18/03/2026: The overall atmosphere here is poor. Staff come across as cold, overly serious, and not welcoming. It feels more transactional than a place you’d actually want to spend time in. The biggest issue is the security team. Their role is to maintain order and create a safe environment while staying neutral, but that standard is not being met. The attitude, the looks, and the way they speak to customers come across as unprofessional and unnecessary. Making sarcastic comments to customers is completely inappropriate for that role. This place does not meet basic customer service expectations. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

14/03/2026: The fish and chips are good with two large sized pieces and plenty of chips. The service was fine. We liked the atmosphere.

16/03/2026: Really impressed by the Blackrock Village Centre, a good variety of shops, so lots to choose from. It is bright and clean and looks great after renovations a few years ago. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Would recommend it as a nice place to shop and have a coffee!

24/03/2026: Great time!!!! 10/10. Fabulous live music, great Guinness. Was pouring rain the night I was there (Nov 28,2025) was so bloody hot in the bar this 🇨🇦🇨🇦 had to keep going & dancing in the rain.

18/03/2026: Great bar, great staff and great entertainment. We were in Donegal for St Patrick's Day and we had the best of craic. Barman Mark kept the pints flowing, lovely fella. Definitely worth a visit.

22/12/2025: We went here twice and the food is really tasty and the service is very friendly. Homemade wraps are so tasty. Will definitely go again and would easily recommend.

15/11/2025: i don’t think i’ve ever paid so much for a cup of tea. €4.40 for a teabag is absolutely crazy. next time i won’t blindly order anything without checking the price beforehand! at least the tea was good 🫠 this review is not a reflection of the service or atmosphere, only a psa so customers are not shocked at the prices!

18/02/2026: Visited Sept 2025 and again recently Feb 2026 from Australia. Food and service is top notch. Best caesar salad I've ever tasted and I've have a few over my years. Staff friendly and warm, authentic Irish atmosphere. A must when visiting Ballinamore

14/02/2026: Today, February 14th, Valentine's Day, brings back wonderful memories. It was here that we got married 13 years ago. I met my wife at an English academy in Limerick, and after a few years of dating in Spain, we returned to Ireland to get married in Adare and celebrate in this charming, elegant, and stately country house. We were treated like royalty at our intimate and special wedding. Restaurant with local products and exquisite cuisine. We're back in Spain now, but Ireland is like our second home. We now have two children, and we named our little one Éire. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts.

04/07/2025: This is a great coffee shop with the best coffee and pastries ever. The owner is amazing guy and very friendly and helpful as we talked to him about things to see in the area. Love the ambience and vibe and food and drink.

01/03/2026: I had spotted this place near my hotel for an Irish lunch. We arrived on Monday, so we had to wait a bit before we could go. Our impatience led us to go on Thursday at lunchtime, and we weren't disappointed. The portion was generous and it was just like home cooking. Breakfast was also very good. The dining room is spacious and tastefully decorated. The welcome was very friendly. A great place to eat.

11/10/2025: Friendly service, good coffee, and a great atmosphere. You can choose from a variety of coffee beans, which makes it very interesting to have more than just an espresso. It's a great place for a quick stop.

20/09/2025: The pub is a wonderful local spot. Very friendly people and the proprietor , Joe, is very charming. The service was the best we've had yet, in a week in Ireland. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the halibut special and my wife had the organic chicken. Both well presented and tasted amazing. An absolute must stop for anyone looking for a great meal and a lovely pint.

30/12/2025: Beef and bean brunch option was poor. An extremely sugary sweet chili con carne with random things on top. Bread was good quality, but seemed to have been pan-fried in butter. Very odd. Unacceptable for the price. I ate it because I needed a meal, but should have sent it back. 'Pourover coffee' was very poor.
