The best restaurants

12/09/2026: From the time when part of my meal was served it took over 40 minutes to get my coffee and after 1 hour and 20 minutes was still not served my egg..it was all ordered at the same time..I paid the bill and left with never receiving my egg

10/09/2026: This place is absolutely amazing! I’m usually not a fan of potatoes, but the potato cakes here completely exceeded my expectations. I could even say it is the best potato dish I’ve ever tried. My boyfriend and I ordered one of each flavour of potato cake and a pot of tea for two. The potato cakes themselves were very soft inside,I especially recommend the bacon one! What I liked the most was the cranberry sauce on the side ,which was refreshing and tangy; We also ordered extra mushrooms and a fried egg, it’s absolutely a cherry on top! As for the tea, there wasn’t big difference from any other place, but the tea pot had a delicate tea cosy that made you want to take a picture of it. The decorations inside were adorable with loads of characters, giving it a heartwarming atmosphere. Despite its limited space, it doesn’t discourage people from dining here. Staff were friendly as well- It was a bit busy during the brunch, so we had to wait for a bit. However, once we asked to order, one of the staff members came to us immediately. All in all, I would strongly encourage you not to miss this lovely place, whether you like potatoes or not, you should give it a try!

30/08/2026: The flat white is milky for my taste. This reduces the possibility to taste the coffee beans notes. In addition, even if you ask for a not too hot one, it is still hot. I learnt that in Ireland not to hot is not drinkable still, so if you want a ready to drink coffee ask for a warm flat white ☺️

17/08/2026: This is a fantastic place to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Greeted on arrival in the car park. All very friendly and relaxed. Mary is a great guide. The pigs were a laugh - total characters. They’re gentle as well and my seven year old daughter was big enough to walk Emilia the adult pig. The other animals are well worth a look too - especially the sheep. Whole experience was a highlight of the Summer.

10/09/2026: We had this place in our list when visiting Dublin and it didn't disappoint. They offer a wide range of options for breakfast, lunch or a coffee break. We went there for lunch today and tried the avo toast and chicken sandwich, and they were both fabulous. We also had dessert (brownie) with coffee and loved it. A part from food we found the staff incredibly friendly and nice, specially with our baby. We 100% recommend it!

03/09/2026: Had filter coffee, overnight oats and granola. All delicious, probably the best I've had of any of them anywhere.

08/09/2026: Stopped for lunch before boarding the ferry. Lovely lunch food excellent as always staff super friendly. Highly recommend.

14/09/2026: The house is not all that exciting and the walk through lasted five minutes. The grounds are very nice with walking trails and water views. Be warned that road in is an Irish local road and you have to be very careful

15/09/2026: My husband and I enjoyed an early weekend dinner here last weekend. The food was delicious, perfect flavours, presentation was lovely and the service was fast, friendly and professional. We will be very happy to return here. The chilli chicken starter was especially good!! Reasonably priced for the quality of the food too and it was lovely to people watch from the high window on Bray main street.

10/08/2026: Very popular restaurant, located in a quieter part of Cork in the shadow of Fort Elizabeth. And though it was busy and we were a party of 8, they still managed to find room for us. The cooked breakfasts were top quality, and one of our party opted for the ricotta pancakes which he said were delicious. Good coffe, faultless service, highly recommended and the views from the Fort (which is free) is also well worth a look.

08/08/2026: As a person of colour who has lived in Ireland for many years, I never expected to experience what felt like discriminatory treatment at a restaurant that received a McKenna award in 2026. When we arrived for our reservation, we were asked to wait, despite there being 4–5 staff members who appeared to be available. We stood there for a couple of minutes before being seated. The experience continued once we were at the table. It took quite some time for a server to come over to take our order. I noticed staff members walking past our table several times without making eye contact or acknowledging us, which left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. To make matters worse, we then had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. The overall service felt unnecessarily slow and inattentive. I ordered a rosti, which I understood to be shredded potatoes formed into a cake or patty and fried. However, what I received was essentially a plate of fried potato pieces, which was not what I expected from a rosti. The one positive aspect of the experience was the decor, which was lovely. Unfortunately, the service and food did not live up to expectations. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not return.

17/09/2026: Five star to the restaurant and Maria Velasco .Great food , chicken wings were very special. Five stars for the food and Maria Velasco, she was so welcoming , attentive and made our experience special. Her service was exceptional and she made sure you we had everything we needed throughout our visit. If you are visiting Dublin, check it out and don’t missed this !

31/08/2026: Delicious, unrushed service. The food was very tasty and flavourful. Flexible booking times and just lovely bathrooms. The charming young man charged all 3 of our phones today, on Monday :)
