The best restaurants

27/07/2025: The food, atmosphere and kind, Italian staff brought us right back to Italy. The food is authentic, full of flavour and the pasta is truly al dente. We tried the bolognese pasta, seafood tagliatelle and an absolute winner: anchovies spaghetti. The tiramisu was equally incredible, dense and delicious.

30/06/2025: Thank you so much for hosting our group of 13 on Saturday night. Our bride & gals had an absolute ball of a time. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Thanks for accommodating our vegan girlos. Absolutely stunnin’ food, authentic Italian all day long! Great prep ahead of our brides Italian wedding in September ! X

20/06/2025: Delicious food at a good price. The prawns were amazing. The service was stellar. I booked a table for dinner for my partners birthday, they played happy birthday (at a reasonable volume so as not to disturb other diners) & brought him a slice of delicious chocolate cake with candle and all. It was a lovely touch and a great end to the fantastic meal. I look forward to eating here again soon.

02/08/2025: Genuinely my favourite place to get a delicious coffee/snack in the city. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Lovely spot by the river on a sunny day. Would definitely recommend.

02/08/2025: The place is nice, we ordered a coffee and a chai tea. The tea was good, the coffee average. The prices are very high: €10 for a coffee and tea, both in a small glass; too high.

28/07/2025: I ordered an iced latte and the coffee was very high quality and enjoyable. Went upstairs with some friends to sit and chat in the seating area which was very nice and I found the artsy minimalist aesthetic endearing. Only complaint is the staff were a little standoffish but overall a great place to enjoy a tasty coffee

16/08/2025: We went on a team night out and the place and atmosphere of this place is class. It might look very small at the outside but very big on the inside.Their servers was very approachable and accommodating as well. Food was ok for me. I would say my expectations were a little bit not met. For a 30-40 euro steak, I would have expected that the steak is at least seasoned which was not. The sharing platter as well was a little bit small for me. I expected at least a couple of meats and more cheese on a meat and cheese board but as you can see on the picture that’s their sharing board and you can see on the menu how much that is. My teammates enjoyed their veggie board and they were delighted with the taste. Their desert was great as well. Overall still a good experience. Just get your wallets ready as food can be pricey.

25/07/2025: Insanely good food, I had ducks and they were the best I have ever had. The owner is really kind as well and the interior has a nice natural design.

23/07/2025: Genuinely one of the best places I have ever eaten at. I ordered kimchi beef fried rice and it was served so beautifully and the taste reflected this, it was incredibly high quality. I feel like my picture fails to show the portion size; it was large and easily filled me for the rest of the day. The banana fritters were also delightful, the staff going as far as ordering extra bananas when they were out just for us, which is the most amazing service I have ever seen. The restaurant was welcoming and the staff so kind, I recommend going. I know for sure I will be going again! 10/10!

16/08/2025: The hotel is located in the embassy district, away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to the city center. The rooms are spacious and clean. Our bathroom only had a shower, although all the others we could see from the hallway during cleaning had bathtubs. One star deducted for the pathetic takeaway breakfast we requested during a day trip. I felt it was too little for the money, as it only included two pieces of fruit and a muffin.

14/08/2025: We were contemplating to stay more central location or Herbert Park Hotel till the last moment, and were glad with our final decision. It is a bit away from the downtown, yet maybe due to the distance, quiet and peaceful. We walked to the downtown, which took less than 30 min. There is a nice beach nearby and was perfect for my morning run. Also, there was a farmer's market at the park on Sundays! The room was spacious, so as the bathroom. I liked the nice deep bathtub. We stayed mostly at B&Bs during our trip to Ireland. Luckily it was not too hot, yet when we were back to Dublin, A/C in the room was a nice addition.

01/06/2025: We've never had a bad experience. Sometimes when it's full service can slow down, but never to the point where you feel ignored. The food is always excellent and you never leave hungry. The pricing is very reasonable considering the quality. We often come with family gatherings or good friends.

10/08/2025: Fantastic food and service live music and loads of television's for looking at the football . Sundays can get busy in the afternoon. Beer garden out the back is great aswell.

03/08/2025: The food here is outstanding. They clearly use high quality fresh, local ingredients. It’s always packed in the evenings so a reservation is essential. My only complaint is they removed the fish & chips from their menu and it was honestly the best I’d tried in Ireland.

30/07/2025: We had amazing food excellent local fish and a beautiful local beef casserole in the ba/ restaurant m. This place had a great vibe and really friendly stuff. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Westport and an added bonus, they are dog friendly. #Dogfriendly #Westport #TheHelmWestport

16/08/2025: I got served twice, but then I was told I was wearing tracksuit bottoms so I wasn't being served. These are not obvious tracksuit bottoms. While there is a sign, it's obscured by the frosted glass door when you open it. You can't see through the glass either and because you people generally don't look up and to the left, this sign might as well not be present. These particular bottoms haven't been an issue anywhere else. That said it is a decent pint.

25/06/2025: The service is always fabulous here and the food and coffee are delicious. Their breakfast burrito (served all day) is a personal fave and is always amazing!!
