The best restaurants

15/03/2026: My name is brendan Hughes and I had a table booked-confirmed and paid for on Thursday 12 March. When I arrived on Sat 14 to fulfill my appointment the staff were unable to find it but eventually the lady behind the counter must have found some reference to it and told us Table2. We were shown to a table beside a fire. There were two of us and the table was the size of a Singer sowing machine. We are not small people could not possibly eat while seated side by side. So I asked the lady could she possibly seat us at a larger table and she refused. When I tried to reason with the lady she accused me of raising my voice. So not only were we treated with utter contempt we got no meal because we could not eat in such a crowded situation..having driven from Dublin was not great. This lady had no manners or respect for customers. I would not recommend this place unless you want to be insulted. Her attitude was do it her way or leave----so we left. Faulty Towers comes to mind for the bad manners.

13/03/2026: Rather hidden, but food worth the search. Good menu based on fresh local ingredients especially fish, presentation simple yet nicely innovative. Good wine list. Service rapid and friendly.

12/01/2026: Booked a group meal for a civil ceremony in November that was taking place in January. A week before their events manager called us in for a chat . She informed us , with only a week to go, that we would have to guarantee a booking for six rooms the night before or they could not take us. While trying to speak with her I was constantly spoken over and treated very poorly. How this lady holds her position of events manager beggars belief. While the rest of the staff are very professional, The Events manager is just not fit for purpose and is one of , if not the most unprofessional and rudest managers I have ever encountered. Thankfully The Oranmore Lodge Hotel saved the day and were extremely professional and welcoming. Think twice before you think of holding your event at the Lady Gregory.

25/12/2025: Nice hotel, restaurant and pub. Not much around the location however.

03/02/2026: Great food and super quick service, everything came out fast and tasted amazing. Definitely a solid spot if you’re craving Asian street food. Just a heads up that dine-in seating is very limited, and the chairs can be uncomfortable if you have wider hips, so it may be better suited for takeaway or a quick stop. Drink options are also very limited. Overall, the food and speed make it worth it Pictured is the Sweet and Sour Chicken with fried noodles

20/12/2025: Soos used to be a great place for a takeaway but with a few months now it's probably the most frustrating place to get a takeaway. Out of the last ten 8 have been wrong. One example you order a dish for a vegetarian and guess what they put chicken in it. Your order a dish with noodles and yes no noodles you get rice.. you phone tell them and they promise to get it right next time but sadly no they don't.

30/11/2025: If you like pizza you will love plur wood fired pizza based in naas town in friary road car park this unique way of cooking pizza is delicious .also you order on the phone drive down,park up and a member of staff bring your pizza to you absolutely beautiful

10/03/2026: Very good fish and chips here. I was happy with this selection as it was some of the best dm fish I have had to this point. It was cooked perfectly and was gluten free. I would recommend this dish to anyone looking for something good to eat. I also enjoyed a cider and I had a local beer called 5 lamps. Both were good.

10/03/2026: We found this place at the last minute for dinner last night. It was the shortest walk from our hotel - Hyatt Centric. It worked out wonderfully for our entire group. We ordered fish and chips because it was gluten free. It was delicious!!!! The batter on the fish, texture was crispy and fresh. Love their 🍟 fries!!! It was definitely tasty and I liked the way it was cut, almost like steak fries cut but a groove in the middle to balance out the weight. The tartar sauce served with fish and chips was the right balance of spices. Our servers were extremely friendly and efficient with what their services. Tip: they do serve tap water, just gotta know to ask for it.

02/10/2025: The owner is an absolute gent, every time you go it he always has a smile and is up for a chat. I've tried here many times now and I have yet to find one of their bakes that isn't good. Well worth a visit

08/08/2025: We ordered our wedding cake from messy buns and 100 cupcakes the guests loved all of it and it all looked and tasted amazing 😍 thank you messy buns.

20/03/2026: A very nice hotel, comfortable rooms, and in the rooms for four people, everyone has their own space and privacy. However, bring earplugs because you feel like you're right next to the road because of how loud the cars are.

17/12/2025: Good burgers, and the best thick milkshakes in the town. The staff are very nice and the service was amazing.

08/08/2025: While on our honeymoon in Ireland, Ireland by Bike suggested we dine at Yellow Pepper. So glad we did, the atmosphere is so cozy, the food was amazing. We had the opportunity to meet the owner Kieran who is a gem! Chris and Kerrilee

05/08/2025: Visited Letteykenny in Ireland for a short break, had seen reviews. Definitely have to book so popular. Lovely options to choose from. Decided to go straight to the main, I had the lamb shank special of the day, The lamb just fell off the bone, buttery mash with good selection of vegetables, some as purée,and a tasteful jus to bring it all together. My husband had the cod with fish pie, a beautiful chunky piece, definitely a hot pie with creamy mash. Both our plates were completely cleaned. I had the meringue with fresh fruit and compote, meringue crispy and chewy just the way it should be. A lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were very attentive and polite. Very good value as well. Would definitely recommend The Yellow.Pepper

03/02/2026: A few of us went here on a Sunday night. Jenny isa top lady and the guinness was unreal. Was lucky enough to taste the local Whisky as well. Smooth doesn't even do it justice! Went back in the morning for the fry and that too was incredible. Couldn't resist but to get another creamy pint.

14/08/2025: Bardons has the nicest food in Kilcullen 10 times nicer than the hideout! Great service even nicer food I’ve been to bandons plenty of times have tried most things on the menu and never been disappointed! The beef is my favourite but there’s plenty of options for everybody ! 10/10 would recommend

13/07/2025: The food…..was the nicest food I’ve had in a long time unreal experience fast service lovely staff I had the Mexican chicken burger omg unreal big portions aswell the steak sandwich could feed two people and the chips where chips can’t complain lovely atmosphere we only went for food we didn’t stay there but the pub was lovely the price is fair for what you getting
