25/09/2026: We had our Day 2 wedding celebration at Blackbird Ballycotton, and we couldn’t have picked a better place! Mossie was incredibly helpful from the very beginning and made organising everything so easy. Having the private area out the back for our 60 guests was fantastic, with plenty of space for everyone to relax, enjoy themselves and celebrate with us. We even managed to get the sunshine, which made the day even more special! The food from Trawler Boys was absolutely amazing, and a huge thank you to Fiona and the entire team at Blackbird for making our day so special. Everyone had such a brilliant time, and we can’t wait to come back again in the future for more pints, food and plenty of craic! Thanks again to everyone at Blackbird for a fantastic day. ❤️

12/09/2026: Food was not very good. Had the muscles and if I had dropped one on the floor it would have bounced back on my plate. My wife had the fish and chips. That’s all she ate that day and spent the night on the toilet. I would avoid.

20/07/2026: Excellent coffee and friendly service from Tadgh, Jimmy and Moses. Would suggest better two-seater tables than the cheap slatted IKEA ones you have, They are quite unstable on the gravel and the slightest tip with your shoe means coffee dripping through the slats all over your clothes!

09/09/2026: If you’re traveling to Dublin, this restaurant has got to be a priority. Getting the Chowk Ki Aloo Tikki (aka potato cakes) is a must. I was unsure at first, but my eyes started watering when I took the first bite because of how magically delicious the flavors were. One of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. We also tried some of their signature dishes. The wings were good, but we wish they would’ve come with an additional sauce. The Goat Keema Pao was great, and the bread that comes with it really makes the dish. We also tried their butter chicken because our waiter hyped it up. It was worth the hype and was some of the best butter chicken I’ve had! The tandoori bread basket is a wonderful addition because you get to sample three flavors of naan. We thought we were stuffed, but then they brought out the dessert menu, and we had to try the chocolate ferrero. Delicious!!! One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to!

03/08/2026: Located on a side street in Kilkenny, they offer very good coffee and tartlets. Super friendly service. Highly recommended, away from the tourist crowds.

12/09/2026: It was without a doubt, one of the most incredible experiences that I’ve had in my 60 years. Myself and five of my friends and our wives planned a trip to Ireland to celebrate our 60th birthdays. One of the highlights was experiencing the beauty at Waterville golf course. The people were incredibly kind and gracious. The course was as picturesque as any I’ve seen. Just like every town we experienced, the people made it extra special. I’d like to say hello and thank you to Aoibhinn (who may be at college now) I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you , learning about your golf career and hearing about your hole in one on # 4 ! You’re an exceptional caddie too. Best wishes to Helena and Nicki in the pro shop, our wives loved meeting and chatting with your legendary golf pro, we all miss Waterville but I think I speak for everyone, we’ll be back ! ❤️🍀🇮🇪

10/09/2026: This was my 8th trip to Ireland, I have played a number of great tracks in Ireland, and Waterville is in my top 10 of Irish courses that I have golfed. It is a very playable course as the fairways are fairly generous, and the wind was a non-factor the day I played. The scenery on a sunny day is spectacular. A big shout out to my caddy Maeve, who provided great guidance. We had good conversation and many laughs. All the best to you Maeve. A caveat in that the tee fees at Waterville now run to 400-450 euro in the summer. Sadly that now seems to be the current state of affairs for golf in Ireland $$$$$. You pay a high price for the great experience.

27/08/2026: This is one of the few places in Donegal where you can get a cup of professionally brewed espresso or pour over coffee made from high‑quality specialty beans. They have good equipment, and their baristas are very professional.

19/08/2026: Omg the absolute best açai bowl I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Hawaii multiple times and Brazil !! Coffee is absolutely delicious too!! I highly recommend!! The açai bowls you can choose as many toppings as you wish.

11/07/2026: Fantastic experience, a true Italian restaurant of the highest quality: the fish is incredibly fresh and prepared with care and respect for the ingredients, and the ravioli are amazing. I never expected such delicious first courses in Dublin. The wine list is extensive, carefully selected by the owner, who is a true expert. The prices, in my opinion, are fair considering the hospitality and high quality of the restaurant. Highly recommended!
