your shop yesterday and was extremely disappointed. The rice had a strong fishy smell, making it completely unappetizing. It felt like fish had been cooked in the same pan before making the fried rice, and the pan wasn’t properly cleaned. For a chicken dish, this kind of cross-contamination is unacceptable — especially for those who don’t eat fish. I couldn’t eat it at all, and it was a complete waste of money. It’s not worth buying from here, and I do not recommend this place based on my experience. Please take better care with hygiene and food preparation in the future.

07/08/2025: Sausage roll was delicious, pistachio croissant tasted so artificial and so dry we couldn’t finish it, both flat whites were burnt and made incorrectly. The guy working there was super lovely, but the lady serving us was really rude. She overcharged for the wrong item and made no effort to fix it…

07/08/2025: We used Meltdown for our office catering for breakfast and lunch. Everything was perfect. The food was really well presented and very tasty and everything was ready on time as promised. We will definitely be using Meltdown for all our future office catering events.

27/06/2025: The Barnstable was very helpful. I asked about gluten free and she let me know that the oat milk is not gluten free. Very thoughtful and helpful. Good coffee too!
