23/11/2024: The reason it got 4 stars is the premise was cold on arrival at 6pm ( it doesn’t open at 17:30 as stated on trip adviser ) I had the Chicken supreme and better half had the fish and chips. Have to say very tasty. We were served by Anastasia who was very polite, moving us to a warmer position etc. I recommend Nivana, but leave to a bit later if weather is cold

18/04/2025: Atmosfera accogliente e cibo tradizionale sono le parole d'ordine per questo pub. Appena fuori dal centro offre pochi ma deliziosi piatti. L' unico neo è la mancanza di musica dal vivo. Consigliabile prenotare per sedersi in tutta la comodità. Prezzi in linea.

07/04/2025: Fui a comer por recomendación, tuve su hamburguesa con papas fritas, que venía con un poco de ensalada al lado, tanto la hamburguesa como las papas fritas estaban calientes y sabrosas.

04/04/2025: Starting the evening with dinner at this restaurant was a mistake. A guarantee of a spoiled mood and a bad weekend. The website is completely unprepared for customer service. The person introducing you to the room (maybe the manager) has argonism written all over his face. He doesn't offer to take off his coat or greet you with a warm smile. When you express your dissatisfaction when asked by the waiter about your satisfaction with the meal, he disappears. Literally, he ignores and walks away. Extremely! After a while, he comes back with the bill and you are forced to pay for a dish that you did not consume due to its quality and taste. Only the appearance of the dish was not repulsive, but it was not a guarantee of great taste. First of all, the halibut fish I ordered was dry, which should not have been the case. This fish looked nothing like a juicy halibut. The dish was bland and bland. Unfortunately, the website does not accept criticism and allows the guest to feel bad. Total lack of qualifications and problem-solving skills. It is also difficult not to mention a series of mistakes made by the staff regarding a simple tea order. Initially, the jug was delivered with only water, then the tea was not what I asked for and each time there was no apology or explanation from the server. Total lack of respect and ignorance. I wonder if no one has reported this before. Culinary lowlands, amateur waiters, lack of manners - that's how I would describe this place.

30/03/2025: Food was OK, but service was exceptionally poor, ranging from incredible inattentiveness to forgotten orders and inappropriately long waits for requests/orders. At 2230, when there were only a few customers left in the restaurant, you would expect tip-top, very attentive service for the few remaining tables. At €125 per head, I would have expected a lot more. There was a 12.5% service charge included in the bill (8 covers); it's just as well, because I would left zero tip if I had the option. There was a legendary, non-Irish, professional rugby player in attendance tonight at another table; I pray to God his experience was better than ours - embarrassing.

08/04/2025: Lovely, well run hotel in the main street. Food tasty and reasonable priced. It can be busy with a short wait for a table but you can sit in the foyer.

15/03/2025: Stayed in Carriag hotel for about 12 weeks in total over the last year and a half. Staff were top class, very friendly. Food top class, very well fed. Would recommended to anyone that's looking to stay if on work around tipperary/Kilkenny/waterford broader. Or in kildalton agricultural college which only 10 mins drive away.

30/03/2025: Decent enough food but overpriced, however appreciate that the customer agrees to the prices when ordering. Service was poor, incorrect order brought to the table and some items forgotten. Make sure to check your bills too as they over charged us by adding extra items we hadn't ordered! Could have been an honest mistake but shouldn't happen in a well established restaurant.

20/04/2025: Really bad customer service. We ordered online and paid by card but the website showed "awaiting confirmation" so we gave them a call to see if the order had gone through or not. On the phone they told us the website is down and we can order on the phone. So we gave them the same order again. Then when we come to collect, the price had gone up over 20 euro! Excuse me?! We had screenshot from our original order from the website and all, but not only they didn't apologise for the inconvenience, but they actually said it was normal that it was more expensive when not through their website. No, it's not. We were ordering for collection, not dine-in and they knew. If they had told us the price would be different we would have ordered from somewhere else. We live locally and won't be getting pizza from here again: RIP-OFF and really bad form.

18/01/2025: De vuelta a Hacienda para otra súper noche de fiesta. Todo sobre este lugar es de primera clase. Una cálida y amable bienvenida - encantadores cócteles - excelente comida - muy buen vino - un entorno cómodo - precios muy razonables. Este es un súper restaurante, y visitamos a menudo - y nunca se decepcionó. Muy recomendable.

10/03/2025: Super little cafe with a lovely breakfast menu. It was clean and bright and staff were friendly. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. The presentation was delightful!

18/03/2025: I don't remember how I discovered The Window Box, but I do remember back in the day I ordered the blueberry pancakes and it was love at first sight, so fluffy and delicious. I was very happy when I heard they were expanding and got a new spot in the same village, (so they went from a food truck to a proper cafe) Anyway, I went a few days ago to try it out and they're still as amazing as always. A wonderful coffee, the pancakes are absolutely delicious, and the granola with yogurt was also very good. Great service, cosy place, child friendly. A little gem in the lovely Rathfarnham village. I'm sending some virtual positive energies so the cafe continues its success! Totally recommended.

03/03/2025: a Kimchi Sandwich and Spicy pork sandwich here today, and it was absolutely fantastic! As a Korean, I couldn’t quite imagine what it would taste like just from the name, so I hesitated at first. But after trying it, I completely fell in love with it, and I know I’ll be coming back for more. Thank you for serving such an amazing brunch! Their beautiful coffee was also a delight.

10/03/2025: Quirky little coffee shop quietly tucked away from the busy town. Coffee is beautiful, and the food is absolutely delicious!! Such a lovely and sweet man, Dave's Deli and coffee shack is Ballina's hidden gem.

24/01/2025: The breakfast spot we stopped at didn't have coffee due to their coffee machine breaking, so we stumbled along this place after our breakfast and I am so glad we did. This is by far the best coffee I have had an Ireland so far and I have been here for 5 days and tried coffee in many different towns/cities. The woman behind the counter was knowledgeable and helped me get a strong tasting coffee. I ordered a white mocha latte and my partner ordered a gingerbread latte. They were both divine. The service was quick and the cost was decent at 4.20 euros each for what seemed like a regular size. The decor outside was funny with all the cute coffee signs and inside the shop was homey feeling. I saw that they also make sandwiches and if I ever stop in this town again I will be sure to try one! If you find yourself in county Mayo definitely stop by this little shop, the coffee alone is worth it.

20/04/2025: There is live music every Thursday and Saturday and the musicians are simply outstanding! Those present pay attention to the music or simply sing along. Friendly service and good beer. Is a pub with lots of beers but no food, so I didn't rate the food.

16/04/2025: Great authentic trad music there on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9pm. Lovely pints!
