The best restaurants

23/05/2026: We went for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. The place is small, but if you book or arrive a little early, you can easily find a table. The menu is very simple, with just a few burgers, to which you can add a few toppings and extras. The burger was excellent! The fries are especially noteworthy: they have several different types, and the portions are quite generous. Recommended!

25/05/2026: Lucas made our dinner memorable and delightful! The food was great and the service was even better! We even went back to see him the night after our dinner! Next time we are back in Dublin we will definitely visit him again.

24/05/2026: Went on Tuesday night in January and the place was pretty empty. Had chicken wings and it was a huge portion. Food was good though. When we finished the waitress teased us with the dessert menu. We can't say no especially since she already laid down the cutlery for dessert. Had the cheesecake, which was Nutella and coconut, which was light for dessert . Brownie was apparently too sweet for a full stomach.

09/04/2026: hidden gem? we finished our trip to Dublin with a dinner for 8 here and wow what an experience. they were able to accommodate us with minimal notice and sat our large group in a private area for larger groups. the food was simply wonderful across our entire group, across so many different dishes from starters of french onion soup, caesar salad and foi gras to mains of fish pie, beef pie, gourmet burger and braised beef to desserts and of course a nip of whiskey. the ambiance is simply great and the staff even better. don't miss this one.

29/03/2026: Non alcoholic cocktails were fabulous, the cocktail menu is lengthy with lush ingredients and the desserts are a must try!

06/05/2026: We travelled 40 minutes to Kilkenny just to visit this restaurant and we wasn't desapointed. The food is authentic Portuguese. We had prawn rissois, meat rissol and cod cake for starter, chicken piri piri and grilled cod for main course and milk pudding with coffee for dessert. Everything was delicious. Good service, nice atmosphere. We will come back again.

31/12/2025: There was actually no place left to eat... the owner? A really nice man, who said if we wait two minutes, we'll know if anyone has canceled! And they did! We were led to a great spot in the busy restaurant. The woman serving us was Michelle, what a cheerful and sweet person! Full of energy! The food was absolutely perfect!!! The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce was just like in Italy 🇮🇹. Not to mention the pizza!!! I've never had such a delicious meal anywhere ❤️ When we're back in Dublin, we'll definitely pop in here again!

12/10/2025: A bar with great character and charm ... sadly disappearing today. The bar staff and the customers were friendly and full of locals knowledge, the bar comfortable and rustic and the pints tasty. The toilets were clean and the prices reasonable. What more do you need!

25/04/2026: What a great surprise Passed this little gem hundreds of times and always assumed another greasy spoon chipper! I was so very wrong !!! The food service and staff manning this spot are pro’s ! Wow has to be the best burger and chips I've ever had ! Packaged and presented with a pride that’s to be admired and screamed from the rooftops. These people have a real passion to deliver the best ! Don’t miss an opportunity to satisfy your soul ! 🛑

28/05/2026: We had an excellent stay here at the Lakeside Hotel. Unfortunately due to a storm and subsequent power cut, the hotel were having an IT issue and couldn’t check us in immediately. Staff on the desk were very apologetic, and we were offered free drinks while we waited. Due to the delay, we were offered a free upgrade of room. I mostly say this to outline how the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was not affected by an IT issue that was no fault of their own. On top of that, the hotel has gorgeous facilities, lovely rooms, and breakfast was perfect, with everything you could want. I wouldn’t think twice to stay here again. 5/5 stars!

18/05/2026: The burger is good, but nothing special. The girls who work there are very friendly, and what's more, they're Brazilian. The atmosphere is great, and most of the playlist is Brazilian music :) The place is across from the famous Dublin bar: The Temple Bar.

18/05/2026: The portion size was generous for the price, and the taste was fantastic! You can choose from three types of fries, and I went with the shoestring. The staff were also very friendly and their smiles were a real treat!

17/05/2026: Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated, and the service was very friendly. The food was really excellent. A little more guacamole would have been great, especially since the burger is called "The Guacamole" ;) but otherwise, it was very tasty and high quality.

09/05/2026: We had been recommended to go to Boyles by many people and it didnt disappoint, far from it! A group of us had gathered there early in the day and John was nothing but warm and welcoming. We came back later in the evening (after an event) and the atmosphere and service was fantastic. We felt like we were having the craic with family, the staff were great! Thanks to John for being an amazing host, you go above and beyond, a true gem of Slane! Hope to be back soon! Coleen and Stephen

26/03/2026: Best pub in Slane, can’t beat the atmospheric lighting and decor, music, and friendly service behind the bar. The staff are welcoming and the locals and regulars are the best!

05/12/2025: Love love love this place. The fabulous lady who is front of house (and who also is the dessert chef) is such a joy. I love going back as often as I can. The sardinian bread at the start is a lovely touch. The raviole is my fave.

01/06/2026: Lovely Irish bistro/resteraunt serving Italuan food hidden away in a quiet street near to the Grand Canal and Google offices as well as the Bord Gais theatre. Higher class food, wine and service, so it is not a cheap option. But food is nicely presented and service is very attentive. It is worth a visit.
