23/05/2026: Went here mid-week after a recommendation from a friend. What a fantastic little place. Food was absolutely perfect. The sea bass and Dublin Bay prawns are delicious. And well worth the little bit extra. The fish and chips are the best my partner has had in Ireland. The staff are very attentive. We will be returning and highly recommend this restaurant/bar

13/12/2025: We stopped in glengarriff for some breakfast and checked out a few different spots that we saw on Google maps. A few of them were closed so it came down to Sugarloaf Cafe or the lough afoul inn. A quick look at the lough inn's prices made us slowly back away, and as we were doing so the owner came out and called out some incoherent ramblings about soup and breakfast in quite a confrontational way. This, needless to say, converted our backing away into a swift shuffle into Sugarloaf Cafe. Best decision of the day! The lovely, cozy, friendly atmosphere made our morning. The service and food were outstanding but the star of the experience was the warm and welcoming owner who had us smiling and laughing throughout our meal! Despite having 3 tables to serve when we were there, she made time to make conversation with everyone and made us all feel comfortable. Combined with the far more reasonable pricing than the establishment over the road and this experience confirmed 2 repeat customers. If you're looking for a friendly relaxing dining experience in glengarriff the Sugarloaf Cafe is a must try!

12/06/2026: Had a wonderful dining experience. The fish was cooked perfectly — absolutely no complaints. The staff were very polite, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend the pan-roasted fillet of hake, the pan-roasted fillet of sea bass, and the wild Atlantic squid. Each dish was excellently cooked, full of flavour, and the squid in particular was tender with no chew at all, which is not easy to get right. Overall, a fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

09/06/2026: Sticky toffee pudding was absolutely delicious. Sea bass risotto was excellent. And the fried calamari with sweet chilli jam was a star. 5 stars all around!!

15/12/2025: Great coffee, fresh takeaway food (pastry, sandwiches, salads) and a big selection of artisan grocery items including their own range of excellent balsamic vinegar and olive oils. There's also a sit-in option, which I haven't availed of. Warm and friendly service. Id highly recommend this neighbourhood gem.

28/11/2025: The cutest shop and the coffee was lovely. Really friendly and kind service. And you have to try the cinnamon bun!!! Insanely delish!

14/10/2025: In Roscrea for a few hours and E53 was recommended, coffee was spot on, tasty and delightfully presented. Food was prepared so well and the two girls behind the counter were so nice. What a find, 5 star no problem

03/06/2026: Worth every kilometre! I live nearly 190 km away from Kilkenny, but during a recent visit to the area, a local recommendation led me to Indique Restaurant — and I am so glad it did! I decided to take away, and honestly, it was one of the best food decisions I’ve made in a long time. The food travelled all the way home with me, and by the time it reached the dinner table, it was still absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavour, beautifully spiced, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The entire family loved it — not a single complaint, only compliments! It’s rare to find a takeaway that holds up over a long journey and still manages to impress everyone at home. Indique did exactly that. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Kilkenny — or even if you’re just passing through, make the stop. It is absolutely worth it. We will definitely be back on our next visit!

31/12/2025: I arrived at 6:30pm on New Years Eve without a reservation. And when the woman in charge heard I was a party of one she immediately found me a spot. The curry chicken was great, and a huge serving. And it also included garlic bread AND chips! And since it was a special night I ordered the bread and butter pudding. They added every extra possible, and it was amazing! Thanks to all for making my solo night a memorable one! (And for keeping my glasses safe until I returned for them.) Highly recommend!

02/06/2026: When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a bigger suite as it was my birthday .Huge busy hotel .Staff excellent .Rooms spotless .Music in the bar that night was very enjoyable .Have to say that for such a busy hotel I was really impressed at breakfast time at the speed at which everyone was seated .Tables were cleaned .Beverages served .Loads of buffet breakfast availible and food was good too

06/05/2026: This is not food... it is culinary art at its finest. It is a very rare restaurant that prepares food as delicate and precise as this. The chefs are of the highest standard, the food was delicious, well thought out and visually stunning. The night's conversation leaned heavily on the quality and taste of the food, especially after trying a couple of the chef's specials. The word "remarkable" found it's meaning in each plate we tasted. We, admittedly, cheekily ordered one or two of the pricier items on the menu and were presented with dishes so delightful, they are difficult to describe with mere words. That is not hyperbole. Alongside our meal, the summer menu cocktails went down a treat. There is also an extensive wine menu which we did not partake in. Staff are lovely, respectful and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant for a special romantic date night, for true blood fans of food and for any aspiring chefs. This is very possibly the best meal I have ever eaten in Dublin. Once again, not hyperbole. 10/10 - Rob
