The best restaurants

23/05/2026: Favorite restaurant experience in Galway. This place is tiny, so please make reservations. We were lucky to stumble upon Wa Sushi before an evening rush. There is only one low table, if sitting at counter height isn’t possible or comfortable, let the host know. The host/server was attentive and had great descriptions of the chef’s specials. The cocktails were delicious and beautiful. The presentation of all the food was lovely. This experience was intimate with a pleasant pacing for each course. The bar area gives a great vantage point to see the dishes being prepared and garnished. The oysters were transcendent: fresher and more flavorful than any others I’ve had. The tuna maki were generous in the ratio of marinated tuna to rice and seaweed. The salmon was tender and flaky in the best way. If you want the best sushi and raw oysters in Galway, you need to visit Wa Sushi

22/05/2026: I've eaten my share of oysters, but WA raised the bar into the stratosphere. Yes, it's a pricier place. Yes, the portions are on the lean side. Put that aside and savor the craftsmanship of a master Itamae.

08/03/2026: First time there yesterday. Have always passed it over the years and always wanted to go in for a pint. Walked in yesterday. Sound barman served us Fantastic Guinness. It's a beautiful pub. Had a nice stroll around it as it wasn't busy in the afternoon. Will definitely return.

02/02/2026: Classy pub, with the traditional storefront, hardware and perfume bottles that used to be for sale. "Just going to the hardware store to buy a couple of nails and an Eau de Cologne", that old tradition. Heineken 0.0 on tap, that's pretty rare, and cool.

07/12/2025: It was my dad's 68th birthday yesterday, and we had lunch here. The welcome we received and how nice the staff were really made my dad's day, and mine. The waiting staff also brought out a cake and sang happy birthday, which they did by themselves without request. Amazing, thank you so much to the happy cup team 😀 (the food was great too)

23/11/2025: We absolutely love this café! The coffee is excellent, the pastries are absolutely delicious, and the staff is warm and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure to stop by and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

15/06/2026: Celebrated our 10 year anniversary this week. Lovely spot outside, great and friendly staff and the food is to die for.

12/06/2026: Had lunch and the food was excellent. The place was very busy for a Saturday so it necessary to book in advance.

04/06/2026: This hotel far exceeded our expectations for comfort, food and service. Free on site parking is always a bonus as well. The restaurant offers really great food and beverages too. Our only issue was rowdy children whose parents let run wild despite the best efforts of staff. The breakfast selection next morning was great and the pool and garden area too. All in all a hotel worthy of a higher star 🌟 rating. Great value for money

01/06/2026: Beautiful hotel with amazing facilities. We were welcomed at the reception by Ivan who was extremely friendly and helpful. The price also includes a swimming pool, sauna and hot tubs, so it only added to the beautiful experience. We were extremely satisfied and we will definitely come back again.👍🏻

21/05/2026: Staff were very very nice. It makes a huge difference when I am writing a review. Especially as I was just passing through Enniscorthy. We found this spot. Great parking , Food was brought out quickly and absolutely fab 👌 highly recommend

16/05/2026: This is a wonderful hotel in a quiet picturesque location s minutes drive from Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. The main building dates from the 1840s and was the priory (I believe) for the beautiful church across the road. We stayed 2 nights in a spacious and spotless room in the new wing behind the main building. The superb staff was extremely professional and attentive - perhaps the best I've ever experienced.

04/05/2026: Brought my parents and wife here today and this was a 5/5 start to finish. Everyone loved their own dish and the Baked Alaska was to due for at the end. Definitely will return again.

24/04/2026: We booked the clermont for a rehearsal lunch before a wedding. Aaron took great care of us, was super easy to work with and helped with any wishes we had throughout the process. The food was excellent. The portions were large and the quality was superb. The atmosphere was beautiful, we were sitting by the greenery in the classroom. Overall a 5/5 experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to dine, celebrate or hang out.

13/09/2025: The food at the restaurant (and the hotel in general) saved the weekend at this place. Service at the hotel lacks attention to details but certain staff members managed to save the night. Food was really good.

02/09/2025: My experience was like, are we on planet Earth or in another dimension? Everything was so perfect. I loved the bar outside the hotel by the river, which was mesmerizing. I drank two Guinness beers, which is my favorite despite being in Cork, and they're loyal to Murphy's here. The staff are always on top of things, and you're treated like royalty. I highly recommend this hotel, and especially this bar, because it stands out from all the other hotels. All the best for your future.

04/01/2026: We ordered two burgers and some fries to share. The fries were tasty but a bit spicy and hot. We ordered the ones with lettuce, pickles, and veggie patty, but there was very little meat, hardly any at all. I quite liked my "chicken" burger, except for the buffalo sauce, which was incredibly hot. I had to remove one of the bun halves because I can't handle spice and I didn't like it at all. I asked the waiter to add a slice of cheese to my burger because none of the "chicken" burgers include cheese. The other burger was a double "meat" smash, very tasty but nothing special compared to others we've tried. Overall, we liked the place and the food was good, that's undeniable, but we've had better veggie options. Even so, we liked it and would go back, but we'd try other choices. What we liked least was that it was very cold inside, and also that the burger didn't come with its own fries.

03/01/2026: food was incredibely good and so many choices! meat alternatives were authentic. but the restaurant door couldn't fully close so it was cold inside

28/03/2026: Great pub in a prime location. Besides delicious Guinness, it's also perfect for watching sporting events like rugby on a big screen.

01/04/2026: This place is perfect, the staff are slay friendly. They do a beautiful hot choc with marshmallows .

16/05/2026: Nice spot for watching sports. Can get quite busy so come early if you want to sit. Food is decent pub grub at OK prices, drinks are grand, too.
