07/12/2025: Small gardens and you need to pay fee even to enter coffee shop (not gardens). And queue, of course. Everything is very slow like it is supposed to be in this kind of gardens.

09/03/2026: Stayed here over February mid term for a little R&R with my daughter and we really loved it. The hotel is beautiful, staff are very polite and helpful, food was delicious.

01/03/2026: Excellent stay, fabulous location a short distance from Kilkenny City. The food and service in both the Eden and Bar bistro f For dinner was amazing. Sean, the Operations Manager was very attentive and welcoming . Thank you for a lovely stay.

22/12/2025: We've come here every Christmas for the last 4 years with our family and the food is alway delicious and staff are really lovely and helpful. The kids love it too. Highly recommend

23/10/2025: We ate there last night. I couldn't recommend highly enough. We were a party of 3, we had the 1 Anthony Heffernan Medallion beef, 2. Butter Fried Wild Atlantic Sea Bream Served with Chervil, a Sunflower Seed Orzo, Courgette Ribbons, Green Grapes and a serving of Goatsbridge Trout Caviar Sauce 3. The tastiest lentil nutloaf ive ever tasted.💗👏 Portions sized were perfect. Lovely touch to get the fabulous homemade breads and Houmous tasters while waiting. Also great to see local craft beer on offer.

09/10/2025: I went to the poachers the other day and I must say it was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, I ordered the filet mignon and I asked for it to be medium rare which they cooked it perfectly, for desert I ordered the vanilla passionfruit cheesecake which was delicious. Highly recommended this to anyone that is thinking of going to the poachers

03/03/2026: A terrible experience. I ordered food for delivery at 9 PM. They agreed to deliver and told me to wait 30-45 minutes, but I waited an hour and a half and still hadn't received my order. The store was awful; they didn't even call to inform me of the delay and didn't apologize at all. The store closed at 10:30 PM, but I still hadn't received my order. They don't care about the wait. They completely disregard their customers. Warning: everyone should stay away from this place.

21/02/2026: Very quick to be seated i dudnt have to wait long. They took my order quick aswell . The food came out very quick. I go here a lot now myself

18/03/2026: Went here for a quick bite during our day tour from Dublin/cliffs of Moher based on a recommendation from our tour guide. This was kind of tucked away and definitely not as busy places on the main Street of Galway so that made it a little better as we were there on a time crunch. We had the wings and the loaded nachos. The service was friendly and quick and the food that we got was just your typical bar food. We devoured the nachos. Not your typical nachoss that we’d have in America but were delicious nonetheless.

24/02/2026: Food was very ordinary for the price. We found it very hard to choose no exciting dishes basically an extensive carvery. In response to Ricardo I was definitely there last Saturday at 5 pmchoose beef for lack of anything else. It's just my personal opinion I thought food was over priced and ordinary similar to a carvery.

17/03/2026: Such a treat! We were a table of 6 Italians plus 2 kids, so not the easiest but the service was extremely polite and patient. The food was excellent, fresh and the menu surprisingly varied. Made everyone happy, even the kids

14/09/2025: Service was appalling, was trying to order a drink was asked to move certain area so I did. Then proceeded to get ignored by the bar staff who asked me to move in so I asked why, again because I was “not in the que” even though there was no designated Que here sign. Didn’t get name but very distinct staff member, Round glasses and mullet working upstairs by the smoking area absolutely awful service. All could have been avoided by better communication.

24/12/2025: Good food and consistent, have had takeaway from there a few times, pizza travels but rest not so much, better to eat in there.

24/02/2026: Nice bar along the pier in Skerries. Staff were very nice to deal with and the food was delicious. Got wings to start quite spicy but very tasty and a decent sized portion and got the scampi as a mains which was also delicious but the portion size was tiny and a bit disappointing because it's over €30 for the mains. Glad I got the starter as I would of been leaving hungry otherwise

23/02/2026: Had fish and chips.. delicious. Excellent server. Great IPA on tap. Love going there, albeit not as often as I'd like to!
