10/06/2026: The service was excellent and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Drinks are very fairly priced, which is a rare find in Dublin. We loved the traditional Irish music—it is absolutely perfect for tourists looking for an authentic vibe. Highly recommend! 10/10

14/07/2026: We were very lucky to get a table the evening of a concert in Limerick. We stumbled on this place, and it will be forever seared in my memory as the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life. I have had a lot of fried fish in the United States, and some of it has been pretty darn good, but this was outstanding! Flaky fish and the batter was perfectly crisp and seasoned with something very, very pleasing! The dessert... oh my wow! if I recall I think it was apple pie or apple crisp... fresh whipped cream!

14/07/2026: A very good experience! The portions were very generous and the choices were interesting. The waitress who took care of us was lovely! A big thank you for her kindness. The atmosphere was calm because we arrived late in the evening.

07/08/2026: Ordered a few different loose leaf teas from WALL & KEOGH Superior Teas and everything arrived well packed and sooner than I expected. The quality was excellent, and you could tell the tea was fresh. I also reached out with a question before ordering and got a friendly, helpful reply the same day. Prices aren't the cheapest, but for the quality I think it's well worth it.

05/08/2026: The workers today tried to scam me. The woman working today overcharged me by a large amount. I asked for the receipt as I was not offered it, and the woman looked really annoyed and reluctant to, and gave me the card payment receipt instead. I had to ask again for the actual receipt, and then she gave me a receipt that did not seem to match what i'd purchased. I was confused so I went to stand just outside the door (small shop) to look at it and realised I'd paid way more than I should have, so I went back inside. Upon seeing me come back inside, the guy quickly feigned surprise and said 'ooo she accidentally overcharged you by 17 euros!' and quickly gave me cash (I paid by card...) and some unwanted leftover tea they had. If they realised already that I was overcharged, why did nobody quickly come outside to get me? Especially as I was standing right by the door. Why was the woman so reluctant to give me my receipt? Edit: sigh i didn't want to have to dignify their embarrassing review with a reply, but they're claiming 100g of tea cost 34eur then (since they overcharged me 17eur), but the most expensive tea they sell is 19.99/100g (and a matcha at 28.99/100g) so none of what they said even makes any sense.

28/07/2026: Very friendly and quick service – a glance was all it took! The restaurant is small, so reservations are absolutely necessary (well in advance). Now for the food: the vitello tonnato was simply perfect, as were the meatballs. The daily pasta dish was simply perfect. You can tell how much finesse goes into the dishes (the restaurant is popular for a reason). The pasta dishes with shrimp and ragu were also good, but didn't quite reach the level of the daily special. There's a large selection of wines, although we missed having a few non-alcoholic options. The focaccia and sourdough bread were unfortunately only average, and I would have liked the ladyfingers in the tiramisu to have been soaked in a stronger espresso and some pistachios sprinkled over the top. That would have perfected the tiramisu, as the cream had the perfect sweetness. Overall, the restaurant is definitely recommended.

26/07/2026: Tried to come here - they told us 20 minutes for an inside table. We sat outside and again said to our waiter we just want to confirm inside in 20 minutes. He said he would confirm. It then started raining so we went inside and asked again about a table in 20 minutes. They said that was and never would have been possible and got defensive/made excuses that they had never said that. I’m 7 months pregnant and we would not have sat outside and wasted time had we known that was the case. We would have gone somewhere else. We understand you can’t always get in as a walk in but clarity would have helped here so we could have gone somewhere else before things closed.

04/07/2026: This place deserves a Michelin star! We met the trailor twice in Wexford and really really liked the food. So we travelled to Waterford this weekend just to see the real place! It's amazing. Love the place, the design and the food. Highly recommend!

01/07/2026: Unfortunately I was not impressed. The service was good, but the meal was very bland. The sauce in the Pasta Arribiatt seemed like the canned stuff you get in the supermarket. Dining/grabbing a bite to eat in a tent is not what I was planning. Not good.

06/07/2026: Met at the door by a rude lady with a top knot held in with a claw clip. We waited for a seat and she met us with a rude tone and face then said follow me and went up these steps. We had a buggy with our baby in it so I was unsure if we were meant to follow her or not. At this stage I’m upset and kind of want to leave but we drove all the way in to come so we stayed. All of the other servers are lovely and friendly they made sure everything was ok. Food was nice. I like that they have a juice and water station you can just help yourself. Just upsetting with that one lady who just ruined the rest of our time there to be honest, felt unwelcome with my baby.

12/06/2026: When we first entered the room, we were welcomed by a fish smell because the window was broken and the fumes from the kitchen were directly entering. We tried watching tv and couldn't because nearly all the channels were locked with a pin code that not even the manager knew. The water in the sink wouldn't drain. We tried to shower before bed but the hot water was shut off without prior notice. During the night, we were unable to sleep because all you could hear were the sounds of the pipes in the building that sounded exactly like a ship's horn going off every 10 minutes. We were left there wide awake to stare at the huge water damage stains in the ceiling. My partner suffers from epilepsy and sleep is more important for him than for the average person. At the price of 207€ for a night we at the very least expected to get a decent night's rest and that was not the case. We spoke to the manager and he told us he couldn't issue us a full refund. Only 20€. He said it wasn't within his power and that we'd have to go through Booking.com for a refund. Surprise surprise, it turns out he simply does not want to refund more than half. Very deceitful. This is place is more of a hostel.

10/06/2026: Recently had a two night stay here celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, top marks all round, lovely hotel, exceptional staff from Louise on reception to Olya in the restaurant and Paul the owner, all so friendly and helpful, great location, will definitely return and would highly recommend. 22/07/2026: We went on our Date night too see what the two courses for €30 special would be like but there was nothing on the options that tickeled our fancy. However we were pleasantly surprised to find a steak on the stone special at €30 per person and we decided to run with that. The steak was absolutely delicious and was served with house chunky chips and mushroom and pepper sauce. It was served on a massive platter plate and was the best steak we have had in a long time. The staff were all really friendly and knew the menu inside out. We had Chicken wings to start whick were massive and a shared chocolate Fondant for dessert. The place was very busy for a Tuesday night and this gives an indication of how lovely overall the atmosphere is. And as Arnie says..Ill be back.

17/07/2026: We came hear on wednesday to the bar/restaurant and choose to sit outside the place was lively as probably for the weather the staff were very nice checked in a good amount of times and were very helpful when choosing food and drinks I had the calamari to start and it was a very good portion if I do say so and then I had the mussels wich I usually never go for the mussels as alot of places have let me down but theese were fresh and the amount of them was amazing me and my husband had a good few each I couldn't recommend this place enough I would 100% come again
