09/04/2026: We had our wedding at Newbay House Hotel on the 4/4/26 and it was spectacular. The house is absolutely stunning, and the bridal suite is honestly out of this world! The room for our ceremony was perfect, and the food was amazing—our guests are still raving about it. A massive thank you to the manager, Maria Power, who made everything so easy for us. She is a real asset to Newbay and made the whole experience completely stress-free. Highly recommend!

04/03/2026: We truly fell in love with this venue from the very first moment we saw it. There was just something so magical about it - it instantly felt like our place. The beautiful grounds, the atmosphere, and especially The Wishing Tree - the ancient apple tree nestled in the gardens completely captured our hearts.♥️✨️ Maria and Rachel were absolute angels throughout the entire journey.😍 From the smallest details to the biggest moments, they handled everything with such care, warmth, and genuine excitement for us. Nothing ever felt like “just another wedding” — they made us feel truly special and supported every single step of the way. We honestly couldn’t have done it without them.♥️♥️ And Paul… wow. The food was beyond incredible. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had! Every bite was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with so much love and care.😋 One of the most special parts for us? This venue is perfect if you have little “furevers” in your life 🐾 Being able to include our dog in our big day meant everything to us, and the team welcomed them so warmly. It made the celebration feel even more personal and complete.♥️🐶 We are endlessly grateful to this amazing team for giving us a day filled with love, joy, and the most beautiful memories. 13/09/2025: On a trip to Dublin with my partner, had just finished a tour at the Guinness Storehouse and needed some lunch. Found this absolute gem!!! I got the beef bulgogi bowl and it was amazing, the kbbq sauce was so yummy, and my partner got the Seoul Burger and couldn’t put it down. Very kind service and overall wonderful experience !!! Super duper recommend, some of the best Korean food I’ve had

09/04/2026: Laguna were excellent caterers for our wedding at Morden Hall. Sunny was great in helping us craft a menu that our guests truly enjoyed - with generous servings! I can recommend working with them.

07/04/2026: Whilst we have long visited Laguna Restaurant for the occasional meal, this was the first time we had asked them to cater an event . It was not just any event- it was our wedding. Really they went above and beyond what we expected. The food was generous in quality and quantity, and the service was exceptional. Our event was for 102 guests at a listed venue, with the usual restrictions you find at such venues . Laguna handled everything easily. Nothing seemed to be a problem for Laguna- including the quirkiest of allergens (beetroot, bean sprouts etc) . They were always very proactive in making suggestions about our event - calling upon their multiyear experience with the venue . Our special thanks to Sunny who took charge of our project from the first meeting in October to the event itself in March . When we had nerves he just said ‘don’t worry - we do 300 weddings a year, and yours will be special .’ And so it was! P.s. the chilli gobi fry was universally acclaimed by every single guest

24/04/2026: Came here because a friend recommended it,honestly wish I hadn’t bothered. Walked in on my own and stood at the entrance for a good five minutes, completely ignored. Didn’t interrupt the staff because they all looked so “busy,” but with four people at the front and a half-empty restaurant, can’t help but wonder how you managed during peak hours. Okay I understood and decided to wait until one staff member finally walked over… and just skipped me entirely to talk to the couple behind me 😂 Sure, they had a reservation—fair enough. Sooner another group of three walked in and were told to wait while she checked for a table (so clearly, tables did exist).Again, ignored me the second time. Then I finally got the chance to be able to talk with the girl then I was told straight up by her: “We don’t have a table for one.”okay do u need the whole 10 minutes to tell me this information? Right. Left immediately.Not sure if staff training is necessary ,but the lack of basic customer service and the inconsistency was pretty telling. I assume the pasta I haven’t able to get is good but the first impression was just awful.

19/04/2026: Since we were in Ballina on Sunday, Many eating places were closed. We walked across the River Moy bridge to the Cot and Cobble. We were seated right away and our drink order was taken. The food was excellent. It is a big establishment with lots of tables.

20/01/2026: Fantastic restaurant with super tasry food and very attentive excellent staff. Genuinely couldn't fault it. A lovely cosy small restaurant with a wonderful vibe and great food 5/5. Will definitely be returning 😁

21/12/2025: Took a chance on calling in to see if they had a table and wow were we glad, 5 stars all round from the service to the food to the atmosphere.. top class. We’d two child and they cleared their plates.

11/12/2025: VDA Blessington is fab! We go there on a regular basis for the best service (thanks to Dan and his team) coffee, snacks and Christmas sandwiches😁🥪 There's seating inside and outside...so definitely call in!

22/04/2026: Stopped in for a Kate lunch and loved it. The food was excellent, short rib croquettes, both soups, pork belly and chicken Cesar salad. We would definitely go back.

21/04/2026: My fiancé and I went in for brunch after a long drive from Dublin. The staff welcomed us in as if welcoming into their home. The fire in the traditional pub fireplace was going and was kept stocked throughout our time there making it feel so cozy on a damp day. We ordered several small plates and brunch items, and everything was superb. Even tried the locally sourced oysters which were great. Big shout out to Ulick who checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of by the staff. We already are planning our return trip to Galway and will certainly make Blake's (aka Brasserie On The Corner) one of our stops.

10/04/2026: This place I'd deceptive from the outside. But wander up the stairs and it opens out into a fantastic space. The outdoor seating looks lovely however it was a wet and windy day so it wasn't open. Food is good and the staff are very welcoming. Maybe book ahead as its busy at lunchtime.

16/03/2026: Me and my partner live nearby and go to the Loft quite often for both breakfast and lunch. They have a great menu with a good variety of options and there’s always a veggie option for me. The service is great, the girls working here really take pride in their work which is lovely to see and harder to find these days. And the outdoor terrace is lovely during the summer. Would highly recommend! ❤️
