The best restaurants

15/09/2026: Such a great vibe at this restaurant! Lovely, engaged staff and great food. Ioana was our server and made excellent recommendations based on what we liked. We had a pizza, mushroom soup and cheesecake, and everything was superb. The cheesecake especially was absolutely delicious! We sat outside with our dog with Trim Castle as the backdrop. Just perfect!

13/09/2026: We stopped at Flambé after exploring Trim and had a really nice experience. We had our dog with us, so the dog-friendly outdoor seating was perfect, especially with the great view of Trim Castle. Our server, Ioana, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely chat with her as well. Good food, beautiful setting, and genuinely friendly service — definitely a nice place to stop when visiting Trim.

22/09/2026: Pizza dough recipe needs a little revision IMHO but overall great food (Caesar salad was especially wonderful). Excellent service (kindest people ever). Loved the decoration.

12/08/2026: A nice variation to the standard six meals available everywhere else. Pizza and Pasta are highly recommended.

26/07/2026: Lovely campsite with playground and coffee shop, beautiful location and clean facilities. There is a large kitchen, but they do not provide a fridge for campers.

29/08/2026: Brilliant day out for kids the cave is very interesting and then a nice play area for after the tour,nice little gift shop there aswell so no complaints here staff very nice and welcoming aswell

13/12/2025: Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We were served burgers without fries, which were not included or even offered. The burgers themselves were very basic and quite poor in quality. Considering the price, the value for money was not good at all. We expected much more for what we paid.

08/09/2026: I eat there at least once a week if not more - there is a good reason for that : I do not need a sauce to accompany their fillet of steak : It is cooked and tastes to perfection 100% ALL of the time . Well done Hellfire . Continuously cooking steaks to Perfection 👌

08/09/2026: Good restaurant. But steaks were ok, rib eye rather thin for 45 euros. Civichy had barely any seafood in it. Service was very good. If you can't cook steak yourself you will like it.

A warm and welcoming place, delicious food, and staff who genuinely enjoy being friendly and attentive, especially the Mexican woman who was excellent at recommending dishes and serving us. It was a great experience. We'll be back!

22/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Birthday Celebration at Belleek Castle Hotel We recently celebrated a birthday party at Belleek Castle Hotel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. A special thank you to Eva, who helped with the booking and suggested many great ideas that made the celebration even more special. Steven, the Operations head, leads his team with great professionalism and attention to detail. John, Daria, Raquel,forgot the other girl name (sorry) were excellent and Victoria did an amazing job with the setup, making the venue look beautiful. A special mention to receptionists Briyana and Ivana, who warmly welcomed our guests, guided them to the hall, and were very professional throughout the event. The food was lovely, and all of our guests praised the chef for the excellent meal. We also had the pleasure of meeting Andrew (Headchef) , who took great care of everyone, checking that all guests were comfortable and enjoying themselves. It was wonderful to meet the owner, Mathieu Doran, who was friendly and welcoming. After lunch, all of our guests enjoyed the guided castle tour with Paul (tour guide). He provided a fascinating and detailed explanation of the castle's history. The tour included the dungeons, museum, armoury room, fossils, rocks, and many other unique historical collections. There is so much to see and learn. I highly recommend Belleek Castle Hotel for weddings, birthday parties, special celebrations, and hotel stays. The exceptional staff, delicious food, beautiful setting, and rich history of the castle create a truly memorable experience. Thank you to everyone who made our celebration so special! 😊🏰🎉

13/05/2026: If you’re looking for THE castle experience this is it! The overall experience has been top tier offering grand furnishings, indulging restaurant and bar menu and relaxing atmosphere. The neo-gothic architecture and interior design transports you back in time. The only restaurant on site offers a unique and elegant menu with the highly recommended Drunken Bullock steak that is an experience in itself. As I write this, lounging in the luxuriously decorated sitting room adjacent to the Armada Bar, I can confidently tell you this is the place to book if you’re looking for a private castle visit. With only 10 bedrooms, you are guaranteed a timeless environment that takes you back in time. We are traveling the Wild Atlantic Way, which the Belleek castle has special WAW bundle offer with complimentary breakfast every morning, one night of complimentary 3 course meal for 2 at the their restaurant and 2 pints of Guinness at the armada bar. They also offer a tour (highly recommend booking) of the castle and dungeons daily which gives you an extra activity to do around the property. We are a young couple visiting from California. We got to meet the owner and he was so kind and friendly to us and our 16month baby. Happy to write they offer pop up cot which has been our deciding factor in choosing our residences along the WAW so we didn’t have to travel with a pop up cot. All in all would highly recommend coming on a weekday where you can avoid a possible wedding/wedding guests. The castle was up to par with what we had expected— the food/service was great and beautifully furnished. Some might expect Ritz Carlton meets Highclere castle- This is not that so get your expectations right before coming. The castle was such a fun experience along our journey across Ireland.

25/08/2026: Welcome stop on the way from the airport to Donegal. Newly refurbished and clean. Only down side is the staff dont seem too enthusiastic but hey ho any port in a storm.
