23/07/2025: Came Back and Still Impressed! I've been to Groundstate Coffee twice now, and both times were genuinely good. The mushy toasty and the pastrami sandwich are definitely worth trying - fresh, tasty, and filling without being heavy. Their flat white is smooth and well made, and the chai latte was also really nice. The atmosphere is relaxed but still has a bit of character, and both times the staff were friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference. It's a great spot if you want a solid breakfast and a proper coffee without any fuss. Happy I found this place - I'll definitely keep coming back when I'm in the area.

22/07/2025: Have to say Groundstate has the best filter coffee in Dublin 8! Super fruity and really really tasty. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff and with an epic coffee knowledge! Would 100% recommend this place if you love tasty coffee!

07/11/2025: Amazing spot for true coffee lovers! I tried the Colombia natural coffee – perfect for the morning, rich and refreshing. The croissant with mixed fruits and pistachios was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and modern, and the staff are super friendly and always happy to help you choose. Highly recommended — definitely a place worth visiting! ☕🥐✨

07/12/2025: Brought my auntie Noreen out for a bite to eat last week and we came across this place. The soup was lovely . Nice creamy texture with a lovely dark ruby red colour shimmering through the transparent bowl it was served in. It was that good my auntie Noreen ordered two more. I haven’t seen her consume as much soup in years. There was also a terrific ceilí band playing in the corner throughout our lunch. Not to be noticed by Noreen however as she’s stone deaf but she was already overwhelmed with delight from the taste of the creamy soup. I would highly recommend you give this cracker of a pub a visit.

28/09/2025: The Strawberry Field restaurant made an extremely pleasant impression on me. This is a place where you want to return again and again. The food here is not just delicious - it is prepared with soul and love for detail. Each dish has its own unique taste, which pleasantly surprises, and the portions are quite generous. The service is at a high level - the staff is always friendly, attentive and ready to help with the choice of dishes or drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant creates a feeling of home comfort, but at the same time this place has a special style and character. It is ideal for both a quiet lunch with family and for meetings with friends. The good price-quality ratio makes this restaurant even more attractive. I believe that The Strawberry Field is one of the best places in the area where you can get real pleasure from food, service and atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting!

14/10/2025: I visited Filo Caffe. I buy a sausage pie, a freddo espresso, and later took a ham and cheese croissant to go. Everything was excellent, both in taste and quality. The space is just right to make you feel comfortable and cozy , especially combined with the extremely polite and cheerful staff. There’s a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches, and sweets. And as I told you in person congratulations!

12/10/2025: Absolutely love Filo Café! Such a cozy and relaxed spot — perfect for coffee or a small bite. I tried the Ekmek Kataif and Bueno cake, both were super tasty and fresh. The coffee’s really good too — rich flavour and nicely done. Staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome. Great place to chill, catch up, or just take a break.

12/12/2025: Hole in the wall with a focus on good, no-nonsense food - just don't expect anything fancy. I found the owner to be a bit gruff at first, but definitely warmed up and was actually quite kind and accommodating. Service from both he and his staff was wonderful. Food was great. No complaints there. Toast was super crunchy and buttery. There was a steady stream of locals stopping in the whole time I was there and that really says it all. Great little place.

27/11/2025: i had the medium irish breakfast, and it was incredibly filling. the taste wasnt anything extraordinary but i didnt feel hungry till 5pm (i ate here at 9am). i was the only person sitting there and the atmosphere there wasnt very welcoming in a way. but i reckon thats just my preference. for sure great amount of food for the price

20/12/2025: Jacquie is the most amazing server. She is so funny, smart, and kind. Also shout outs to Dave and Gerry. The beef roast is fantastic, the burger always great, fish and chips better that Burdocks (I said what I said). The right amount of locals to tourists. Love the experience of the Romanis out front and having a beer can tossed at my head. True Dublin!

On the other hand the steak and ale. Pasty I had was great, bit of a heart burner and not as good as Grampas Pasties but he's dead so it'll do!

17/11/2025: Very good range of drinks, and lovely atmosphere! The drinks are also very good value for money. The truffle bites were delicious, would definitely recommend. The chicken sandwich was dry and bland so wouldn’t recommend this. Server Adrian displayed fantastic customer service! Would go here again.

25/10/2025: Owner stole my seat while gone to get drinks for me and a friend and threatened to kick us out if we didn't comply. Don't come here on a busy night.
