21/05/2025: Don’t even think of taking a shower here… 10€ for 7 minutes. Scam. For that price you can get a day pass at a local leisure center and have more shower time plus other facilities. Not worth it at all.

11/06/2025: Had read reviews about The Grill Shack and decided to try it out on a Saturday late afternoon, it was very busy but were accommodated, service was excellent lovely friendly staff and the food was delicious one steak and one double burger and a side of onion rings Highly recommend a visit

08/06/2025: The staff here are lovely. The southern fried chicken burger was delicious however the fries really let this place down they were hard and undercooked. The pepper sauce tasted like gravy. A nice spot to bring the kids for something different.

14/05/2025: Bought an order of the chips (fries) and took them to a Pub to enjoy with a pint. They were amazing! I highly recommend that you try them. The guys serving them up were very friendly and they even recommended which pubs wouldn't mind us bringing in some food to enjoy with the drinks. Again, it is a must visit!

02/06/2025: Best TIRAMISU in Ireland! (Didn’t have time to take a picture hahah) As Starter we got the charcuterie board and Halibut salad which was delicious and it is now my favourite salad in cork. I got the pasta w/ zucchini and mint, and it was a great surprise. Success. The other dessert, Pain Perdu, w a sorbet was delicious. Can’t wait to be back. Troppo bono. Grazie.

01/06/2025: We highly recommend this place. We stumbled upon it by chance and didn't regret it. After a short time, we had a table for five (without a reservation). The service staff was very attentive, we had a short wait, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was truly imaginative and inviting. We felt very comfortable and left more than satisfied. We wholeheartedly recommend this place.

25/05/2025: Brilliant place to go with family and caters for disability users. We were given first class service with very friendly staff and great food. I would highly recommend it and will be back.

31/05/2025: There are some places that just get it right—every time. For me, that place is Mueller & O'Connell Bakery in Abbeyleix. Whether it’s their signature sourdough, packed with flavour and texture, or their focaccia, light, fragrant, and perfectly crisped—this bakery consistently raises the bar. The craftsmanship, care, and tradition behind every loaf is obvious the moment you step inside or take that first bite. It’s not just bread—it’s what bread is supposed to be. Real ingredients, no shortcuts, and an authenticity that’s rare to find these days. There’s a quiet brilliance in doing something simple, but doing it exceptionally well. And Mueller & O’Connell have that down to an art form. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favour. You won’t regret it.

20/05/2025: An absolutely fantastic bakery in Abbeyleix. I chose the raspberry and elderflower mousse cruffin (a cross between a muffin and a croissant) and it was incredible! I have never tasted anything so delicious. The bakery itself was busy and the staff were nice through it all. I got my food to go and it was still fresh and tasty by the time I got home. I highly recommend everyone to check out this wonderful bakery if you ever want to grab a bite passing through.

26/05/2025: Sunday Carvery had a lovely bit of roast beef gorgeous horse radish sauce. Nice pint of Guinness. Staff were professional, smiley, informative and attentive. Would highly recommend the bistro.

22/05/2025: One word for this hotel. AMAZING. We stayed for 2 nights and can’t wait to return. Brian that served us in the restaurant is one of their greatest assets. Could not fault it .
