19/07/2026: Excellent, calm atmosphere, we ate well (well-presented and delicious dishes)!

12/07/2026: Outstanding food. So why are staff so disinterested? We were served by someone who gave us the menu and immediately disappeared without a welcome or an explanation of the dishes (the dishes had local names and we didn't know what they meant). I raised this and the person responded quite abruptly and we felt so rushed that we ordered starters to give us more time to decide on mains. We were told "I'll give you 2 minutes, but it can't be longer". Two minutes later they returned and when we still weren't ready they said "1 minute". At that point I asked if we were on a time limit, which in retrospect was probably a bit sarcastic but what do they expect? The waiting person was then replaced by other people. They were a bit nicer, but the personal touch (interest in customers) expected from this quality of restaurant is missing.

12/07/2026: You charge service, but can’t even do basic math We visited as a group larger than four people. An automatic 10% service charge was added straight away — which they are entitled to apply, but then they refused completely to split the bill. In Dublin it is very easy to reach €500–€600 for a group meal, especially with bottles of wine. It is simply not acceptable that one single person has to advance an entire week’s wages just to enjoy a dinner out with friends. This is not convenient, it is not fair, and it makes no sense at all. If you charge extra for “service”, please learn basic division first. If your system or your procedures can’t handle splitting payments, fix that problem yourselves — don’t make your customers pay the price for it. I will not be returning. I strongly advise anyone booking a larger table to ask about payment rules before you sit down, otherwise you might get caught out. “Also remember: under Irish consumer rules, any mandatory surcharges like service fees must be clearly displayed upfront. Refusing reasonable bill splitting on large amounts is very poor practice.”

27/06/2026: The service was fast and the waitresses were friendly. Unfortunately they were out of one of the ingredients for the pasta I ordered but it was still very good regardless. Coffee is one of the best I've had in Cork.

16/07/2026: Myself and a couple of friends sat down to have food in this restaurant today and had a very unpleasant experience with a server named Monica, she said we couldn't sit down as we were not ordering food (we were) and that the area we were seated in was only for people ordering food (the people surrounding us were only drinking). Very rude and unprofessional service.

14/07/2026: Grand spot, the sunshine had the poor staff run off their feet with customers! They were lovely folks and we were looked after very well. Might have been a mistake to order the burger with jalapeños in 30 degree heat but it was still delicious. Try the lemonade as well it’s perfect!

30/06/2026: What a find! After mooring in the marina after a 30 hour passage we were just looking for a decent place to sit down and have some food to fill us up, but we got much more than that. We waited about 5 minutes for the Lady of the house (sorry, I didn't get your name) to prepare a table for the 7 of us...it was a squeeze but that made it all the more authentic and personable. Food, Top quality! Service, like in a small ristorante somewhere in the Italian countryside (the lady of the house said she was from Rome, but it didn't feel like a city restaurant)! The wine was delicious. And as a bonus we were allowed to join in the retirement party of Jerry, the computer science teacher, on the table next to us (including a visit by the head mistress to our table to cheer to Jerry). We had a great night, more than we could ever expect, to be sure. So thank you to the Lady of the house, to the kind and patient waitress, and good luck to you, Jerry. Thank you for all the years teaching our (their) kids.

20/06/2026: Small cosy place! A piece of Italy in Dun Laoghaire. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing.

26/07/2026: Chris, our server was so helpful and accommodating! The food was amazing and the steak was cooked perfectly! We had such a great night! We will 100% be back!

08/06/2026: The atmosphere was warm and very comfortable. The tall waiter with short hair was friendly, attentive and provided a lovely service throughout the meal, great experience overall.

03/06/2026: The terrible experience started before we even tasted the food. We arrived to collect our takeaway, but it wasn't ready. The restaurant was completely empty except for one table, so we naturally asked to sit inside while we waited. The lady manager pulled such a bad face that her own staff nervously had to ask her permission just to let us sit down. We eventually took the pizza to a nearby garden to eat just before they closed, which was a huge mistake. The prawns tasted completely off, like they had been frozen centuries ago—absolutely foul. I wanted to march right back and make her smell it, but they had already locked up. Arrogant management and easily the worst pizza I've ever had. Avoid

29/06/2026: friendly barman and amazing Guinness

28/06/2026: Visited on a Sunday around lunchtime for a quiet pint. I ordered two at the bar, watched the bartender pull them, and waited while they settled — only to then be told I couldn't be served because of my trousers. No issue at the door, no warning when I ordered. The decision to enforce a dress code policy after the pints were already pulled is poor customer service, plain and simple. If a dress code is in place, customers should be informed on entry — not after they've been kept waiting at the bar. Won't be returning.

16/07/2026: Pub is lovely, nice decor and a lot of space. It can get very noisy and even if they close the canopy they still let people smoke so - despite some air circulation - you'll come home stinking of smoke. Despite having a beer garden in the back, the place is not ideal if you also have hayfever / asthma etc.

14/07/2026: Lively pub with a lovely atmosphere and a glass roof in the courtyard.

11/07/2026: Attentive, friendly staff. Could do with a makeover. Food adequate. Sushi was good, crispy chicken was disappointing, a bit hard and stringy.

27/05/2026: I have eaten in the restaurant and ordered out and every time the food and service is brilliant. Staff are so friendly and accommodating., especially for special occasions like Birthdays.
