The best restaurants

15/11/2025: This was an absolutely disgraceful order. I got 4 chicken wings and 4 honey wings, and both were completely ruined. The honey wings were covered in some weird maple-like sauce, and the batter on all of them stank of old, filthy oil that’s clearly never changed. Everything tasted like it had been fried in the leftovers of ten other dishes. The coating was burnt, greasy, and honestly disgusting. I had to throw almost everything in the bin. This place has zero standards. Never again — I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

04/11/2025: I ordered fish and chips for delivery. There were very few real chips as most of the "chips" were the crispy ends and the fish was overcooked, the batter being dark brown and hard and the fish itself dry!

02/07/2025: This is our place to drink our coffee, we like they give us a card and we can get a free one occasionally. I don't understand why they can't let us have a cold coffee for free like they do with the hot coffees. Also they should ask if we are drinking in there or to take out. We get plastic recipients when we are staying in the place, it should be nice to have the right one when we are in the area.

26/10/2025: The chef here does not care. I have never had indian food with so little taste. Ever. The sauces with the poppadoms were an early indicator - one sweet thing and one nothing both with all flavour removed. I got the chicken bhuna - sauce was orange and homogenous - no heat, no sign of spices or veg nada, tasted of nothing. Son is coealiac and one of the naans (kema) was on the menu as GF, we ordered it. It was a regular naan - server checked and confirmed it was GF, it was not. They obviously had no clue about GF. Poor service also. AVOID.

28/09/2025: The curries all taste the same. Very disappointing food!

03/07/2025: Iv given Warren Allen numerous chances now as the coffee is simply stunning, but it is in no way worth dealing with the appalling attitude of staff. The 2 main people, a man and woman, who I can only assume are managers, don’t seem to have the capability to smile. The level of unnecessary rudeness and deplorable customer service skills have marked their card for me… plenty other places in Bandon with lovely coffee AND lovely staff…

09/07/2025: Be careful when ordering because you might get scammed like I did today. I went to Apache to order a rooster wrap meal, but I wanted dynamite fries instead of the plain fries the meal comes with. The guy said that they can't do that, but I can get the dynamite fries separately, and I said that's fine. I expected to get the wrap and the dynamite fries instead of the plain fries. When I ordered my food, the guy charged me 18 euros, and I already realized that something isn't right, because 18 euros for one wrap and one order of dynamite fries? When my food came, I realized that the guy charged for the wrap, the dynamite fries AND the plain chips that came with the wrap meal (which I didn't want, I wanted the dynamite fries instead of them). So basically, I got charged for plain chips, which I didn't want, I wanted the dynamite fries instead of the plain chips that came with the meal. Be careful when you order and be extra clear about what you want. I probably won't be returning here, I'll be going to the Supermac's across the street because there the cashiers have a better understanding of your order, and also you can customize the chips that come with your meal without any issues.

15/11/2025: Ordered mushroom rice and curry. I guess they served old preserved ones. No salt or necessary items in the curries or the rice. Very disappointed.

31/10/2025: I wanted to have an Abrakebabra after years, went in and first off the prices were so high, 16 quid for a regular meal is insane. Tbh I walked in on a quiet Monday afternoon but the food was t the same as I remembered the meat was okay but the vegs werent so much and ruined the whole meal. The fries werent fried properly, it was still frozen a lil inside. I went to ask the staff remake it but his attitude wasnt nice. Really hoping I walked in on a bad day and hopeful next time it wont be the same

04/08/2025: I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Dunbrodie House Hotel so that future guests are aware of the hotel's disappointing stance on customer care. Earlier this year, I booked a two-night bed-and-breakfast stay using a Blue Book voucher — a retirement gift from my colleagues. Just a few miles away from the hotel on the day of check-in, I received an emergency call from my daughter: our young grandson had fallen seriously ill and was being rushed to hospital by ambulance. I called the hotel immediately to explain that we would not be able to check in under such distressing circumstances. I was told I would forfeit the full value of the booking (€660) as the cancellation was too late. I later emailed the manager asking — not for a refund — but simply to reschedule the booking at an off-peak time, as a gesture of basic compassion. After several emails, I was "offered" the same package again for a further €560 which would mean our two- night stay would cost us €1,220. I was shocked at the coldness and inflexibility of this response. While I understand policies are in place for a reason, many hotels demonstrate kindness when emergencies arise. Sadly, Dunbrodie House chose not to. It felt both unsympathetic and needlessly rigid, especially considering the booking was made using a meaningful gift voucher. It’s a beautiful property, but I cannot recommend it to anyone who values humanity and basic understanding in customer service. I sincerely hope the management rethinks how they treat guests during genuine emergencies.

23/02/2025: Delicious (rich) food in a delightful location not far from the spectacular Hook Head peninsula; served by polite and engaging staff. Not cheap; in fact expensive but well worth an indulgent break. To be thoroughly recommended. 4.5 out of 5

11/08/2025: Sadly this place has gone down hill. It used to have a beautiful and fresh variety of salads on offer! Coffee is very poor with an odd gone off smell!! Food is not near as good as what it used to be. The staff working there are polite and helpful but sadly because of the quality of food and coffee I can't come back to once one of my favourite wee cafes ...

03/06/2025: Visited during lunch time and had a great experience. Food was amazing and ready much quicker than you'd be waiting in a similar restaurant/takeaway. Highly recommend.

25/09/2025: I enjoy calling into Kall & Dyyne when I'm in Milstreet their's a really nice woman working in there she's very pleasant the cakes are very nice I highly recommend people visit the place

27/05/2025: Great experience this morning by the 2 staff on duty at 9am Tuesday 27th May. The young lady serving me was pleasant & patient with me as i dithered to place my order. Also bought 2 'You are here' mugs that I'd asked a member of staff yesterday to please save for me. Well done Starbucks . Excellent customer experience

05/10/2025: Both my husband and I had severe food poisoning from here last night. We got the Farmhouse burger and shared the chicken tenders. Food seemed okay to look at (no pink meat etc) but the burger patty tasted off and both of us were violently sick throughout the night.
