23/03/2025: By good fortune we found ourselves seated in Ann’s cosy café. After an hour on the sideline of a wet pitch, and with two hungry footballers in tow we were greeted to a warm and cheerful welcome and platters of delicious burgers that would put the ‘other McDonalds’ to shame. After licking our plates we were bid a merry farewell fir the long drive home. If you're hungry in New Ross then look no further than Ann Mc D’s. *****
18/03/2025: Visiting Ireland from Canada and had the pleasure of stopping in for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food fantastic. Add to that the wonderful hostess who was so kind and friendly. Thank you for a great experience :)

10/03/2025: I really dislike the QR code menus, not everyone has a smart phone and it's really not a nice way to start your dining experience staring at a screen trying to read an overly wordy & complicated menu. If the issue is saving paper, small chalkboard menus could be used - it would certainly force them to make the menu more concise & easily readable. As for the food, it is pretty good, but not amazing. (EDIT: that is great that folder menu is now available, this makes it much more likely for me to return - I hope they are replacing the QR code and don't have to be "asked" for)

04/04/2025: The bartender that served me was rude and snarky for no apparent reason. my friend has had a few bad experiences just like this and we honestly are the last people to be rude or warrant these kind of responses. Shame as the beer selection is absolutely lovely and bar is absolutely gorgeous!

10/04/2025: I ordered the Caterpillar roll, and it was delicious! I took my food for carryout, but the inside of the restaurant was quaint and served as a nice place to eat! All of my questions were answered about the food by the server. We were the only people in there at the time, so it was not overcrowded, and the food was timely. The only thing that made it hard to eat was the size of the roll, but who cares when it tastes great!
05/04/2025: Delicious food and great service! Big thanks to the Malaysian waitress — super friendly and helpful. Made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back!

We hadn't booked, and it was a holiday without our knowledge. Despite everything they made us sit at the counter and served us a glass of water with lemon.
Fresh fish and cooked very well. The shrimp were clean. Delicious garlic bread. Nothing to say I would go back immediately. I give four stars to the food only for the pasta which was overcooked. But clearly I didn't expect more, I got that dish just for the prawns. I highly recommend it.
22/03/2025: Popped in on a recommendation this evening. Simply amazing place. Superbly run. Food excellent, staff excellent. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a manager actively training and coaching his staff on the job in a calm annd productive way. Also listening to longer standing staff encouraging and aiding new staff. Honestly you should all be very proud of what you are doing. Food was outstanding. We will definitely be back.
