15/02/2026: Absolutely delicious! Had a fantastic meal here. We ordered the mixed grill platter and the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The portion size is generous, and the fresh bread and rice paired perfectly with everything. The garlic and chili sauces were the cherry on top. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic and tasty food!

14/02/2026: The food was good. Meat was tender. The Service though, was not so good. Same guy working as cashier and waiter.. acting oddly rude and out of place.. dosent know how to talk to people... Refused to recommend anything when we asked for recommendations... thinks everyone is from his hometown and will understand his causal .. unprofessional ways . . Got a packing container to take the left over food from out meal.. it opened wide on way back home and the paper bag was so thin.. it dissolved in the humidity of the salad.. and made an utter mess right on our doorstep... Weird experience. Improve your behavior !! Everyone is not from your culture... Treat them with the respect that is due !!

19/03/2026: Wanted to celebrate a birthday - got bad service (they only came to us once), food was unexpectedly the worst in Dublin (beef stew completely unsalted, fish&chips also not recommendable). We returned the beef stews to the kitchen - they still wanted to charge it! All 6 of us don’t recommend this place, though the location is stunning.

02/02/2026: This great pub has both old and new in one. On one side is a old style bar done beautifully then through a little arch opens up into a more modern area, both complementing each other, great little out door area for those lovely summer evenings. Staff are very welcoming and pleasant. Food is a must if your just popping in for a nibble or full meal, menu caters for all. Really a must visit if in this beautiful part of the country. 5*'s all round

09/01/2026: The Staff in Roches are absolutely rude and I will never step here in this Bar/Restaurant again. The way the manager spoke to us was disgusting and disgraceful.

21/03/2026: My expectations were high after reading all of the reviews and Chai-Yo DID NOT DISAPPOINT ONE BIT!!! Loved the staff, music, and the food. Sam was a great chef. Life is short, go to Teppanyaki and have some fun!!!

18/03/2026: One of the most fun dining experiences in Dublin. The chefs and the entire staff made the dinner so enjoyable. The food was delicious and better quality than any Hibachi in the US, and were super cautious about my friend’s food allergy.

27/12/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited JC Fish & Chips takeaway in West Cork and the food was incredibly delicious. I had the fish of the day with chips and an apple juice. Everything was very fresh, high quality, and perfectly cooked. The price was very reasonable for such great food. I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

06/03/2026: The chef working the kitchen on the 5th of March seriously needs a lesson in cooking steak. I asked for medium-rare and got very rare—barely cooked. I ate about two-thirds of it before I couldn’t convince myself to keep going, so I got the rest put in a takeaway box for the dogs. Best part being the place itself, it’s very well designed and looks nice My missus got a smash burger which was poorly cooked as well. The food is robbery for the price, and I’m kicking myself today that we even went. Do better, guys—it’s a local restaurant in Blackrock, not a Michelin-star place. The staff are nice, but there’s really no need for the amount of them there. Won’t forget this €93 whole in my wallet

With over 60 guests, everything ran so smoothly and the food was absolutely amazing. I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. Your service was top-notch, and everyone genuinely loved and enjoyed the food. Thank you so much for making the day so special.

23/02/2026: Excellent value for money! We had two starters (seafood chowder) and were very satisfied. The fish was fresh and delicious. Guinness is €5.50. The garlic bread was a little lacking in garlic. The place is heated by a wood fire! Great for a stopover.

06/01/2026: Stopped in on our first night in Dublin and wasn’t disappointed. We ordered the fish and chips and it was very good! Fish was cooked very well and super flaky. The chips were crispy and overall tasty dish! Would definitely come back again.

Good selection of dishes on the menu, and the meals I have had there (including starter, main, snd dessert) were very tasty. Meals are competitively priced. Service is very good, and staff are pleasant and friendly.

I ordered the pancakes, and they were absolutely delicious, fluffy and perfectly cooked, served with the right amount. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu.
