The best restaurants

03/04/2025: Ate here on the way back from Dublin. Lovely chicken goujons and mash and gravy. They were a bit spicy. I loved them but might be a bit peppery for kids. Lovely staff. Spotless clean. If passing again I will definitely stop another time and try something a bit more adventurous.

30/03/2025: Friend and I not seen each other for couple of years so treated ourselves, busy Saturday night, hard to hear self, but such a good atmosphere. Looked after by all the staff, Andy attentive. For what we had, thought the food and wines were overpriced, tasty, and well presented. Wonderful experience overall.

02/04/2025: An excellent restaurant for a quick refreshment. We came here for a speedy lunch after our flight, and it did not disappoint. The pizza, risotto, and Caesar salad were great, and the prices are affordable.

02/04/2025: The worst place I have ever been. Not recommended. Very dirty and the middle age man who is working there is very unprofessional. He was very rude to the staff and he was yelling at them. So disappointed with this place. If I could I would give it to 0 star

20/04/2025: I got the pancakes and they were very nice. Everything was fresh and the atmosphere was super nice and inviting. It was nice and clean inside, and the customer service was really good too. Definitely will be back for something different next time, 5⭐️

30/03/2025: Can’t understand the ratings here, we were at a table that was clearly a makeshift table and not part of the restaurant. The waitress didn’t take a drink order and seemed put out that we asked for one. Our food arrived after 3 minutes with cold veg and our drinks arrived after 25 minutes. We left as soon as we could service and food leaves a lot to be desired.

17/04/2025: Absolutely brilliant local pub with a great atmosphere and loads going on, not to mention it's dog friendly. But the thing that really makes it stand out is the exceptional service, the staff and bar manager here always go out of their way to make sure you're set up - even when it's rammed during the Wednesday quiz!

13/04/2025: Went here recently here with a few friends, food was unbelievable, we had pizza and pasta. All the food is so fresh, pizzas were unreal, chips were proper chips, not frozen stuff you get in other places. Staff are lovely, food gorgeous. Would highly recommend to anyone passing. I will be back.

21/03/2025: The experience had its ups and downs, not quite as impressive as its Michelin-star days in 2018, but still had some good points. The seating felt awkward if you were facing inward: leaning back made eating uncomfortable, and leaning forward felt unnatural. It might work better for a casual conversation, though. I tried the duck breast, which was cooked well and tasted good, but the dish lacked variety in textures. The arancini, with its soft filling and four different sauces, ended up feeling a bit soggy. It tasted fine but could have used something crisp to balance it out. The service wasn’t perfect, our wine glasses and water bottle were left empty for too long, but the staff were polite and helpful when they were around. We were seated at a table for four without asking, which was fine until we were asked to move mid-meal. It wasn’t a huge deal but made me question why we were seated there in the first place. There wasn’t a wine sommelier, which was disappointing for a restaurant with such a strong reputation. However, the wine list itself was decent. Overall, it’s a good place with potential, but it doesn’t quite live up to the standards of its Michelin-starred past.

12/03/2025: We had a lovely evening at the Camden Kitchen. There is a wonderfully warm ambiance and the restaurant was physically also very cosy on a cold night. We had a mixture of the set menu and the a la carte. The former is great value. All dishes were delicious, we had cod, beef cheek, duck and the veg option. Would highly recommend.

28/03/2025: Excellent burgers in an unconventional place! Only the Christmas tablecloth is a little outdated at the end of March.

31/03/2025: Stopped in during my trip to Dublin. The chocolate & hazelnut bun was amazing, and liked the iced mocha as well! The staff were also super friendly. :) Definetly recommend stopping in, or picking up some pastries for takeaway!

01/04/2025: Don't miss this! Fab food.. I had the fish tacos, so good! Even the chips were especially good, fresh and crispy! And I loved the picked veg as a side. Our kids were more than happy with their food as well. Service was brilliant considering they were very busy. If you end up in the queue , don't worry, it moves very fast. There's also the option of eating outside... Overlooking a gorgeous West Cork beach.
