The best restaurants

13/12/2025: Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We were served burgers without fries, which were not included or even offered. The burgers themselves were very basic and quite poor in quality. Considering the price, the value for money was not good at all. We expected much more for what we paid.

23/05/2026: Have eaten both in the restaurant and had take away. Both outstanding. Food so tasty and very reasonable prices. Staff very welcoming.

08/05/2026: I love visiting the Harp Tavern for food & a few drinks. Really friendly atmosphere, the food is amazing and the service is always top notch. Ann in particular, always goes the extra mile for the customers and always makes you feel at home. Would highly recommend.

17/06/2026: I visited Italian Connection on a Monday evening with two of my siblings. The restaurant was busy and had a nice atmosphere. We were shown to our table. The customer service was excellent. All three of our dishes were served nicely presented and smelt delicious. All the food was well cooked and served hot. We had a really enjoyable meal at Italian Connection.

12/06/2026: Amazing food. Earthy rich flavours. Finger licking stuff! Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Kudos to the staff. Food as always great every time one visits. Very consistently good!

13/05/2026: An unpretentious restaurant, not gourmet as advertised. Convenient when other dining options aren't available in the park, and the service is quick. However, be aware that a dropped fork was replaced on the table due to poor service.

09/06/2026: Came by around 7pm, they told us the table has to be returned by 8.20pm we said no problem! I wanted to get the mussels but saw that it wasn’t available, so ordered the clams instead and it was amazing. Had cod and chicken for mains and they were delicious as well. Overall a really great experience until the bill came, we paid for it, and when we were ready to leave, the waiter (who served us in the beginning and once in the middle) said unkindly “is there anything wrong” we said “no, it’s all good!” Then he said “the service charge is not included” and walked away. As we leave, said Thank you to him and he ignored us. Well, if the service charge is an expectation, please feel free to add it in the bill next time instead of making it optional. And we do prefer a much upfront cost, than a variable that takes up “thinking power”. Because optional comes with the risk factor of how the person is feeling that day, whether the waiter went above and beyond, were there anything that particularly stood out. We left feeling guilty, when we’d have wanted to leave happily saying bye to a great restaurant and looking forward to recommend it. Anyway, I loved the food, just not sure if we got the right waiter that would brought the best out of us.

03/06/2026: Had a really great meal in Old Street at the weekend. Fantastic staff, great fresh produce beautifully cooked and presented. We were looked after by an incredibly nice guy. So friendly and attentive. Best restaurant experience we have had in quite some time.

19/04/2026: We ordered truffle fries, the truffle burger, and the 5 Smash. The meat was good, but it had absolutely no truffle flavor. The fries tasted only of onion. The truffle mayo was sour cream. The burgers were small. We ordered a Coke, they didn't bring it, and they tried to charge us for it. A disappointment.

14/06/2026: Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. Everything we ordered was impeccable, and the restaurant has such a warm, welcoming, family-friendly feel. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back.

30/04/2026: Genuinely best pub in maynooth. Jamie and Rebecca are the best, they make you feel so welcome . Food and drinks are spectacular ! Everyone needs to come. Guinness class.

09/10/2025: I like this place. I've eaten here before and I'll eat here again. I've recommended it before also and I'll do so again. But PLEASE PLEASE remember that NOT everyone thinks rocket is an acceptable substitute for lettuce! I absolutely HATE rocket. It's the most disgusting excuse of a green around. It has such a deadening taste on any plate. MOREOVER, if your menu says LETTUCE and you order a Bacon LETTUCE, Avocado & Tomato sandwich, there should be NO rocket on the plate at all! And there should be some lettuce at least. AND hopefully more than the smidgen of tomato & avocado you put on this sandwich! If you have no lettuce please tell customers or call it a BRAT instead of a BLAT!

05/05/2026: Really nice place for a sandwich. Not too busy and loud. Bathroom is really clean. They only had a few sandwiches left we could choose from. They toasted them up quickly and it tasted good. The chocolate milk was too milky and it wasn't that much. Less than half the cup was filled up.

15/06/2026: We've eaten at The Dule a couple of times; the food is good, but the menu is a bit limited for our taste. The staff is very friendly. It's centrally located, next to Graston Street.

06/06/2026: Went for lunch on a really sunny day with some colleagues. Pints were lovely, food were lovely but really happy with the barman who looked after us. Unfortunately didn’t get his name but he was young enough, late 20s probably. Looked after us, pulled down the shade when it got too warm. Really nice to deal with. We will be back
