Brew 21 Rathcoole
Rathcoole
18/02/2025: Delicious coffee and lovely staff
02/02/2025: The products are good for the price and taste good. However, I didn't find the service so friendly, we felt a little strange to see that other Acai bowl orders came with a wooden plate that included napkins and spoons and ours barely came with the acai container and the spoon . It was our first time visiting the cafe and we are thinking if it is really worth coming back.

Kingstons Boutique Hotel & Pub
Killorglin
16/04/2025: Easily one of the best places I‘ve stayed in Ireland so far. Lovely staff, absolutely nice, modern and convenient rooms. Very good continental breakfast with a good selection of savoury food as well as sweets and cereals. And you should definitely try the pizza for dinner, really thin and so delicious. Last but not least the rate for the room was quite fair. And I was able charge my car in 100m walking distance (ESB charging station).
28/03/2025: Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip and thought it was perfect. Couldn't fault it.
We arrived later than expected and found nobody at reception or in the bar. Everything was locked up. We called the phone number and it was answered by someone who we can only assume is the owner. This person was rightly confused by our arrival at such a late hour but promptly instructed us on how to enter the hotel and locate the key to our rooms. This was much-appreciated as the alternative would have been to sleep in our van!
We were staying in the apartment located around the corner from the main entrance to the hotel. It was newly refurbished and very clean with a kitchen, living room, hallway, and two en suite double bedrooms.
The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were beautiful with a monsoon showerhead and backlit mirror. Plenty of storage space in the bedrooms for clothing, though the rooms themselves were quite small.
Both bedrooms and the living room had a massive smart TV mounted on the wall. The TV in my room did have a vertical strip of dead pixels which was slightly annoying, but I'm sure it's easily fixed.
Breakfast in the hotel was continental, with a small selection of cured meats, cheeses, croissants, cereals, yogurts, and jams; as well as tea and coffee made to order. Everything was fresh and tasty, and well organised.
Kingston's has a great bar which includes an extensive selection of whiskey and cocktails. They also serve wood-fired pizza, which is very tasty and with great options, albeit a little pricey in comparison with other lunch/dinner spots in Killorglin.
If you're looking for a a more refined meal, there is an excellent restaurant only 2 mins walk from the hotel called 'The Bianconi', which has a beautiful menu that aspires to the level of fine dining found in cities such as Galway and Dublin. It's a favourite amongst locals and was almost full when we visited on a Thursday evening. Highly recommended.
Other than that, there are a multitude of food options, both in Killorglin, and the surrounding area including "Bunker's Bar and Restaurant" in Killorglin proper, and the 4 star Glenbeigh Hotel a mere 10-15 mins drive west.
Overall, Kingston's is an excellent base of operations for solo travellers and couples who wish to explore Killorglin, the Macgillicuddy Reeks, Rossbeigh, Killarney National Park, or even the Dingle peninsula. It's a place of comfort and tranquility nestled amongst some of the most beautiful natural scenery that Ireland has to offer.
In terms of improvements I would like to see, a more rounded offering of food at meal times would be desirable, and would almost certainly help to bring in more business during the off-season.

Il Vicoletto
Dublin
13/04/2025: The Manager was rude and dismissive. The tables were jammed together and the waiters kept bumping into our chairs. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and tense. The food was very average. Overall a very poor customer experience.

Rise at the cove
Greystones
09/04/2025: A bit awkward with the location (not their fault) being in a one way system and then parking at a premium (see 30 minutesish sign)
Could do with signage and also telling people parking here for the coffee shop
Super friendly and chatty girls, all quick to engage with customers and help
Plenty of options
Nice to visit but unfortunately an awkward location (probably better parking down the road and walking back up)
Plenty of outdoor seating options, the bucket seats very low so not ideal if not the most nimble
Prices at the higher end (probably in line with the area it's in)

06/04/2025: It was my first time there, but not the last. I absolutely love the place. Kind staff, clean place.

The Garden Room
Dublin
25/04/2025: Lovely experience here for an anniversary dinnner. Food and service were excellent and special mention to Timmy who served us.
25/04/2025: A freak experience that should not be used to judge this lovely restaurant and beautiful hotel. We’re staying here and love the hotel. But the dining room manager was ineffective at dealing with the horribly behaved family of thirty with wild children screaming throughout the space. Such a disaster for all other guests. All we wanted and requested was to be served in the bar or gorgeous lobbies. We were told NO, so instead of suffering we just left uneaten meals. Such a shame but why suffer through such an unpleasant experience? Management should have a preplanned scenario for dealing with such happenings.

Kali Coffee Bar
Galway
10/04/2025: What an atmosphere. And great coffee. Not just americano, but proper strong coffee. And small backyard... felt like home ;)
08/04/2025: My favorite coffee in all of Galway, followed them on Instagram had no idea that they were married which makes it even cuter- they give great vibes as soon as you walk in the door! Also in the bathroom they have period products, which I was stuck and very thankful for that- for the girls and anyone who loves a good coffee

Fetch Coffee
Clonmel
11/04/2025: One of the most gorgeous coffee spots I’ve ever been too, the atmosphere is divine, the staff are not only beautiful but the friendliest bubble crew. I had a coconut iced matcha and it was €2 cheaper any other place I’ve been to and one of the nicest I’ve had in a long while. The design, use of space and colour to create several seating areas, it’s a fantastic example of how small spaces can be used instead of being a tiny car park. Didn’t get any sweet treats but they looked incredible. 10/10 will be coming back
23/03/2025: Best cookies ever sound kev and rach
