The best restaurants

23/07/2025: Great food and friendly service. I was there early in the afternoon, so it was pretty quiet. Seemed to have a big function room which I can only imagine gets busy in the evenings. Good spot. Nice clean toilet, which is a good indicator as to the care taken with other aspects of customer care.

08/07/2025: On our first day in Tramore (four adults, two children), we stumbled upon O'Neills by chance after arriving and immediately felt welcomed. Although it was full, we were offered a seat in an adjoining room. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal.

04/08/2025: Went for a meal and would like a weekend there...great food in a modern, bright and well maintained setting. Good traditional Irish friendly welcome and atmosphere.

28/07/2025: Lovely hotel but for price point would have expected better. We booked a room with a balcony which was quite spacious but I felt the bathroom was too small. I was looking forward to a relaxing bath but it felt too confined & when my partner went to try it out, the water had a brownish hue so that put me off completely. Could get rid of desk area with mirror & extend bathrooms, especially in the balcony rooms. The balcony itself was very big & had stunning views, but again needs some maintenance, boards falling at the side & a bad finish to the front, again for the price point would expect better. Was disappointed on check in that the receptionist called out our room number when other people around the lobby, if I was travelling alone, I would have asked for my room to be changed. We were advised on check in there was live music in the bar @ 9pm so we came down to have a drink & to check it out, but there was no music on & no real atmosphere, so we went back to our room to chill out. Breakfast was ok, sausages & eggs where good but did not enjoy the rest. Apple juice was very watered down & tasted more like water. Overall, will love to come back to Sneem, but don't think we will book this hotel, sadly.

20/07/2025: We are a couple who go into this little place a lot.. I recently ordered porridge to be made for me on milk . I have to say it was made perfectly to the way I can only eat it. I got honey and fruit on the said. I mean when I say there was nothing left in my bowl.. so we would highly recommend it. The breakfast menu is over at 12oc so give urself time . . 11/08/2025: Beautiful rustic and well maintained hotel, right in the center of it all. Super clean large rooms and comfy beds. The bar and restaurant are great! There is even an outdoor terrace and nightly local musicians! Staff is super friendly and attentive... Simply awesome :-)

28/07/2025: Lovely historic hotel close to town center. Many great pubs and restaurants close as well as shopping and train station. Friendly staff and nice restaurant.

25/07/2025: Went here Sunday 20th July the service was very poor almost seemed disappointed we came into the restaurant And the food wasn't any better I got the fish n chips which was very poor the batter was soggy and under cooked my daughters got the Thai red curry which seemed to have a full bunch of coriander in it and the other got the pan fried cod which in fairness wasn't bad but overall it was not good !!

30/06/2025: Lovely place, food is great, the service in particular is fantastic. Came for a mid-sized event and the staff were absolutely brilliant and did a great job. Food quality and selection was very good

30/07/2025: Outstanding service with the friendliest & helpful staff who go out of their way to help you. The food was excellent, fresh, delicious & presentation so well & great value. The pub is spotless & lovely atmosphere for the second you walk in, also beautiful outdoor space which is decorated really well. Highly recommend . Thanks for a lovely evening in an authentic Irish gastro pub.

30/06/2025: Chef came out and made sure we were happy with the food. It was seriously delicious!!! I had red curry- best I have had! Everyone loved their food!

21/06/2025: We went to Salina for dinner. The food and service were fine, and the restaurant looked really nice, better than other halal places. While sitting at our table, we talked about how we found the food a bit expensive. It was a private talk between us. But the owner overheard it and made a rude comment when we were paying. He said someone compared his food to takeaway and that he didn’t want to see that customer again. It felt like he was talking about us and trying to embarrass us. This was very unprofessional. If you run a public restaurant, you should be able to accept different opinions. We didn’t complain to any staff, we just talked to each other. The owner’s behaviour ruined our experience.

07/08/2025: Great staff, service, good food. I was there for 3 nights for a wedding, couldn't fault anything to be honest. It was a great place to stay.

27/06/2025: This is Vanilla Pod's second best cousin. VP is next door and excellent and always busy so ppl who can't get in there, opt for here. The staff are great. The fried food is delicious but only comes with a magnitude of chips. Some salad on the plate would be helpful. The garlic mayo needed more mayo and less garlic, it resembled garlic paste. Would I return? Yes. But I'd avoid the fried food, which is unfortunately my Achille's heel.
