The best restaurants

29/07/2026: Our visit to the farm was fantastic. Really enjoyed seeing how the border collie wrangled the sheep. But the highlight was definitely meeting the people - such authentic, humble and just friendly folks!

24/07/2026: We visited the Glen Keen Farm this past week. The experience was one of our favorites while visiting Ireland. The demonstration of sheep herding and history of local families’ coordination and support was impressive. Lunch was amazing with a lovely atmosphere of music and singing. The hospitality was top notch. Loved the shop items as well. Thank for sharing!

11/07/2026: The avocado toast is no joke. David and Mikel also ate here and liked the food. Really missing João right now.

11/07/2026: Orange juice isn’t from the fruit and it is sold as if it was. The bread is not fresh.

18/07/2026: Chips were so hard and greasy from obviously being cooked in dirty oil. Service was very slow. Servers were very friendly and nice.In spite of asking for dairy free and being assured we could have it,we got gravy all over the dinner!!! Definitely will not be back.

14/06/2026: Delicious, heartily-filled sandwiches, made with really high quality ingredients. Their blondies are also amazing when they crop up. Can't fault anything I've eaten from here over the past few years. Caen is also a winner.

10/06/2026: Amazing seasonal menu. Food was top notch and very taste. I really liked the combination of the beetroot and pickled plum and the roasted colliflowed had a nice subtle heat, great quality olives as well. Will be back to get there soup and sandwich next time. The vegetarian sounds amazing. Really prices for the portion and quality. Lovely little sweet treats too. Had mini doughnuts. And other bits and bobs. Coffee prices here €4 and you had to charge for alternative milk on top of that a bit steep for me didn’t get a coffee.

17/05/2026: We stopped for a coffee, it was ok i think the milk was burnt but the place was quaint and authentic , the fire was lighting everything was home made it was worth a visit.

17/06/2026: The best part of Dromhall was its location. Right opposite a centra and a gas station, very good for road trip. Rooms were great and very spacious. They also provided a plug in fan which we greatly appreciated since it was summer.

15/07/2026: Duck spring rolls were served in dirty and dusty plate with awful dry vegetables Tiny and dirty bathroom Cheap but unpleasant place Not bad food but please clean the bathroom and dishes

12/07/2026: we were really excited to come here but unfortunately we had to wait for 1.5 HOURS for our food. By the time our food was finally ready everyone was so annoyed and hungry that no one was able to enjoy it and our entire evening was basically ruined.

02/06/2026: We ended up here by chance. The tea room was full, but we received a super friendly welcome and got a table after only a short wait. (Grab the table! 😃) The sandwich was delicious, and they served it directly onto two plates since we wanted to share it. Super friendly and cozy.

18/07/2026: We tried the creamy pasta with added chicken and the chicken with potatoes. The pasta was ok, but the chicken was very bland and lacked seasoning. The chicken with potatoes was okay, just nothing particularly memorable. The service was friendly, but the restrooms could definitely use more attention. Overall, an average meal with room for improvement.

08/07/2026: Ellies is a great place to dine with kids. And has great food. Nice and localized place to eat if you're heading up to Galway.

18/07/2026: Amazing place, great views and friendly service. The fisherman's platter was delicious and paired with a perfect wine!

16/07/2026: A highly recommended spot on our Wild Atlantic Way trip. We went there for lunch and had lobster with garlic bread and pasta with smoked salmon. It was delicious. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

31/07/2026: A fantastic place to grab some food and eat it in the park. Very friendly and everything was delicious.

13/06/2026: The staff here are top class, always friendly, helpful and polite. The only thing that beats them is the food which is absolutely on fire, 100%+ every time , a tad on the pricey side but I don't care, just take all of my money, I've been in twice a day on occasion.

08/08/2026: Great place to have a meal in Kilkenny! Close to the castle. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious! High recommended!
