The Hollow Bar & Seafood Restaurant
30/07/2026: Fabulous food and welcoming staff and dog friendly. Lots of outdoor seating and covered patio area that’s dog friendly.

The fish here is so fresh you can taste the salt from the sea.
We ordered Black Sole and received two on each plate, an abundance of vegetables and potatoes accompanied the dish.

26/06/2026: Came here through a tour group, we had dinner here but many who had the sea food chowder got severe food poisoning, probably a bad batch. When we brought it up to the hotel manager they said they wouldn't admit to food poisoning until we got tested for norovirus at a hospital. I don't trust this hotel with so little integrity. It's unfortunate because the town is wonderful, sadly many of us couldn't experience it.
24/05/2026: Upgraded to premium suite which was worth it. Only issue was the wifi. Possibly the worst I have ever encountered.
Even the TV was having issues...

02/06/2026: This is a truly local Irish pub. Great, eclectic decor. Very traditional and homey with lots of regulars coming in. Drinks only. Nice covered outdoor area, too. Absolutely worth stopping in for a pint!

26/07/2026: Perhaps one of the best restaurants in Tullamore, with a wide selection and friendly service. We had delicious meals for two evenings. Rarely have I had such well-prepared seafood tagliatelle; the next day, a rack of lamb (medium rare) that was finger-licking good. Highly recommended.

22/07/2026: Was visiting Dublin for the last week and just finished my third day in row getting McGuinness. It was some of the best vegan food I’ve had the pleasure of eating. I think the vegan kebab was my personal favorite, but spice bag and Philly cheesesteak were also fantastic. I’m already thinking about my next trip here just to get it again!

Louise was an amazing help through the entire planning process, answering all of our questions, no matter how silly. The staff, food, drinks, and atmosphere were all amazing! There is truly nothing I would've changed. We hope to come and visit again in the future! <3

Very small portion of chips served on the fish and chips .Thats ok till 3 other tables around you are served the same dish with double the size portion . Seems that kids portion of fries is what we got judging by the kid beside us.
Waiter just shrugged his shoulders and walked off . Would have expected better . Left still hungry.
Disappointing . Chef should have more consistency. Understand if busy but it wasn’t.
