03/11/2024: Lovely little Cafe. Three ladies behind the counter were amazing, friendly and well run. The cafe was very busy and I can see why. Good choices of good honest food. All of us enjoyed our meals. We'll done ladies!

09/01/2025: A great place for a few drinks and a bit of craic. John the owner is superb, the bar staff are very friendly. A place that feels like home, only here has been taps!

24/11/2024: Would rate 0 stars if possible, my cocktail came with a dead fly as garnish, when I asked for it to be remade I got the same cocktail with the dead fly only partially removed, the manager Aisling Hall, delivered the 3rd attempt at a cocktail within 60 seconds of the 2nd one going back and when confronted about the quick turnaround stated “this is the 3rd free cocktail you are after getting” and at no stage was there any apology for the initial fly in the drink or any acknowledgment of the fact that she didn’t remake the initial drink. Would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys the taste of dead fly and terrible customer service.

12/02/2025: I was really disappointed by my recent stay at the Radisson. An error during check in which was being blamed on me and very rude service from the two ladies at reception, to being given a room with the worst mattress I've ever slept on, a broken window and broken/stained fixtures. The gym and pool did not open on time either meant my stay was utterly unacceptable and whilst I often travel to Athlone for work purposes, I will no longer be staying here and will instead opt for alternatives nearby. The restaurant staff are all pleasant and the food is acceptable, the one good thing I would say.

28/12/2024: This is by far the nicest, most welcoming friendliest take away I have ever been to. I recently while passing through cahir decided to stop in here , and I can’t stop but think about going back everyday for some food and the main guy working behind the counter is the friendliest, nicest person I have met. I am from clonmel and there is just something about cahir where the people are more friendly,nicer and more welcoming and the food in this Chinese is the nicest food I have ever got. Absolutely delicious and thank you for being so nice. I will be back and recommend this Chinese to everyone I speak to , for the food and the kindness. Thank you all for being so nice.

25/11/2024: Very central to everything...the location is truly supreme! Zero service for a 4 star... everything left to chance. No luggage service.. so we brought 6 suitcases to our room from outside the hotel upon arrival by taxi to our room. Really????? If it had only been one suitcase I would have worried about doing it myself but 6 suitcases in total I think they should review this service. Excellent service from the restaurant supervisor at breakfast time (Portuguese guy), who made us feel at home, his concern for everyone was excellent, to be honest... and his professionalism!!!! At the lobby bar (NO WAY), dirty uniform then after dinner and abrupt and surly service! It's a shame that with 52 hotels in the chain you don't talk about training staff with passion for the guest..

23/11/2024: As a group of four on a two day city break we were extremely happy with our stay at the Maldron. Rooms were of a high standard and kept very clean. Friendly and very helpful staff at reception, bar and at breakfast each morning. The location is great for exploring the city

31/12/2024: We visited on 31st of December at around 4pm. We were waiting almost 20 minutes for our order to be taken, the waitress (Maria) took our order and when she asked what we would like I said 2 chicken tender baskets, she nodded, asked what drinks I said 2 cokes then I asked if she could add bacon and cheese on BOTH fries then she rolled her eyes and sighing as if we were inconveniencing her with our presence. then a different waitress brought our food which was only 1 basket no cheese and bacon on the fries and 1 coke (with a receipt which included one of each) Once we told the second waitress that our order included 2 of each she was very apologetic and helped us out. Amazing service from her part. I don’t know if Maria was having a bad or having a hard time understanding English or if she was just slow or stressed out over Christmas and the new years but that is no way to work in a restaurant.

30/11/2024: Awful service. Made us wait over half an hour for an order that, in the end, was not what I ordered. I’ll never go back.

23/06/2024: Came in for food. Sat out in back garden. Initially, there was no waiter in the garden. Upon showing up, he kept ignoring us until I waved at him. When asked to order food, he stated he would be right back. On coming back kept ignoring us, so we left. The bartender was very pleasant, and beer was good.

22/06/2024: Friendly staff, but a wreck trying to serve us food. Waited 45 minutes for food and left.

08/07/2024: The food is super delicious and reasonably priced.

29/06/2024: Very good value. Ordered a durum mix menu. Chef was ok with making it into a wrap. Nicely sliced and even gave some vinegar for chips. Can highly recommend. Good friendly service and super tasty kebab

14/12/2024: Wife and I popped in for a bite to eat. And the 5th 🌟 for the special service in make our request to share the burger and fish, but solve the mozzarella problem, a reality. Thank you to the lovely young lady who helped us..

20/10/2024: Food was gorgeous. Ordered beef burger and it came with fries, dipping sauces and side salad. Burger was delicious, same with fries, probably one of the best burgers I had in Cork. Pickled side salad was ok but it was not my cup of tea, would swap it for something else. And their pickles - heaven! I love pickles and this one was perfect - crunchy and juicy. Staff is welcoming and friendly, and place has a nice cosy atmosphere. I found it a little bit expensive though - but can’t complain, food was delicious.

28/01/2025: Ordered beef burger meal and two garlic cheese chips. Burger was decent, but chips were very undercooked and impossible to eat. If it takes them to cook 5 minutes please keep them in the fryer for 5 minutes, DO NOT take them out earlier, it’s not a rocket science.. Train your staff :(

12/01/2025: Super Mac's provided quick service and delicious meals. The eating areas don't seem to be cleaned too often, making it difficult to find a clean table
