The best restaurants

22/03/2026: Came here, after years of meaning to, had the tastiest lasagne I have ever had. My wife's pasta was the best she had in years. We also had the profiteroles which my wife said was her favourite she ever had. Service was swift and friendly and the restaurant was beautifully laid out. My only regret is I waited so long to vist, but I will certainly be back again. Food didn't last long enough for pictures to be taken.

22/03/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic dining experience! The service at Wine House is incredibly professional and welcoming, making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I especially loved their pasta—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It's a perfect place for gatherings with friends, with a wonderful atmosphere for both dining and conversation. Highly recommended!

29/03/2026: Having grown up in an Irish household where everything is très très bien cuiller, I was a little hesitant when I saw this steak option on the menu was medium rare, but it was absolutely delicious. The entire dining experience was wonderful , great atmosphere, lovely helpful staff. We also were not rushed out the door, which was greatly appreciated, we were able to relax and have dessert and an extra drink at our leisure. We will be back soon.

22/02/2026: Very disappointed overall.Took my son for a special occasion.Very loud on arrival from people at bar counter asked to move but staff member said the group were leaving ( which they did ) .We ordered 2 starters both small ,tasty enough. .However it was the 2 main courses that were so disappointing I ordered the hake ,brocolini and mash and my son ordered the featherblade of beef ,both portions were small ,the broccoli was 2 pieces of tenderstem.My sons beef was small he was starving after it. .With one non alcoholic wine meal came to 92 euro ..I dont mind paying for something if Its filling and good value but we both left hungry .My son went home for a bowl of cereal.Overall very disappointing experience.Wish I had seen previous persons review ( Sarah ) bfore I booked.We had similar experiences.

Clare — from start to finish, everything was just perfect ✨ The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views that make it the ideal escape. The food was gorgeous — every meal felt like a treat — and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was so relaxing and welcoming. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond, but a special mention has to go to Rong Rong at reception, who truly looked after us and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, ye are so lucky to have her to meet and greet your guests And Sean at breakfast kept everything running so smoothly — the buffet was fantastic and the service was spot on. It’s the little touches and genuine kindness that make a place unforgettable, and this hotel has it in abundance. 18/04/2026: Walked into the restaurant and instantly smiled the chef/owner greeted us and took the time to talk to us about the menu..food was amazing and even the local customers were amazingly friendly ..

19/03/2026: Ordered take away wrap & coffee, the wrap was super fresh, full with amazing chicken & stuffing. Coffee always good and brought out to me while I waited in glorious sunshine.

16/03/2026: Incredibly loud place Breakfast very disappointing, the potatoes were undercooked and the sausages tasted and looked like the cheapest supermarket variety, the mushrooms were minging, the bacon edible but the white pudding and toast were grand mind Really don't understand the queues

07/05/2026: We were self catering about 6km from this restaurant and treated ourselves one of our final nights. We had had a filling chowder in Lehinch earlier in the day and an ice cream to follow so ordered main courses only. Staff were welcoming and friendly despite no reservation: a true Clare welcome to my Mum in her late 70s, myself and my two children aged 5 and 7 respectively. There was a kids menu and my children ordered the homemade burgers which were definitely homemade and fab. There were no prices on the kids menu and as driver of our trip, I was treated as were the kids to our meal so I'm not sure of the price of the kids burgers. For mains, my Mum and I had the Hake dish at €26 each. Intermittently, my Mum muttered 'I'm in heaven' and 'wow' whilst eating hers. It was delicious: a rich, filling, cooked perfectly but fancy dish which we both thoroughly savoured. We had water, Miwadi and a glass of milk to wash it down. Worth the price. Definitely recommended if staying locally or passing by. Hats off to the Polish chef.

05/05/2026: We got a lovely fish chips last Sunday, everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

07/11/2025: Situated in the center on the corner of North Main Street this bar is a nice upmarket establishment with a cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the drinks cold and the toilets spotless.

05/11/2025: Great service, very attentive. The double fried fries were great, however the smaller ones were hard to chew. Ribs spot on. Can be a bit dark in certain areas

31/03/2026: 2 night stay, staff can't do enough for you. All of them. Food is excellent. Room is spacious and very clean. Location is perfect. Good information book on what is around. They look after all ur needs. 100% recommend.

16/03/2026: Lovely hotel. Close enough to the center, but nice and quiet. Beautiful, spacious rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast, tasty dinner, and a cozy atmosphere in the pub.
