13/06/2025: Very good place to try the Irish Seafood chowder. We really enjoyed the dish and the service. And plus the price is very affordable.

09/06/2025: Visited this stunning restaurant for the first time ever at the weekend, shameful I left it so long considering am only a few villages away. Firstly the moment we walked in the door you have the pizza stove to your left and the lads making cocktails and drinks and there is the nicest smiling lady greeting you and taking you to your table, the decor, service, food, atmosphere was just top class, a credit to them all. Just booked to come back.

15/04/2025: Mocha beans in Ballina is a really friendly quality coffee experience. The lady who prepared and served us couldn't have done more. Kay was cheerful, professional and more than happy to fulfill our order even though it deviated from the standard menu. The food was perfect and above the norm for similar places. Nice music and atmosphere too. Thank you.

12/03/2025: Real and honest review as a returning customer. I have been here multiple times for sit in and takway. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, but the drinks are a hit or a miss. Their staples are definitely hot chocolate and latte. They are smooth and consistently great. Matcha is a very popular drink, when it comes to popular/new items, I feel like they’re overpriced. I tried their matcha (around €5 ish), and it was a letdown. I ordered the strawberry-flavored one I think they used a syrup, and it stuck to the cup. Once I managed to mix it in, the syrup completely overpowered the matcha flavor that was alredy weak. I also got an iced coffee, but it wasn’t cold enough. There was barely any ice, which made the drink lukewarm instead of refreshing. For better quality Matcha and a reasonable price, I’d recommend trying other places around Ballina. I understand rising costs, and with that in mind, I do still think some items shouldn't be sooooo expensive. I will not be a returning customer. 🙏

16/06/2025: We had a fantastic stay. Rooms were lovely, very comfortable beds. Stunning location looking out into sea. Busy cafe/ bakery which has gorgeous treats and fresh bread. Will definitely be back for another family weekend. Thank you for a great stay.

16/06/2025: If you are fortunate to be in BB, staying and/or eating at Derek's won't disappoint. Hotel rooms are new and clean, best breakfast in the area, and Derek is one of the most pleasant hosts I've ever met - Great local knowledge, and excited to share.

05/05/2025: Absolutely lovely café with excellent food, just perfect if you've finished walking around the Hellfire Club. Staff are friendly, and the rustic decor is inspired by the Timber store. Outdoor seating and indoor seating available. The food was excellent, as was the tea. I can highly recommend the bacon/sausage/pudding sandwich and the Banoffee pie. There were vegan and vegetarian options, with Gluten free options for the celiacs.

06/06/2025: Stupendous selection of Irish whiskey, from a majority of very reasonable, normal prices to a selection of rarer bottles too. Many discoveries to be made.

10/05/2025: Straight after moving to Limerick, Ireland, Mother Mac's have made me feel like this is home. The beer selection is second to none, with rotating taps celebrating local and national beers, and a fantastic selection of local beers. The staff however are the cherry on top. So wonderful, friendly and full of recommendations and advice, they really make the pub what it is. Sláinte!

11/06/2025: I've recently visited the pub for one of the Jazz concerts, which was held at the first floor venue. I would recommend it to anyone or to any small group of friends as space was quite tight, but I would call it cozy, because together with the atmosphere and music it made it a good vibe, drink selection is quite broad too, with high quality mixers. All in all it was a very good experience.

10/06/2025: If I ever make it back to Dublin, I will absolutely prioritize going back to Arthur's Pub! Everything about this place is exactly what I hoped it would be. Perfect pint, delicious food, and great atmosphere. We wanted bangers and mash and it was unbelievably good!

04/06/2025: We went to the restaurant with friends for dinner on Saturday, May 30, 2025. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The service was impeccable, and the food was excellent. I chose grilled chicken, and I can honestly say I've never had such a perfectly grilled meat. The side dishes and the perfectly dressed salad complemented the dinner perfectly. Our special vegetarian requests were also accommodated. They asked us several times how we were feeling and whether everything was OK. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

If you have any occasion and need food delivered and still want it piping hot these people are who you need to contact. I speak from experience after having 2 big party’s and everyone full till the next day with the amount of food they brought. The size never dampened the quality of the food either which we were thrilled about. We don’t have occasion that we don’t use this company for . They will always deliver and never let you down. Nothing like the friendly faces behind the counter and a catch up on a Friday when getting your food . It becomes the weekly routine you never knew you needed . A friendly family feel to the place. It’s a gem in the centre of Portarlington⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
