22/06/2026: Fantastic stay in a beautifully refurbished room! I recently stayed at Leonardo Hotel in Cork and was incredibly impressed by their newly refurbished rooms. The redesign is both stylish and highly functional, with a lovely contemporary color palette featuring warm terracotta and dusty pink tones. The Bedroom Area: The beds are absolutely pristine, incredibly comfortable and topped with plenty of crisp, fresh pillows. The new patterned carpets give the space a very premium, cozy feel. Workspace & Amenities: The workspace area is brilliantly laid out. It features a large, flat-screen TV mounted on a chic pink panel, a dedicated desk with convenient power outlets, a matching vanity stool and a comfortable armchair. They’ve also thought of practical touches like a cooling tower fan and a well-equipped tea/coffee station. Storage & Entryway: The attention to detail continues right from the entrance. The hallway features a stunning, full-length arched mirror and beautiful custom built-in wardrobes that blend seamlessly into the room's color scheme. The Bathroom: The bathroom feels like a luxury boutique hotel. It features a gorgeous modern floating sink, an illuminated LED mirror and a fantastic walk-in shower complete with stylish vertical terracotta tiling and a rainfall showerhead. Everything was spotlessly clean. The Service: Beyond the brilliant new rooms, the staff here are absolutely wonderful—so friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire stay. Leonardo's has done an amazing job with this upgrade. It offers the perfect mix of excellent service, comfort, style, and a great location in Cork. Highly recommended!

16/06/2026: The staff was great friendly and informative. We arrived by town truck as the car rental broke down. The staff immediately made us feel comfortable. Rooms were clean and shower had great pressure. Being in walking distance to buses, train, great restaurants and shops we canceled car.

03/09/2026: Went there with my work colleagues last night, the food was absolutely delicious, and portions were huge. Staff were so so friendly, Bozana, I hope I got your name right was so lovely. I woukd recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Italian food. Thank you all❤️ ETA Went back again last night with my daughter. We had a lovely time, food was oce again amazing and there was a few nice touches that we were delighted with, won't say what they were or everyone will be looking for them☺️ but suffice to say, the staff were very attentive and helpful and I look forward to going back again. Found exactly what I needed on the shelves, specifically looking at their Wi-Fi range extenders and networking gear. Everything is neatly organized, well-stocked, and the staff is always helpful if you need a quick hand. Solid shopping experience overall!

04/09/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a lovely little café with a really warm and welcoming atmosphere! The coffee was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. The service was also fantastic — the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! I’ll definitely be coming back and can highly recommend this little gem. ☕️❤️

06/06/2026: Food was nice but the portion sizes for the price are just so bad. 55 euro for a 12 inch pizza and a pasta dish with a portion of chips that I could count how many in this tiny bowl with my fingers. It’s gone like most restaurants in Waterford now, overpriced with tiny portions. Very small deserts that you can see when you walk in for 9 euros a pop, no thanks

11/08/2026: I want to give a shout-out to this pottery shop. I stopped there feeling a little lost on my drive around the peninsula. The woman at the counter was so nice to take plenty of her time to tell me how to get to my next stop. The store is beautiful fully stocked with all types of ceramics. If you are looking for wonderful Irish pottery, be sure to check this place out, and take the time to go upstairs, that's where all the best ceramics are.

09/08/2026: Pulled in here passing through Moate. Really enjoyable meal here today and I’d definitely be happy to come back again. I had the BBQ wings to start, which I’d give 4/5. The flavour was very good and the sauce was tasty, but the wings themselves weren’t quite as meaty as I would have liked. I think an extra one or two wings in the portion would probably have made up for that. Still a very enjoyable starter and they were cooked well. For the main course I went for the cod and chips and it was easily a 5/5. The portion was absolutely massive - definitely come hungry! The piece of cod was huge with a lovely crisp batter, plenty of chips and it came with peas, salad, tartar sauce and lemon. It was one of those plates that arrives at the table and immediately gets your attention because of the size of it. Very good value considering how substantial the portion was and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My dinner guest had the philli steak sandwich and was very impressed with that as well. He said it was very enjoyable and would happily order it again. Overall, a very good meal with generous portions and plenty of choice. The cod and chips was definitely the highlight for me and I’d order it again without hesitation. Well worth a visit - 5 stars overall. 27/07/2026: Proper Irish pub on a proper Irish street, brimming with local pride (love it). As an English man, I was a little apprehensive, but everyone was very welcoming, had a great craic and after sampling much more Guinness during our trip, I can, without a doubt, say that this was the best Guinness poured in Ireland 🇮🇪 Thanks for the warm welcome fellas. 26/07/2026: We found this place by accident, it's really authentic, run by the same lady for 42 years. The other customers were nice and really talkative even though they jokingly tried to scare us a bit when we went out smoking. The pint is 5.50 for the moment, and it's really well poured, supposedly the best in the area. The area itself is a bit sketchy but no one was aggresive or even mean. There's pool and a jukebox and the interior is very vintage. For me it was worth it but not for everyone probably. As a foreigner it may be hard to understand some guys' accent, but the lady at the bar is extremely nice.

18/08/2026: A simple but interesting museum with an audio tour included in the entry fee which mashed a change from lots of reading. Good to visit before walking around the mine sites.
