17/05/2026: Our tour bus stopped here for lunch, food was very good and came quickly as we only had 40 mins for lunch, they had a good system down and we had plenty of time to enjoy the food and a pint. Food was very affordable compared to similar pubs

14/05/2026: came to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and what was meant to be a memorable night ended up being incredibly disappointing to say the least. the food was average at best, and the service… the service was nothing short of terrible. we spent most of the evening waiting for someone to attend us and when the server finally took notice in us they were ridiculously rude and standoffish. never coming back.

04/05/2026: Had such a lovely time at The Monk’s Well yesterday for day two of my friend’s wedding. Geraldine was lovely & a great host to us and ensured for a great evening. The atmosphere was brilliant—really relaxed and full of good vibes. The Barn area was the perfect spot to host us & give us the space to continue the celebrations! The evening food platters & freshly baked pizzas were absolutely delicious, and the staff & service were amazing! We wanted for nothing! Would definitely recommend as a venue for a great get-together! Will Definitely be back for future occasions. Many many thanks!

20/02/2026: A must try if you're in the area.Food was amazing.I had the beef and guinness pie that was on special today and it was excellent,full of flavour helped on by a red wine gravy and mash potatoe.Also had their tomatoe and red pepper soup along side the main course which was delicious.We decided to have desert as the first 2 courses were excellent.Service was very good and staff lovely.A good varied menu to choose from and also a kids menu.My little lad had the chicken tenders and chips and loved it.I have heard that the roast dinner on the Sunday is die for so we will be back to try this.Can't wait for next visit.

07/06/2026: Wouldnt recommend this coffee shop. Sat down with a coffee and a croissant only for them to tell me I can’t use my laptop inside. If I had known I wouldn’t have bought a coffee from here! Never been to a coffee shop before that doesn’t allow laptops. I understand not allowing customers to sit for hours and hours but to ban laptops while enjoying your coffee makes no sense to me.

07/12/2025: Went here two weekends in a row highly recommend it. The atmosphere and food is lovely. The waitress April was so helpful and accommodating, her energy made us feel very welcomed.

18/05/2026: One of the best restaurants, the service is more than wonderful. I'd like to thank the best waiter, Jude Balmer (Jay), he provided excellent service. We will definitely be back again.

18/05/2026: I had the most wonderful day here for my little brother’s birthday. Beautiful atmosphere within the restaurant and such such kind staff, particularly Susy, Thais, Jay, and Dani. The food was absolutely delicious also. This is my third time at the restaurant and definitely not my last, I definitely recommend it for a casual lunch or nice dinner. Thank you to the staff for the wonderful experience.

27/04/2026: Fantastic place....all staff were very attentive, food was amazing. Definitely highly recommended it. You get to sit on the upper deck before dinner. You travel along the canel while passing through one lock gate. You then return in a backwards motion to where you started from.

06/05/2026: I went there on a Sunday and got parking outside but there's another car park up the road it's beside a petrol station and shop. There is a few seats outside which was lovely on a sunny day. It was busy though although I got a seat straight away very nice food and cakes and nice coffee, staff are lovely

17/05/2026: Really lovely warm atmosphere. Good and service were both excellent ! We had two kiddos with us and they were more than happy the whole time ! Food came out quickly (but not too quickly) and was so delicious. Kids menu options were really good ! Bathrooms really clean also ! Would recommend for some good food after a day out.

17/06/2026: The portions are bigger than you expect but good all round. Lovely place although on a sunny day expect it to be busy. And unless you have mobility limitations, park on top of the hill and have a little wonder down. Nice place to have walk after a meal of yih have the time

07/06/2026: We stopped here on our walk to Graignemanagh and it was so quaint and the staff were so friendly and happy. Lovely cup of tea and the views in St Mullins are magnificent 👌
