The best restaurants

05/06/2025: We visited Cornstore, for the first time, to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. From the very beginning, the service was deeply disappointing and unwelcoming. One staff member in particular, D…, was remarkably unprofessional and discourteous. When we inquired about a specific dish we had seen featured in multiple photos and videos on Cornstore’s official Instagram account, D… responded with an unnecessarily aggressive tone, stating — quite shockingly — that he could “swear to God” that such a dish had never been on the menu. This statement was not only inappropriate but directly contradicted the restaurant’s own promotional materials, making the experience feel misleading and verging on false advertising. We had arrived with the intention of enjoying a full evening: starters, main courses, desserts, and wine. However, due to the unfriendly and dismissive manner in which we were treated, we felt deeply uncomfortable and considered leaving shortly after being seated. This was meant to be a joyful celebration, but the attitude of the staff — particularly D… — completely overshadowed any potential the evening had. Sadly, I cannot recommend Cornstore to others. The service does not match the image portrayed online, and the overall experience did not live up to the reputation the establishment seems to enjoy.

10/06/2025: Stayed here for one night, the beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. We requested an extra bed and this was provided at no extra cost. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The staff are really lovely too!

16/06/2025: We were here yesterday to celebrate our anniversary with my boyfriend. The attention at the beginning was good, the food was average... nothing extraordinary. However, while we were talking and we had just finished our plate, they took it away immediately. I found it a bit disrespectful, but I can understand that they want to speed up their service, it is worth mentioning that there were about 4 tables occupied, the restaurant was practically empty and no one was waiting outside. It takes 5 minutes after the dishes are cleared and the bill arrives. None of us had ordered it yet because we were talking. The waiter told us "no rush" but 2 minutes later one of the waitresses approached us with the machine to pay with a card, all this without either of us having indicated it. I found this attitude on the part of the waiters to be rude. We both felt like they wanted us to leave quickly even though the place was empty in the middle of lunch hour. We spent almost 100 euros on the service for them to have such a rude attitude. I would not go back, I do not recommend it.

16/06/2025: Left a stunning impression. I want to come back here to enjoy the taste of the dishes. Fish, seafood were delicious. The waiters are polite, friendly and professional. Thank you very much for giving happy moments in life.

12/05/2025: I liked it better before. First of all, thanks to the hostess. Very hospitable, cheerful, friendly. The rest change frequently. The result is not very good. It's a pity. But the choice of teas is large, although not cheap. There are cakes and sweets. Nice ambience inside and you can sit outside as well as in the hidden cozy courtyard. In good weather we are very happy, interesting and pleasant to relax. Lately, we’ve been taking teas with us more often to brew at home. We'll add photos later, they are in another phone, and this is a completely different place (just kidding). The cafe is really tiny, but cozy

31/05/2025: Pizza was just amazing had pepperoni pizza and chips. Think it's best pizza I've had. And I'm a big pizza fan. Chips were skinny skin on chips and again just delishous. Best of all great prices at 20 each for 2 pizza and chips and drink each

22/05/2025: A pleasant cafe near the cathedral, serving delicious Irish breakfasts in a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was very friendly and made a great effort to understand my poor English.

The food is fresh, hearty, and beautifully presented — perfect after a morning exploring the countryside. Their brown bread is top-notch, and the coffee is just what you need to warm up on a misty Irish day. The staff are kind, welcoming, and full of local charm, happy to chat or offer a recommendation. Whether you’re a visitor passing through or a local regular, Heather Café is a must-visit for great food and even better atmosphere.

12/02/2025: I enjoy coming here before or after hikes especially if the weather is great. Lovely treats and they love dogs, my pooch always gets fresh water and pets when we come! Looking forward to visiting soon!

01/05/2025: Dan Linehan's was perfect for our stay in Killarney. Easy walk to both bus and train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location and cozy room. Ideal for a Killarney visit. Highly recommended!

14/04/2025: Rooms are very small and a little old. But otherwise everything was fine. It was clean and well maintained. The breakfast is absolutely great and enhances the entire stay enormously. Parking is available directly opposite in a public car park and costs €1 per hour. Parking is free there from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. and on Sundays.

14/06/2025: Fantastic place. The best steak I ever had. That cheese cake was delicious 😋. Staff So So Nice I think you should pay Staff more money. It was my last Hotel stay on a Mizen Head to Malin along the Wild Atlantic Way. What a fantastic Hotel stay to finish a fab road trip over 2000 miles round trip.

12/06/2025: If you are looking for an adorable place to eat with yummy food, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere, this is for you. There's also a nursery and shop attached and parking is plentiful.
