O'Donohues Pub

14/05/2026: Fast food served as quickly as you'd get at a fast-food restaurant, which is suspicious for a restaurant. The chicken tenders are made fresh that morning and reheated just before serving: they're therefore far too dry (I had to try twice to be sure it was actually chicken). I didn't think it was possible to mess up the chowder: well, you can! It's just a matter of throwing frozen vegetables and pieces of fish into milk with powder for a very gelatinous texture! Tasteless. Avoid it unless you're in a hurry. Free parking right across the street.
12/05/2026: Lovely restaurant on the Wild Atlantic Way. Friendly service, and the food arrived very quickly. One minor drawback was that they were using old menus, so the fish and chips order still listed coleslaw as an accompaniment, which wasn't actually served.

Mueller and O'Connell Bakery

Abbeyleix
28/07/2026: Lovely tasty sausage roll, followed by orange and almond croissant. The flavour combination of the croissant works very well, definitely one of the best pastries I’ve ever had, and well worth a try. Will be in again when I’m in the area.
23/07/2026: Beautiful cafe with dine in and takeaway options, absolutely superb sausage roll with tomato relish and well priced!

DiVino

Carrick-on-shannon
22/06/2026: The food is good, but I’ve been to Milan, so my expectations were higher. That’s why I’m only giving 3 stars.
20/06/2026: NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY . I have tried this restaurant multiple times and alongside the 80% rude stuff the food is not vegetarian if labelled so . I have gotten reactions from it as I haven't ate meat due to medical reasons and even fully a fish bone out of my vegetarian pasta . Do not eat here if you've any food allergies. This particular meal today the staff have been unhelpful and terrible with service . Can anyone recommend better places in Carrick ?

The Artisan Pantry

Dublin
06/08/2026: It's closed for staff holidays 😕
21/07/2026: Artisan Pantry is a must visit in Lucan Village! The best coffee in the area, amazing pastres and sandwiches. Highly recommend the ham & cheese croissant, sausage roll's and cupcakes. Cakes can also be made to order and are really top class - especially the red velvet. Last but not least always greeted with a smile and friendly service. Special Shoutout to Lauren & Patricia for always looking after us! :)

The Cottage Restaurant

08/07/2026: Lovely award winning restaurant
05/07/2026: I'm just back from a Sunday lunch visit to The Cottage and had to immediately write a short review. It was exceptional. Sometimes you're handed a menu and there's only one or two options that appeal to you - making your choice of starter and main course easy - but this is not the way The Cottage rolls. Plenty of options, lots of variety and I wanted all of them - but eventually chose tuna to start and duck for my main. The food was beautifully presented, delicately seasoned and in the case of my duck main, served in monstrously big portions. Every bite was delicious but to then hit me with a dessert trolley and a waitress who seems to have taken a leaf out of Mrs Doyles book ('Ah go on, have another little bit') was more than my waistline could bear. EUR40 for the Sunday lunch menu is an absolute steal. The food was amazing, the setting in historic Jamestown was lovely and the staff were warm & welcoming. Highly recommended!

Lord Baker's

An daingean
04/07/2026: We waited 40 minutes and weren't served… A shame, because the atmosphere was lovely. Luckily, there was bread and water on the table. Even if it was only two glasses for four people… PS: The bread was delicious…
28/06/2026: After spending nearly 30 minutes walking around rainy Dingle trying to find somewhere to eat, we were honestly starting to lose hope. A few places we walked into didn’t feel very welcoming, but the moment we stepped into Lord Baker’s, everything changed. We were greeted with the biggest smiles, warmly welcomed in, and the menu was explained so kindly. It genuinely felt less like walking into a restaurant and more like walking into someone’s home. The atmosphere was cosy, relaxed, and exactly what we needed after exploring Dingle in the rain. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was even better. Every member of staff made us feel looked after from start to finish. Without a doubt, this was the highlight of our day. We’d come back in a heartbeat. 10/10 – if you’re in Dingle, don’t miss this place!

The Old Storehouse

Dublin
17/07/2026: My friend and I had a wonderful few hours in this historical museum and garden. We both have mobility issues but our problems were resolved by Muireann in reception who advised us how best to access the building by taxi. She was exceptional in her welcome and friendliness and it made our day. She also had an extensive knowledge of the building/ Pierce family history etc. Well done Muireann.👏👏👏👏🙏
14/07/2026: Unbelievable. Never knew this place existed . Beautiful walks and a lovley café at the end of it all Can't wait to go back and visit the museum.

Dax

Dublin
31/07/2026: You must visit DAX at least once. Then you will return again. The whole experience is exceptional. From the time you walk through the door you are warmly welcomed by all the staff. Their attention to dertail throughout the meal is 5 star. The food is succulent, and creatively prepared and presented , always satisfying every palate.
24/07/2026: Elevated, yet charming at the same time. For food, wine, and service this restaurant punches above its weight. I can compliment several things about this restaurant. Service is friendly and warm as others mentioned. The gastronomy is solid and enjoyable. They did a great job of accommodating our lactose allergy by offering tasty solutions instead of just omissions. The prix fixe menu offers three courses (starter, principal plate, and dessert) with solid choices for each course. The foie gras was well sourced, decadent and beautifully complemented with a cerise sauce to counter the fat. Also, we had the duck and the lamb for our main courses. You can't go wrong with either. Portions were filling and proportionately larger since there were only three courses. Also, wine was reasonably priced (at least by American standards). After consultation, we had a jammy syrah blend (Château Milhau Lacugue Les Truffières) that held up well to the foie gras and both the lamb and duck. Total price for dinner, bottle of wine, and 12.5% was 276.64 Euros. If we return to Dublin, this is worth another visit.

Glovers Alley

Dublin
12/04/2026: We had an amazing meal at Glover’s Alley. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and loved every course. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The wine pairings were all excellent and the Somm explained everything to us and was happy to answer our questions. We’ve done lots of tastings and this one was pretty affordable and not too pretentious. Perhaps the ambiance could’ve done with a little more attention, but overall a really excellent meal, exceptional service and a really lovely way to spend our first night in Dublin. Would highly recommend.
07/04/2026: It's been a while since I've been, but as I remember I definitely left more satisfied with the tasting menu than other Michelin star restaurants that I have visited. While I was much more of a picky eater when I went (only course I didn't enjoy at the time was a scallop ceviche, however I've expanded my tastebuds since) Price has definitely gone up since I've been there, but recommend going at least once.
