01/03/2026: Lovely place. Staff are so nice. I was curious about the protein options in the lunch deals and whoever was helping me was so helpful and sorted me with a Prawn Pad Thai that was lovely. I would like more prawns, personally, but I understand that this was a smaller portion. I would also have liked more prawns because they were really, really well cooked! So I'm just greedy. Seating area was limited but I imagine this is a take away-orientated spot so it's no biggie. Nice people, nice food!

10/03/2026: Best chowder in Ireland, cooked when ordered. I have eaten a lot of seafood chowder. None has come close to the chowder I had here today. Bursting with flavour, big fat prawns, mussels, quality fish, homemade brown mini-loaf & real butter. All served in a cosy atmosphere by genuinely friendly staff. Don't miss this rare gem!

13/02/2026: we had a group for bottomless brunch, and the mimosas were definitely enjoyed! i like that there’s different flavours of mimosa. the staff member who looked after us was brilliant (sorry i forget his name!). we received a lunch menu despite the website saying brunch is between 11-3, but the loaded fries with bacon and avocado were delicious. the coffee was okay. i’d like to return and try the evening menu!

27/01/2026: Would be in here quite regularly and the staff are always very friendly (and eventually knew our order by heart and would bring out our coffees without even asking). Connor especially is always very chatty and welcoming. Even on busy days the staff would do their best to get us a table. Good food and nice vibes. It can be a bit loud on busy days with parties and things but that's no ones fault.

02/03/2026: Lovely place. Pure Italian restaurant with delicious food and lovely owners! If you looking for taste of Italy this is perfect place for it! Highly recommended even for children!

12/03/2026: We had a wonderful stay in Dublin. The accommodation was well located, very clean and pleasant, and the bedding was comfortable. Our only disappointment was the breakfast, as the restaurant doesn't open until 11 am.

11/03/2026: I had fish and chips here, truly excellent, the only one worth mentioning in four days... last night I also had an excellent salad with prawns and salmon, well-made... I recommend the restaurant. The staff is very kind.

01/01/2026: Booked for a New Year's Eve dinner, we've had food here on a couple of occasions and we were never disappointed. We adore this part of the south east, it's a pleasure to eat in this total gem! The very best of Irish hospitality on our door step. Wonderful friendly service, couldn't fault anything. The food is very inventive and fresh, attention to detail is outstanding. Each meal a work of art!

20/09/2025: The Gallery Wine Bar is a MUST visit! Delicious natural wines, delectable food served up with excellent vinyl music. Owner Tom is a real character, he’s inviting, knowledgeable and always great conversation. He took his time to chat about our wines and the importance of them being Natural, pulling books off the shelf he though we might like. The Gallery is our first, and often only port of call when in Westport…. Even the coffee is absolutely spot on. If you love natural wine, vinyls and a super chill spot, you have to get yourself there.

21/03/2026: I ate at this restaurant with a friend yesterday evening. The food was absolutely delicious, but such a pity about the rudeness of the waitress/manager on the upper floor.

14/03/2026: Nothing but praise for this restaurant. I had the best meal I have ever had in Ireland, having lived here 20yrs now. We loved the John Dory sharing plate in seafood bisque! Also, the service is delightful. Every waiter was equally charming, a rare surprise these days. This is now officially my favourite restaurant in Ireland!

22/02/2026: Myself and my husband had a lovely meal in The Cottage restaurant this evening. The food was exceptional. Very tasty. Service was fantastic- waitresses and waiter were very attentive. We will be back and will certainly be recommending this restaurant to family and friends.

15/02/2026: We had the set menu here on Sunday. It was absolutely delicious , couldn’t fault it. Would definitely recommend. The staff were so friendly and bubbly. We’ll be back for sure.

17/02/2026: Amazing pub, no tourists, patrons playing music and singing. When one of the older patrons starts singing, the whole pub falls silent. A magical atmosphere... an incredible evening... also a great selection of Irish whiskeys and professional yet welcoming service. Highly recommended!

05/02/2026: My boyfriend and I have been to Sidecar twice now and it’s been a great experience both times. The cocktail menu is brilliantly thought out and every drink we’ve had here has been fantastic. The service is always perfect, James and David were with us today and were so pleasant, they’re lovely lads, extremely friendly, went out of their way to treat us well and are very knowledgeable mixologists. We strongly recommend the place, very warm atmosphere and a great relaxing getaway. Will be back many more times for sure.

19/01/2026: Great flat white and amazing food! Brekkie bap was the perfect choice so I highly recommend. Next time I visit I'll pick some filter coffee beans!
