28/08/2025: Really bad drop off from this place. Was previously my favourite space for lunch in Dublin. Unfortunately with massive price increases and a drop in quality it’s not worth it. Ordered the spicy Cajun sandwich and noticed they stopped putting any sauce on it. 12€ for a dry chicken and cheese sandwich is frankly a rip off

28/08/2025: I will never visit this place again and you should not, either. However, if you decide to go there, you should definitely double-check your receipt here before paying. First I was charged 25.25 instead of 11.60 but realized only after swiping my card. Then they initiated a refund and charged my card again with the right amount (11.60), so I thought it was OK after all. I only realized on the next day (when the refund arrived) that they decided to "keep the change" and refund only 25.00.

20/09/2026: Pathetic services, the guy on the reception(manager maybe) is so rude and didnt attend us well. They declined to offer the table by saying that we dont provide tables if you are only ordering samosas. There were so many tables available but he declined to give us a table. So we had to take away our food. Gave no tissues or chutney If I had an option, I would have given minus(-) five stars for the services. DONT COME HERE IF YOU ARE HERE IN DONEGAL

14/09/2026: My husband and I found this restaurant an absolute gem. The service was polished, the recommendations were spot on to suit what we would like, and we were not rushed. We set a reservation for 6:15 on a Monday and had no problem getting in. We walked 3 min from the Abbey Hotel. We enjoyed the bottle of Pinot Noir wine from New Zealand and especially loved the garlic and cheese naan. We were so impressed by all the awards the restaurant had won, and enjoyed the food, flavors, atmosphere, and service immensely. A highlight of our trip to Ireland.

05/07/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Completely unacceptable for a €500-per-night “4-star” hotel— I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at The Spencer Hotel was genuinely shocking. We paid approximately €500 per night, expecting the level of service associated with a reputable 4-star hotel. Instead, we returned to find a room that had effectively not been serviced at all. The breakfast trays and dirty dishes from the morning were still sitting in the room, rubbish remained on the desk and tables, the bed hadn’t been made properly, the pillows and bed linen had not been changed, and the room had clearly not been vacuumed. What made the situation even worse was the The receptionist asked what exactly needed to be done, as though this wasn’t standard housekeeping. Shortly afterwards, reception approached my daughter-in-law and again asked what we expected them to do. That question alone speaks volumes. At €500 a night, guests should not have to explain that a room should be cleaned, beds made, used dishes removed, bins emptied and the room vacuumed. These are not “special requests.” They are the absolute basics of hotel housekeeping. The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude were more disappointing than the poor cleaning itself. Instead of apologising and immediately correcting the issue, we were made to feel as though we had to justify expecting the service we had already paid for. An hour later, I had to move myself all the dirty plates outside, nothing done from their end as our complain did not count. The attached photos speak for themselves. Charging premium prices creates premium expectations. Unfortunately, The Spencer Hotel failed to deliver even the basic standards expected from a much cheaper hotel. I sincerely hope management reviews both their housekeeping standards and, more importantly, how staff handle customer complaints. At this price point, this experience was simply unacceptable.

07/06/2026: Fantastic hotel, which made a trip to Dublin extremely enjoyable. Staff, food, rooms and drink are all great. Airport Bus stop right outside the hotel makes it even more convenient. Really recommend and would stay here again.

28/07/2026: First time in the pub just went in for last drinks as id already been out had 2 pints of bulmers which was really nice the staff was very helpful we sat in the outdoor area which was lovely and people very friendly pub itself was very clean would definitely recommend for either a quiet drink in the lounge or a bit of a laugh in the outdoor area

09/07/2026: A real gem on the North side of Dublin.Prices are average, staff are great , toilets are spotless , smoking area at back of pub. No Giant screens so you can catch up with friends. The product is excellent. 👍 Going in when Croke Park is open may not be a good idea, however there is a huge area outside Gaffney's to meet up...

Service is the usual "robot" from these franchises. €7 for a nice warm scone with butter/jam/cream and flat white in a proper cup. Worth a visit There is a semi-outdoor space with seating for smokers

04/08/2026: We arrived around 12:30 pm; it was very busy, but we only waited 5 minutes for a table. The order was processed quickly and the food was decent. However, we waited a long time to pay because the servers were running around and it was a bit chaotic. The atmosphere was friendly, the servers were nice, but the restaurant was very noisy.
