The best restaurants

09/08/2026: I had a lovely dinner here with a friend on our last evening in Dublin. We really enjoyed our food and drinks and the view of the river. We will for sure be back next time we’re in Ireland!!

09/08/2026: A beautiful and historic spot on the north side of the river, across from Temple Bar. The smoked fish dish is a must-try.

18/07/2026: I stayed at the Fitzpatrick hotel for 2 nights, and during those two nights I gathered some things. The hotel is very nice, the staff is very hospitable and the restaurant in the hotel is actually quite nice, however the rooms are a different story, the mattresses are ok and the linens are nice and soft, but the couch in the room is gross and ratty and there is lose threads all over the couch which is unfortunate. The other problem i noticed with the room is the mold... there was mold all over the ceiling in my room, it was actually quite disgusting and I was uncomfortable sleeping there. If you need a hotel to stay in kinda close to Dublin and you want to stay in a castle I guess this is fine but honestly I would look into something else

08/08/2026: First time eating here as a coeliac which always comes with its challenges but our waitress Michelle was absolutely on the ball, as soon as I told her about my dietary restrictions she reassured me that it would be no problem and informed me of all the ways in which they avoid cross contamination putting my mind at ease. She was an absolute breath of fresh air with a vibrant and endearing personality and clearly a very hard worker and asset to the team. As a coeliac I would definitely recommend dining here. Thank you Michelle !

27/04/2026: Lovely old pub, it's great how they've managed to keep the character of the place. Pints are great and the aesthetic is really unique. My favourite pub in Navan.

30/08/2026: Enjoyed a tasty breakfast here a few days back... Chicken eggs benny. The atmosphere was nice & calm, with comfortable & clean seating areas - though the service was somewhat slow. What they lost on service, they gained back on taste - the food was deliciously tasty, and big servings. Prices very reasonable too

17/09/2026: Went there yesterday for a pint and a meal. Great service, great food. My wife rated the seafood chowder as the best she has had in Ireland. That's a big call since we have had some rippers. My friend and I had the Junction burger which was great. 10 out of 10.

05/07/2026: Food was perfect, catered for our baby. Great menu. Steak and fish were well flavored. Staff are always attentive. Well worth it. Dont understand some of other reviews. "Very noisy and not very romantic). If you want quietness and romance got to the cinema or stay at home under a dim light with a candle on the coffee table wrapped up on the couch with a duvet and a bag of Hunky Dorys watching 50 shades of grey Its not a matchmakers restaurant. Well done to MJ and his staff, perfect every time.👌👌👌👌👌

10/11/2025: Having wasted 10 years of my life before accidentally finding the best coffee shop (and so much more) in Galway, then to find it's closing. Such a shame because it really is so good. But at least I also now know of the other & remaining branch: Briarhill Grind here I come!

20/08/2026: This is a really good cafe with very good service. 4 of us went. 2 got pancakes and bacon and 2 of us got the mini breakfast. Really good food, rashers on the pancakes might be a small bit too crispy. Portions were good. Would definitely recommend this place.

07/05/2026: We stopped here during our tour of Ireland and absolutely loved it. The crêpes were delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The café itself has such a charming, cozy atmosphere and was one of the cutest stops we made in Co. Clare. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and wonderful hospitality.

30/08/2026: Late review, but I visited this pub late Nov 2025 after I caught my bloody valentine on tour in Dublin. Extremely cozy vibes. Best pint of Beamish I had in Cork. This is definitely a hidden gem. I had an amazing chat with the owner. When I pointed out the Rory Gallagher picture on the wall he mentioned that he has served his dad there. Don't sleep on this!

03/08/2026: A lovely pub — Mary, one of the owners, was very kind (and shocked to hear other reviews had mentioned her by name!). We had a great pint chatting with a local man. Cozy spot, not too busy on a Monday night.

15/09/2026: Such a great vibe at this restaurant! Lovely, engaged staff and great food. Ioana was our server and made excellent recommendations based on what we liked. We had a pizza, mushroom soup and cheesecake, and everything was superb. The cheesecake especially was absolutely delicious! We sat outside with our dog with Trim Castle as the backdrop. Just perfect!

13/09/2026: We stopped at Flambé after exploring Trim and had a really nice experience. We had our dog with us, so the dog-friendly outdoor seating was perfect, especially with the great view of Trim Castle. Our server, Ioana, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely chat with her as well. Good food, beautiful setting, and genuinely friendly service — definitely a nice place to stop when visiting Trim.
