27/03/2025: Excellent daily lunch incl a great hot food counter and a delicious salad bar. Fabulous staff , great facilities & plenty of parking.
Update. Still the same grat staff and hot carvery. Miss the salad bar . Fell victim to covid.

31/03/2025: Went to the elm tree last night for my birthday, food was amazing and had a great night, only to get a phone call from my sister this morning to say she rang the restaurant last night to get a bottle of prosecco to be sent to my table only to be told , sorry we are too busy , how rude, to say I was upset was an understatement after leaving €250 for dinner and a few drinks ,they obviously don't need the money

14/12/2024: I visited about 15 years ago. I used to wear my hair loosely tied in a scrunchie, I was on the staircase and felt someone touching my hair. There was no one around.
08/12/2024: Bantry House is one of the most stunning places in West Cork. Their gardens are a must visit, but if you have time I highly recommend staying in their B&B, breakfast is delicious, attention is second to none and everyone is super friendly, it feels like home. I really can’t wait to go back.

26/03/2025: The breakfast muffin is second to none, excellent ingredients and delicious bun. Had it both for takeaway (as Saturday/Sunday it gets mad busy inside, not much ventilation going on also with the cooking) and inside with their Malteser or Baileys cheesecake, which is excellent too. Not easy to fit more than 5/6 people at brunch time, better to take away and eat in the park by the river if weather allows.
27/11/2024: Gorgeous cafe and particular praise due to young man who I believe to be the manager. Professional and confident ! Well done you. Stunning Xmas decor. Beautiful take away seeded brown bread loaf… so yummy.

Our waiter Peter was very very professional and looked after us so well.
Food excellent and portions very good.
The neighbourhood menu was just lovely.
Value for money 5 Star 🌟.

31/03/2025: I had a falafel sandwich, yogurt salad and a smoothie here and all were delightful! But what stood out to me was the friendly staff who were so accommodating and kind. I originally placed a to-go order and upon seeing the inviting atmosphere, I decided to stay and they were very kind to let me have a table and service even. The interior is so comfortable, I would highly recommend!
24/03/2025: I got the food fairly fast, portions are not generous but I liked the falafel and the place is fairly clean, I wish I got some dates like the other tables to break my fasting, as I made aware the waitre… he seemed a bit tense…

15/04/2025: Had a lovely lunch. Food was delicious and loyal to what I remember from Oaxaca and San Cristobal de las casas.
The corn flour tortillas and the perfect salsa verde makes the difference
