17/03/2026: Went in today with my partner and my 3 year old daughter for something to eat. We qued up at reception and waited to be seated we were then seated and ordered drinks. We asked for a high chair for my daughter as it was a two seater table. We were told that there couldn't be a high chair at the table as it would block the walkway and were told by staff that she would move us which we were absolutely fine with. Not long after a woman came down which I presumed to be management. She told us we couldn't put a highchair at the table which my partner explained we were just waiting to be moved. She then accused us of skipping the que and just sitting down which was a lie as the lady who seated us confirmed this. We were basically told we then had to vacated the table after waiting an been seated. The way me and my partner were spoken to was absolutely atrocious we were spoke to like children. I was then charged for the drinks we barely finished as we had to leave not even an apology. What was meant to be a good day was absolutely ruined. I am strongly thinking of taking this further with a formal complaint. I look forward to hearing from management.

08/03/2026: Starting with the phone call when I booked the table for 6, service was very fast and efficient. The staff work great as a team, we didn't have to wait long for the food at all considering how much we ordered. The portions are huge and everything tasted great. I've been here a few times before and my mam is a regular but I was really impressed today in particular. Great spot, can easily recommend this place to anyone

01/04/2026: Our favourite bar in Ireland ❤️ friendly service. The Irish lady with long dark hair was so accommodating there was no chocolate sauce for the desert so she went out of her way to go to the shops to try and get some but unfortunately couldnt but the fact she tried was great. It's been our local whilst staying in kinsale and travelling all over through the day. Food was delicious staff friendly. Great atmosphere very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended to all !

29/11/2025: We came to Dublin for a day trip and completed we found this amazing hidden gem! Amazing food, great service and really good value! Thank you Ann’s house, if we ever visit Dublin again we will be sure to come back.

27/04/2026: The staff were very unfriendly towards us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. There was no offer of advice or assistance whatsoever. The food was not very appealing for the price.

26/04/2026: I’ve been coming to this restaurant for quite some time, and it used to be one of my favourite spots for Vietnamese soup. The food was consistently authentic, the soup was always served properly hot, and the owner created a welcoming, attentive atmosphere that made you want to come back. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been increasingly disappointing. The most noticeable issue is the temperature of the soup—it’s often only lukewarm, which really takes away from the flavour and overall experience. For a place known for its soup, this is a major letdown. The service has also changed significantly. While I understand the restaurant is busy, the staff now seem rushed and inattentive, with little care for customer experience. On my latest visit, both my boyfriend and I were spoken to in a rude and dismissive manner—once while ordering and again when simply asking for chopsticks. This kind of interaction makes customers feel unwelcome. It’s disappointing to see a place with such strong potential decline like this. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this restaurant used to be something special.

14/04/2026: I ordered a steak sandwich and a pot oftea from a pleasant waitress. What I got on the plate was nice chips, unfresh looking side salad, barely a pass. Egg cup of gravy and the steak sandwich!!! The so called steak had to be separated from the grizzle and fat, not fit for a slow cooker. Even finding tender meat was like removing fish bones. As I was cold hungry and tired I ate the salad chips gravy bread and meat scraps. Which I removed from the drizzle. After eating and before paying. I requested a word with the chef with the serving waitress as I explained that she did not deserve to hear my grievance. I made it clear that I had no issue with payment as I had already eaten. She pressed me as to what was wrong. I told her and pointed to the drizzle on plate. She disappeared. No chef appeared. I went to the counter and paid. I told the pleasant young bar tender I had afforded the chef an opportunity to hear me. He was disinterested as was the waitress. The pub was clean as were the toilets. The cost was €24.00. As it was not too busy. In my opinion There is no excuse for a chef to plate up such a pathetic portion whatever you wish to call it. To think Irish meat quality is considered to be very good. You can see attached photo. Of what was left on the plate and decide for yourself.

05/04/2026: Went for dinner with my wife, absolutely terrible food. Steak sandwich was like chewing rubber and bruschetta was by far the worst I've ever had. Terrible experience

23/12/2025: Really good food, coffee and staff. The staff are friendly and the service is great. They are accommodating and happy to help. The outdoor covered seating area is very uniquely decorated, and very much adds to the atmosphere. The decor lives up to the cafe name. They provide blankets and heaters so no worries about being cold. The vegan options are delicious, as is the coffee and sweet treats

22/04/2026: Very well located, the staff were very attentive and efficient. The decor is unique, and they play pleasant background music without being intrusive. The food was decent, although the meat was a little overcooked for my taste. The seafood chowder was a great choice!

21/04/2026: Olivia was an outstanding waitress for our large group—always smiling and incredibly attentive. The fish and chips were amazing, and everyone at the table ordered something different that was just as delicious. The Irish dinner music playing throughout made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

06/05/2026: Attended a wedding here and the venue was stunning. We were lucky with great weather and the courtyard is fantastic to enjoy the sun or inside has plenty of room to throw shapes on the dance floor or park up and rest on a cozy booth table. The steak is something I will be dreaming of for the next year or until I can get back there.

01/05/2026: I visited two months ago for my birthday and had a truly five-star experience. While the service last night was immaculate as expected, the food did not quite reach the same standard. The scallops and garnish were slightly burned, and while the steak frites was delicious, the steak was not diced as it had been previously. At this price point, I expect the execution to be spot on. We love your restaurant and look forward to returning soon.

25/10/2025: 5 stars all the way for our day 2 wedding celebrations at Swan's Curragh. If you are looking for a venue look no further than Swan's. Amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff. Even a lift home at the end if the night. Thank you Patrick for the music and food recommendations a perfect night to end our celebrations Ken and Rosalind

12/04/2026: Definitely the perfect pub to hit up if you're unsure where to start in Dublin! We flew in from Canada and were having a rough go at first, but that all changed when we had the privilege of chattting up Tom and Ella at the Millhouse. Their hospitality and kindness changed everything for us. We had our first Guinness in Dublin with them as they told us their favorite places to go, and I can't thank them enough for it! They saved my engagement trip, and they dont even know it. ❤️

11/04/2026: Awful experience. Poor service and disappointing food. The manager/owner was super rude and offensive . Not with everyone though if you know what I mean . We were also rushed while still finishing our drinks, despite the place being nearly empty. €50 completely wasted. Won’t be back.
