03/11/2025: We had the Chef’s Menu at Craft and it was absolutely outstanding – incredible value at €39 for the quality and amount of food. You get to taste everything, and honestly, we couldn’t pick a favourite starter because they were all so good. We had the pork chop main - so good and as always the roast potatoes were unreal! From the brown bread right through to dessert, every dish was delicious. We’re so lucky to have this place in Harold’s Cross – can’t recommend it enough! The service deserves a mention too - really lovely atmosphere. Well done to all at Craft. We will be back soon.

14/02/2026: This is my third time to stay in Lizzys, I have to say the warm welcome from staff and owner , They can’t do enough for people and go out of there way to help , the breakfast and service is second to none clean well presented,,, staff are so friendly specially lady at till with the beautiful tattoos .. thank you again

02/02/2026: You'll never experience a better bar than this. Great craic had by all before and after Dubs game. Great pints and great wit on both sides of the bar. This is what all Irish pubs should be like. Mick and the lads behind the bar love the craic. Don't be shy, be respectful and think on your feet, and you might even get one on the house. Definitely worth many more return trips. One of the highlights in Castlebar. Cash is 👑

08/11/2025: I was visiting Castlebar from the US and Mick could not have been more welcoming. I also ended up stopping in during the day to ask for directions and a different barman was also extremely hospitable. It's a very positive feel here, not to mention a top notch pint of Guinness. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

10/03/2026: Cava Bodega was highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food is exceptional, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The handsome staff member was especially kind and welcoming, checking in on us occasionally throughout our visit. We ordered a few dishes from the tapas menu, and everything we tried was delicious.

05/03/2026: Excellent food and service. Huge menu, there is just so much to choose from. The spinach and lamb dishes were particular highlights. We always visit Cave when we're in Galway.

25/01/2026: The food, tho really good and impressive, had some “add-ons” that were in the way of the dishes being perfect. Onion tart was overpowered by the amount of goat cheese and steak had a very very sweet jam. There was a lot of room condensation - water dripping down the walls and poor acoustics, which was a bit off putting.

21/03/2026: My mother and I treated ourselves to two nights here as we'd visited before and it looked fab. Although the dinner in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were pleasant, our room was another story. Multiple times through email and over the phone we requested twin beds but found of course just a double bed when we arrived. Not a huge problem and it was rectified fairly quickly. But the room itself was very basic and lacking in niceties. No tv (not a problem for me) but to my news addicted mother it was a letdown. Even with the radiator turned off and both windows open at night it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy to sleep in. No tea/coffee making facilities, the radio/sound box thing was broken. On the last morning we found that there was no toilet roll or shower gel left. Luxury hotel? far from it.

04/02/2026: Had dinner there with my wife and the food was wonderful in taste.. unfortunately the cheapest thing on the plate 🍽 would be mash potato and they didn't give much of it at all . I don't understand why so little potato is giving with a beautiful meal.. I was more than disappointed. The rest of the food was beautiful and plentiful .

18/01/2026: My family and I stayed one night at Carrygerry Country House in Shannon, County Clare, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive. Their genuine hospitality made us feel comfortable right away and added a very personal touch to our stay. The location of Carrygerry Country House is absolutely marvelous. Nestled in a peaceful countryside setting, it is surrounded by gentle mountains and beautiful greenery. The views from the property are stunning and create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Waking up to such scenic surroundings was a real pleasure and made our short stay feel very refreshing. The house itself is full of charm and character, offering the elegance of a traditional country home while still providing modern comfort. Our room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable, allowing us to enjoy a very restful night. The quiet environment made it ideal for families looking to relax away from busy city life. Another great highlight is that the property has its own restaurant and bar inside, which is very convenient. The restaurant offers a lovely dining experience in a cozy and welcoming setting, and the bar is perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening without having to go anywhere else. Overall, our stay at Carrygerry Country House was excellent. With its beautiful location, stunning views, friendly staff, and on-site restaurant and bar, it is a place we would happily return to. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Shannon area.

09/01/2026: We went there for our new year - anniversary getaway and this wee place was so lovely, and amazing. The country house gives you warm homely authentic irish vibes of old times and the hosts were really welcoming. We enjoyed our stay there with the warm and cozy fireplace and atmosphere even in the cold winter chills. The location was perfect and not too crowded. A lovely little village nearby to visit. Definitely recommend this place if you're visiting limerick, cliffs of moher or Shannon and nearby .

31/10/2025: Had dinner here recently, I would be a semi regular at this spot. Not sure if it’s been leased out since the last time I was there, as I didn’t see any of the old familiar faces working on the night I was there. What has changed is the introduction of a 10% service charge, which is extremely disappointing to see, none of my other usual spots in Clifden or its surrounding areas have this, so not sure why it’s been introduced here. I wasn’t aware of this until I was paying the bill, it might be on the menu, I’m not sure, but it definitely didn’t apply last time I visited. Probably going to give it a miss for a while, might pop back when the VAT rate gets reduced, see if the service charge still applies. If it does, I’ll be trying somewhere else up the street!

07/03/2026: Really nice vibe here the food was delicious and worth the price. Great decor, good lighting, surprising spot. Staff were very accommodating to our request and didn't seem rushed or put out by anything. Asked for their suggestions, had a good knowledge of the menu for recomendations. All round a great afternoon.
