Unfortunately, the matcha we ordered was only lukewarm and unsweetened, despite being ordered hot. Our brownie was tasty, but you could tell it wasn't quite fresh. For breakfast, I had a delicious bowl, but unfortunately, the peanut butter was just smothered on top. The avocado toast was also only lukewarm. Despite all this, it's a very nice café, and you certainly can't go wrong with it.
26/10/2025: I was really disappointed with my experience today.
I’m both dairy and gluten free, and I kindly asked for a small change to my breakfast to accommodate that. The staff’s response was that “the kitchen can’t do it because it’s very busy.”
However, the café wasn’t full at all, and even if it were, a good restaurant should be prepared with the right team to handle a full house. The answer felt dismissive and not at all understanding.
I decided to cancel my meal — I prefer to spend my money where customers with dietary needs are treated with respect and flexibility.

05/09/2025: Amazing place. We came here for dinner on Saturday night with my boyfriend. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We asked to change our table and were very grateful for a more comfortable seat. Food was wonderful. One of the best restaurants in Cork
31/08/2025: Lovely staff - friendly and attentive. Nice ambiance with a pretty, illuminated waterfall. Starters were tasty but mains were average. Fairly bland sea bass. Dessert menu was disappointing, not a huge selection and fairly basic. The cheese board was particularly poor value….€14 for 3 pieces of cheese and 3 crackers, a handful of cashew nuts, some bread and some tired looking grapes is too expensive. A party of four with 3 courses, a bottle of wine and coffees was €238.00.

02/10/2025: We had such a wonderful experience here! My daughter has a severe egg allergy, which can make eating out really stressful, but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel safe and cared for. From the moment we sat down, our server asked thoughtful questions and double-checked with the kitchen to ensure her meal was completely egg-free. Additionally the food was delicious. We will definitely return the next time we visit Killarney.
01/10/2025: Absolutely loved this hotel! It had classic Irish charm while still feeling very comfortable and welcoming. My husband especially enjoyed the putting mat in our room. We only stayed one night, but the staff were so kind and the amenities excellent. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne, which made our stay extra special. Parking was close by and convenient, and the location made it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Killarney. Highly recommend!

26/09/2025: Decent pizza, but a total rip off. The website lists sizes as medium and large without saying what that means. When it arrives, the box shows inches instead… a “medium” is just 9 inches. Pulling a fast one on their customers.
Nearly €100 for four small pizzas, dips, a small portion of wings, plus a €3 delivery fee (to Leixlip, literally around the corner). Shrinkflation at its finest. I’ll stick with Base in Lucan, better quality and ye don’t feel conned when the delivery chap comes knocking 😂.
