06/09/2026: We love going to Ely for breakfast, drinks and food, so it was really disappointing to witness the service yesterday. An elderly couple sitting outside were being looked after so kindly by Michelle — she turned on the heater and made sure they were comfortable. Erik then came out, turned the heater off, and when we asked for it to be turned back on because the couple were freezing, he refused and said, “Can’t you see I’ve just turned it off?” We explained again that they were cold and just needed a few minutes of heat, but he dismissed it, said “It’s not that cold, they shouldn’t be cold,” and walked away. He never returned, even after 25 minutes. His mannerisms and attitude towards the elderly couple were genuinely shocking. It felt rude, dismissive, and completely at odds with the warm service we’re used to at Ely. It’s a shame, because we really do love the place — but this experience left us very disappointed.

25/08/2026: The wine and bites deals food components didn't appeal, but the standard menu eas great and thr wine list put of this World. Wr went simple as had a big day the next day, but I would definitely go back again

24/08/2026: An old windmill with a guided tour. Then you can relax in the cafe or visit gift shop. All the pitches are currently being redeveloped. Great place to visit.

24/08/2026: Great tour today from Alex, saw so many interesting parts of the mill history. We enjoyed discussing local history with Alex, and had a delicious lunch in the cafe afterwards!

16/08/2026: This was our third time here, and my boyfriend brought me back for my birthday. It's quickly becoming one of our favourite places. We started with the oysters and a lovely bottle of red wine, followed by the Chateaubriand, which we've now ordered on all three visits. Once again, it was absolutely exceptional. We always order it medium rare, and the consistency is incredible – perfectly cooked, beautifully pink throughout and exactly the same high standard every single time. What made this visit even more special was that the chef, Tadhg, remembered us from our previous visits and sent out a little dish for us while we waited for our steak. Such a lovely touch. The staff were fantastic too, extremely attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. For dessert, I was actually planning on ordering the rhubarb and white chocolate cheesecake, only for them to surprise me with it for my birthday. We finished with a double espresso each, and it was a perfect end to the night. Sitting downstairs where you can watch the chefs cooking adds so much to the experience. We met Tadhg on the way out and were delighted to tell him personally just how exceptional his cooking is. Three visits, three amazing Chateaubriands. Hats off to Tadhg and the whole team. We'll definitely be back again.

09/08/2026: Went for a birthday dinner. We have the lamb rump and tomahawk as mains. Very disappointed with the quality of the meat and the very high price. The menu on the website is different than the menu at the restaurant. The meat was chewy, with a lot of tendons. The creamed spinach as a side was full of sauce, more like a soup then cream. The margarita was the most terrible cocktail in Dublin. They have the worst steak knives that could not cut through steaks at all. We were the first to arrive on the second floor and the music was so loud until the second table of guests arrived. The waiters did not come to the table and ask for our opinions. There was no such thing as service for the night. I did mention it was a birthday dinner when making the reservation but there was no acknowledgement at all. Very disappointed overall and would not recommend.

05/04/2026: My go to pizza place it is amazing . I love the garlic bread from there as they use fresh melted garlic and it’s delicious. The ingredients look and taste high quality. Would recommend

19/07/2026: Garden centre is fabulous, food is so good you will want more, staff are always very pleasant and helpful

15/07/2026: As a family we love a ramble around, it's a lovely afternoon visit for all the family. We all love to pick out flowers and accessories for our garden, then pop in for a coffee and bun while the kids have a run round in the playground and maze. We love checking out all the newest garden furniture and ornaments in the store itself, and the kids love picking out new books. So much in this establishment.

22/08/2026: Avoid 'Chowder' it's a potatoe chowder. Loads Halved Potatoes and green beans floating in cream. Two pieces of Fish. Dearest I've ever paid at €13.50.

15/08/2026: The brioche French toast 😳 To. Die. For. Highlight sweet breakfast of the decade for me.

30/08/2026: Lovely selection of pastries and treats. This place can get very busy so expect long queues at times. Good coffee too.

02/09/2026: I’ve been to Sprout several times to eat, and I can honestly say that, besides the food, which I absolutely love, there’s such a lovely vibe among the whole team that makes the place feel really welcoming and cozy. I’d especially like to highlight Paola, who has always treated me so kindly and greeted me with a big smile every time she has served me. Her warmth and friendliness really make a difference. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat!

14/07/2026: A cozy whiskey bar with a wide selection, good advice if desired, and a pleasant atmosphere.

05/07/2026: Amazing bar with the nicest owners. No Tv so people could talk with each other. Excellent whiskey. You must go to the bar if you stop in the nice little village.
