The best restaurants

26/03/2025: A wonderful restaurant surrounded by the garden where the food is grown, I read another review saying it was messy, it is very much a working garden designed for produce rather than beauty. We loved Lignum, course after course of local produce the fish from Galway. We filled in the form at the time of booking about our allergies so were greeted with all the courses carefully considered to avoid gluten and Tree nuts. All cooked with respect to the ingredients over flames. Our two teenagers loved it and the challenge of eating foods they wouldn’t normally consider- but everything delicious and plates which kept arriving all finished off. Highly recommended, Will definitely be returning.

Our server Dympna was very kind and attentive💕 The breakfast menu had so many gorgeous options I found it hard to choose but went with the pancakes and was stunning! My first time in this cafe and definitely won’t be my last💖

16/03/2025: Whilst visiting Wexford with a friend who lives locally we called in to Trimmers Lane cafe for some food. it was absolutely lovely. I had the burger and my friend had the Buddha bowl. the food was absolutely lovely. really clean, fresh and healthy. the staff were super friendly too and couldn't do enough to help. and the cafe itself was lovely, well maintained and clean. I'd highly recommend TLC, If you're in the area.

26/04/2025: Absolutely fantastic. A regular spot for me & the family. Always so so tasty. Great atmosphere. Staff are outstanding. Friendly & efficient. Food is delicious. Pints of Guinness are top notch. Can only highly recommend.

25/04/2025: Splendida atmosfera. Servizio rapido e cordiale. Squisita la chowder soup e altrettanto buona l' insalata con caprino caldo, peperoni e pomodori. La Guinness.... beh quella era perfetta.

07/02/2025: Was here last night for my sons 18th birthday. Food was absolutely amazing, staff very attentive and can't fault them at all. We will definitely be back, especially for the bbq ribs!!!

23/02/2025: Amazing food and lovely staff! Always a great time when we visit! Dog friendly so our dogs really enjoyed their time with us having brunch! Amazing sausage rolls, delicious toast options and huge and tasty breakfast burritos! The coffees are lovely and made with patience too!!

31/03/2025: I visited Savoury Fair Athlone for the first time and it was an Absolute Pleasure to have my Breakfast in this Amazing Restaurant My usual place is The Poppy Fields but they had a fire in their kitchens so it’s out of order for the foreseeable….. The Savoury Fair Restaurant Food Wise and the different platters available is Excellent everything to suit everyone’s Palate and the Hygiene was 100% all round The Quality / Service and the Floor Staff were Absolutely Fantastic coming around asking if I wanted any more Breakfast / Top Up my Hot Strong Tea which I ordered or more Toast Their is Two Floors Ground and First Floor Fully Serviced by the Floor Staff The First Floor looks over the Entrance to the Cafe through an Atrium great idea The Crockery is So Quaint and Colourful ( pics attached ) This Restaurant has Everything Humanly Possible to Delight Everyone who enters the premises Keep Up the Fantastic Work Guys and Keep Doing what your Doing

27/02/2025: I like Savoury Fare in Fern Hill. Nice spot. Always busy. However, for a sandwich or light snack, it has become quite expensive with less value than many comparable restaurants. I certainly will go back but it's become a bit inconsistent in recent times.

18/04/2025: Atmosphere: Located down a back alley off the road. Not a busy area. There are quite of few inside tanked to eat at, more than other cafes in the area. There is also a large outdoor patio with lots of seating. Staff: Friendly but not very attentive. After taking our order we never had anyone follow up with us. Luckily our food was great. We wanted to order more food but after waiting too long we decided to pay our bill. The table next to us also had difficulty getting our servers attention. Pancakes: Good pancakes with fresh fruit. Eggs & Toast: The toast tastes fresh. We ordered our eggs scrambled. Good taste, nothing special. The parsley was a bit strong. French Toast: Tons of flavor. Tasted great. Not the largest portions so may be best to order a side dish. (I like my bacon burnt so ignore the bacon in the photo)

24/04/2025: Such a friendly, welcoming place. I had a great time! The fish and chips was delicious and the music was wonderful. My waiter Gabriel made it a fantastic visit.

21/04/2025: Great food and friendly staff. We visited as a family as it was next door to our hotel, initially went in for a drink but stayed for food. The food was between your typical pub food and bistro vibe and the place had a great atmosphere. Recommended for a casual meal, families welcomed.

30/03/2025: We used to come to this restaurant quite often as we love the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. But very disappointed of the service of the staff today. We understand it’s very busy on Sunday but the waitress took a long time to order the food, took more than 40 minutes to serve a cup of coffee, served the food wrong twice, the people who ordered later than us even got the food earlier than us. I feel our order got forgot and the waitress were disappearing. They even got tripped over the high chair of my baby twice which is really dangerous. The chair was almost falling down. We understand the chef is busy on cooking the food but it’s really poor service of the waitress. We ordered kimchi stew that we always ordered but there’s no tofu inside either. The staff didn’t even tell us that there’s no tofu the main thing inside. We were trying to feedback in the restaurant about the poor service. We don’t really need any refund just a sincerely apologize instead of lots of excuses. Really disappointed.
