Called in for some dinner. The salt and chilli was probably the worst iv ever had. No flavour whatsoever. If there wasn't a dip it would have been a very boring dish.
We got two pasta's. The seafood pasta tasted like canned sauce from Tesco's with some garnish threw over the top. Fish was ok. Just super underwhelming. Didn't finish it. Just picked at it. The carbonara was not carbonara it was pasta in a white wine cream sauce. It was a little better but could make better at home.
The staff were brilliant and the food was served quickly. Just always disappointing when you go out and spend over €50 for a meal that you could have made better for a lot cheaper at home.

We had our wedding there last weekend. It was such an authentic, intimate setting for our big day. My husband's Australian family absolutely loved our venue.
Making everything look so effortless takes a lot of work. So, l would like to thank all the team at The Angler's.

16/12/2024: Had a great stay here last week, walking distance to the center, great breakfast and the manager Ed is just brilliant, highly recommend and definitely will be back next time in clonmel.

16/03/2025: Just stopped by for Sunday Lunch after walking the Greenway from Omeath. My wife both had the roast Turkey & Ham dinner, and we both agreed it was one of the lovliest dinners we have ever had. Absolutely gorgeous 10/10. Compliments to the chef and all the staff😊
