11/04/2026: The menu is a very strong pub menu, I ordered the chicken burger and it was excellent. The staff are extremely friendly which adds to the lovely experience. Overall a nice place to go to!

24/04/2026: A great stop for lunch on our roadtrip. The summer salad with berries was excellent, a welcome change from the fried fish we’ve been eating. The seafood chowder was one of the best we’ve ever eaten. We ate up in the terrace area, great views.

31/12/2025: I arrived at 6:30pm on New Years Eve without a reservation. And when the woman in charge heard I was a party of one she immediately found me a spot. The curry chicken was great, and a huge serving. And it also included garlic bread AND chips! And since it was a special night I ordered the bread and butter pudding. They added every extra possible, and it was amazing! Thanks to all for making my solo night a memorable one! (And for keeping my glasses safe until I returned for them.) Highly recommend!

29/03/2026: Once again, over and over again, day after day, there's just not enough stars for all these pubs, walked down to Smyth's last night for a feed, and " need I say anymore? just wonderful... great food, great staff, great beers, great locals,, " take a bow you guys... 👍🍀🍺😊

18/02/2026: Visited Sept 2025 and again recently Feb 2026 from Australia. Food and service is top notch. Best caesar salad I've ever tasted and I've have a few over my years. Staff friendly and warm, authentic Irish atmosphere. A must when visiting Ballinamore

04/12/2025: A true Dublin pub, quite chill atmosphere for a bit of a chat. Perfect pints pours consitistantly and great service Not a tourist pub, if you want a true local pub experience then you will enjoy. If are looking for a plastic paddy pub head to temple bar.

11/04/2026: You have to stay here. Good area,Close enough to city, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Clean friendly and a chilled atmosphere. Really like it . Will be back.

06/01/2026: WARNING! This place was served a closure order for having cockroach’s next to food in the kitchen. A mix of live & dead cockroach’s along with cockroach’s at all life stages. Google keeps taking this review down which is shocking considering the state of the kitchen in this cafe

06/01/2026: I bought a full tray of baklava from Ella’s Heaven and it was absolutely outstanding. From the moment you open the box, you can smell the freshness real butter, high-quality pistachios, and perfectly baked layers. It’s not overly sweet or dry; the syrup balance is spot on, and every bite just melts in your mouth. It’s been a long time since I’ve had baklava of this quality in Ireland. You can truly taste the care, skill, and tradition in every single layer. I served it to guests and everyone loved it they all asked where it was from. Ella’s Heaven is not just about desserts; it’s about consistency, cleanliness, and top-level quality. I can confidently say this is the best baklava in Ireland. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates real, authentic taste.

11/04/2026: Lovely hotel. Everything and everywhere was very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly. Liked the decor throughout the hotel, very fresh and modern. Bedroom was a good size and well decorated. Liked the coffee machine and that there was also a kettle. Breakfast was great, a good selection available. Gluten free bread was available on request. About a ten minute walk to the main shopping area.

16/03/2026: 10/10 experience. Walking distance from the Anderson’s Quay bus station (highly recommend Kavanaugh coach). Private and quiet location off the main street. Open your window to enjoy the birds in the morning. Friendly, fast welcome at check in. Tidy and unfussy room was very comfortable and spacious. Shower water pressure was next-level. Biscuits and tea was a lovely finish to a long day. Close walk to dining options. Royal Wok is delicious and right around the corner. Endless shops and High Street close by. So perfect, can’t wait to be back.

22/02/2026: I had a great time at Freeney's Bar. Proper cozy Irish pub atmosphere and a really well-poured Guinness. The place feels authentic, relaxed, and perfect whether you just want a quiet pint or a chat with friends. Friendly service and a great spot to sit and watch the street while enjoying a drink. Definitely a place I’ll come back to. Sláinte! 🍺

Pure Kerry magic 🇮🇪 We began with a complimentary bread basket — homemade sourdough and brown bread with olive oil and tapenade. Simple, comforting, and exactly what you need to ease into a winter meal 🫒🍞 The duck croquette was a standout — confit duck leg with Asian slaw, pickled plums, and plum sauce. Crispy on the outside, rich on the inside, with that sweet-tangy plum cutting through perfectly 🦆 Then came The Lime Tree’s famous sticky chicken wings — glossy, saucy, and completely fall-off-the-bone. You can tell why they’ve earned their place on the menu 🔥 For mains, the Duo of Kerry Lamb stole the show. A beautifully pink rack of locally sourced lamb alongside a mini shepherd’s pie, finished with confit garlic and thyme jus. 03/05/2026: Great spot to taste traditional seafood dishes right next to the seaside. Fish and chips was good well buttered and fried. The atmosphere is really amazing and cozy with the characteristic presence of wood everywhere in the restaurant for a traditional seaside vibe. The only thing I might complain about is the service for the waiting time, that wasn’t the best I expected but still decent.

26/04/2026: Hi folks. Please go somewhere else than here.even a poor chipper would be way better. Won't bore ye about the unrealistic waiting time (busy 😴 1.47 hr/min ). Food was absolutely terrible. I had basic chicken meal. Veg was over cooked and tastles, mash had lumps of uncooked spuds in it , Chicken was tough but eat it as at that stage starving 🤨 plus meal barely warm.Anyway met owner , oh we never get complaints here .otherwords go away . I paid my bill never to return. Be aware.

14/04/2026: This is a well established, busy spot, breakfast/ lunch/ evening dinner, food is top notch, change of menu, well staffed/ managed, pristine. Off licence on site, decent amount of free parking, on easy access to or from town.
