26/09/2026: This was a neat stop to take for the day. The people working here were amazing they helped with any question you had and the blacksmith that was on shift was funny and very informative about the trade.

24/09/2026: The castle is in good condition. The Skanzen is very cool. It's a nice walk.

15/09/2026: It was lunch time (Sunday) not a great menu server's were attentive NO Guinness 00 also very little to choose from beverage the cocktail's went down well with the ladies.

02/09/2026: An app I use found this place and counts calories from a photo of my plate. This lamb shank had plenty of protein and fit my daily limit well. The room was nice and we got a table without booking.

15/09/2026: The food was great, worth the price. The owner was the one that came over and took our order, she was helpful, funny and entertaining, and loves Elvis!

15/09/2026: The restaurant owner, Priscilla, was our server. She is a delight. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is friendly. Will come again.

10/08/2026: Sausage was “exceptional”, guacamole was extremely good. Scone was fresh and tasty. Lattes were good.

18/08/2026: Definitely my favourite pub in all of Galway, staff go above and beyond and are always so lovely! Food is always incredible and service is quick. They cater for gluten free and vegan, and as a celiac they are so reassuring and attentive! Honestly can’t recommend enough :))

22/08/2026: I’ve been to Jakes for breakfast quite a few times and I’m always happy to go for their fry-up, which is consistently good. On my most recent visit, though, I decided to try something different because of their summer breakfast specials. I’m not usually a huge fan of avocado and eggs on toast, but for €10 including tea or coffee, I thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did because this was by far the tastiest version of avocado and eggs on toast I’ve had so far! The combination of the creamy avocado, eggs, feta and roasted tomatoes was absolutely delicious, and it was really nicely presented too. It’s not something I would normally choose, but I would 100% order this again. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good-value breakfast in Bandon.

24/07/2026: Perfect place for the family if you are hungry and just want a good filling meal with a desert fresh from the bakery. I highly recommend the salmon carbonara it's delicious the best I've ever tasted. Great staff good atmosphere a mixture of locals and tourists. Good value for money great menu. I highly recommend this place even if you just want a coffee.

04/08/2026: Excellent restaurant! We enjoyed delicious fish and chips with a Glendalough gin cocktail and a superb brownie for dessert. Avinash provided quick and friendly service. Thank you so much, we will gladly return.

28/08/2026: If you’re looking for the best fish and chips in all of Ireland, this is the place to go

22/08/2026: We ordered the cod and chips and the Korean-style tenders. The cod was very decent, but the batter stood out more than the fish itself. What I remember most is the crispy, almost crisp-like batter. I was almost finished with my meal when a couple next to us got their fish and chips, and that’s when I realised mine was missing a wedge of lemon (or lime, as it says on the menu). As for the tenders, I’m not Korean, but what exactly makes these tenders “Korean-style”?. They tasted like regular chicken goujons with a sprinkle of sesame seeds, dried scallions, and thinly sliced bell pepper. If the two sauces served in one container on the side—spicy BBQ and garlic aioli—are what make the dish Korean-style, then I might have to redefine what “Korean-style” means to me.

21/06/2026: The first time we stayed at this hotel, the room was big and spacious. That's what we were expecting on our return. But we ended up with an end of the hall room, very small, the bed was against the wall, I could hardly get in after climbing over my husband. If they had told us the first visit that we had an upgrade, we we would not have been so disappointed. We came in late, due to our tour and were too tired to go down and try for another room. They said it was a queen deluxe but felt like a regular double. The room was clean and the staff very nice

19/06/2026: Very good hotel. The only complaint is our room was a bit small for 2 people with large suitcases and the flooring is sticky. The staff were excellent. Special thanks to doormen Guillermo and Helmut. They went above and beyond to be helpful. We would definitely recommend it to any visitors to Dublin. Safe and walkable to all downtown amenities.

21/08/2026: The people were very nice in this quaint corner restaurant. We required a “booking” but they let us sit since it was still early (5pm). That was truly gracious. In fact the place came highly recommended from other travelers. My main concern was the tasteless dishes. Both our dish had no seasonings, hence no flavor . No amount of salt or pepper could make it taste good. Sauce is the key (for me) of any pasta sauce. They saw I did not eat my dish and all they could say was Sorry 😞. I would not recommend this place to anyone who like delicious food.

21/08/2026: Such a lovely and cosy Italian restaurant. It’s small, but you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in. They open at 12, and by 12:15 the place was already almost full, which says a lot. We stopped here because we had been travelling around Ireland for several days and fancied something different. Honestly, if this restaurant were in my hometown, I would come back very often. The owners are Italian (we could hear them speaking Italian), and the pasta was some of the best we’ve had on our trip. Fresh, really tasty and clearly good quality. They also serve the pasta with bread, which was a lovely touch. A great little place if you’re looking for authentic Italian food.

11/09/2026: A local recommended us and it didn't disappoint. We had spare time before our flight and walked the grounds (for free), appreciated the private/intimate space and especially loved the contemplation garden. We didn't go to the cafe/restaurant but you can see the reviews for that place I'm sure speak to its value. If I lived in Cork I'd also be recommending people to go there.

09/09/2026: lots of history about the church, convent and local history
