30/07/2025: The best coffee ever. Everything I have ordered in Waterlilles has been gorgeous, I’ve never had something I didn’t like. The service is exceptional. Abigail and the team are always helpful and Clayton hasn’t let us down with recommendations on any new products. The atmosphere is so relaxed, exactly what I want when I visit. It’s a must visit when you are in Carlow. The fact it’s dog friendly is a big bonus too as we can call in after our walks every weekend.

25/07/2025: Don’t normally visit Dubh however I’ve been visiting and buying pastries and coffee as they have upped their pastry game 😍 Visited today and my boyfriend decided to try the White Chocolate Pistachio hot drink. The owner, Emma said that it was very sweet but my bf said he would try it anyway. While I liked it, it was sweet for him and he only had half of it (at 11am in the morning lol). Emma checked in with us and asked how the drink was, which my bf agreed with her earlier comment about it being too sweet but nice. Upon paying, Emma didn’t charge us for the hot drink which we did not expect. We would’ve been happy to pay for it no problem at all. We left a tip instead to cover the remainder. I thought it was a lovely gesture even though there was no need at all. Emma was also very attentive to everyone eating & checking in regularly with customers. We will definitely return to dine indoors again.

15/08/2025: 2nd time here whilst on holiday. Never disappoints on everything. Food is so tasty and fresh, highly recommend the pork belly. Staff are so friendly, so attentive.

11/08/2025: A wonderful place. Delicious food. Chicken burger, pancakes, and a bang bang wrap. We went late in the day, as they're open until 4 p.m. We got three free giant cookies when we left. Highly recommended. We'll gladly return.

27/07/2025: We were staying up the road at the campsite and came here on a Friday night for a few drinks. Great pub and great craic and the owners John and Lorna were so friendly and welcoming.

26/07/2025: Amazing young ladies trying their best serving food explaining specials taking orders wearing masks maybe shields would be better.. food was good drinks excellent prices normal 😷 Back again tonight and it’s super busy.. Back again this evening Saturday 26/07/2025 fantastic food cooked so fresh 😎

21/08/2025: Went for sunday lunch here, absolutely lovely place very busy when we arrived so service was a little slow, but over all the food was very good! the sunday roast was excellent, and staff were very courteous, there is a Lovely beer garden as well! Very nice experience.

17/08/2025: As an American who’d never had a proper Irish Breakfast before, I am stunned by how good this was.

10/08/2025: We stayed here for two nights as a family, in two rooms. The rooms were immaculate, very large, bright and comfortable. The rooms were quiet and look out onto a quiet street. There is no parking, but plenty of cheap pay and display parking very nearby so this is not an issue. The service and staff was impeccable, warm, friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of choice. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and enjoyed a tapas feast, beautiful fresh food with lovely flavours. We would highly recommend a stay here, or a visit to the restaurant.

07/08/2025: Went in today for lunch.plenty specials on offer but we went for the Fish Pie and Lasagne.What can I say only our food was top notch.The Fish Pie was so generous in size and quality of fish within that I struggled.The Lasagne was equally a winner.Staff each and everyone of them were chatty helpful and lovely.Place is spotless .Won't be passing The Cove anytime we are in town .10/10 Honest Review.Keep the standard up Lads.on a winner.

18/07/2025: Beautiful place with the kindest servers and fast service - right beside the train station. Jun in particular was extremely lovely and hospitable - he even offered to look after my suitcase while I went to the bathroom. I highly recommend visiting here! 🌸

17/07/2025: I had an amazing time at lock 13!! A friend and I got drinks from the amazing bartender jun and his service was incredible. He really made us feel welcome and his bartending skills were very impressive! Will return for sure!!

16/08/2025: We stopped in for a quick dinner last night. The location in town across from the harbor is Excellent. The Seafood Chowder and Mash Burger were excellent. The Fish and Chips were very good ( but to be fair..I am very very picky when it comes to my fish and chips)...and not everyone has the smashed peas...so I was very pleased. A very very nice casual experience and definitely worth the stop in for a quick meal. Thank You to all...

14/08/2025: Super friendly, clean and modern rooms...great location...in the evenings you can hear live music from the pub...good breakfast 🍀

20/08/2025: Had the chips and the Drummond (green dip) which looked and tasted interesting. Chips (Fries) are really fresh and delicious. Must try if you are in Galway.

11/08/2025: The fries are double fried and good. But nothing extraordinary that makes them special not come back. Worth a try for sure.

31/07/2025: Mi hija estaba enferma después de su arranque. Vómitos en el baño. Tuvimos que dejar que su estómago estaba tan alterado. Me cobraron por el menú completo incluso después de explicar esto al personal y gerente de turno. Me dieron una reducción de 7 €. 50 era todo

15/07/2025: It has been a while since my wife and I last visited Jacobs and it was worth the wait. Food as always was excellent and we also enjoyed a couple of gorgeous cocktails. The staff are always excellent and there is always a lively atmosphere here.
