11/08/2025: Great experience from start to finish. The vibes were great, cocktails were delicious, and the staff were incredibly attentive. The food was very tasty and we felt really well looked after the whole time. A thoroughly positive experience.

20/07/2025: We had a lovely stay here! Staff are very nice and the rooms are spacious and clean. We ate dinner and breakfast here. My mains were a bit dry but everything else was tasty meal wise. I'd recommend staying here when in Limerick.

20/07/2025: A really good hotel , great food and location. Will definitely be going back. Edit, after a second visit, I was surprised to see the same torn and dirty nets in the rooms, desperately needing replacing. I did enjoy my visit, but a little attention to detail goes a long way.

19/07/2025: The food was quite good, especially the salmon bento. Didn't have enough time to take pictures because it took a long time to come out and our group had to leave early.

10/07/2025: Food was overall very good! They will customise any dish to your liking perfecty! The only mark down was I found the cocktails a little unbalanced, but otherwise I'll definitely be back!

11/08/2025: I have ordered and dine-in a plenty of times, and each time got the perfectly delicious food. I recommend you to visit and taste the Georgian spirit in the heart of Dublin.

06/07/2025: Excellent choice! Stumbled upon this place looking for a dining option while staying at the Mespil Hotel. Great food! So many flavours. We shared a few dishes and loved them all. If I lived in Dublin, I would eat here regularly.

27/07/2025: This restaurant serves both meat and fish dishes (especially lobster, octopus, and calamari). I had the duck with cheese sauce, and I have to say that, while I'm not a fan of sweet and sour sauce, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The eggs and fries were also good, as was the burger. As for the steak, however, we were very disappointed. Despite being medium-rare, the meat was tough and stringy, at times difficult to chew! And when I say difficult, I mean REALLY difficult to chew: all four of us tried it and all agreed it was truly tough! Average prices, fast service.

12/08/2025: It's the only restaurant I've tried in Ireland. The only difference compared to the pubs is the tablecloth. Overall, a good dinner. Good value. Some places had recommended the duck, but I didn't try it.

16/08/2025: Came here for breakfast – the Irish breakfast was tasty and the coffee was good. The whole place has a lovely moss-green theme which gives it a fresh, relaxing vibe. The waitress greeted me with a warm smile when I walked in, which really made the experience. I did feel the breakfast wasn’t grilled fresh but more like reheated, though overall it’s still a great spot to hang out and enjoy a casual meal.

03/08/2025: This is my favourite place to go for breakfast or lunch near me. They have the most delicious black pudding, chorizo and potato hash bowl, which is my go to almost every time. Great food, great prices, and great vibes. I always like to stop into the plant shop connected as well.

09/08/2025: Exception on every level. Really didn't expect this, place to be as good. But it was completely faultless. Staff. Food. Drink. Specoak6thabks to Kasey but everyone was on there game tonight. This place does exceptional pints of guiness and Kilrenny Red. And their chocolate brownie dessert on another level (and I've tried a whole lot). Absolutely and completely recommended

27/06/2025: Stayed here on Saturday 21st June 2025. Carlingford itself was busy and the weather was lovely. Rooms were fine and very clean bathroom and shower were perfect. The bed was lovely and comfy. Had a few drinks in the bar on that night and was very enjoyable. They had music in the bar which was easy listening and the bar staff were very good too. The only thing I was disappointed at was the breakfast. The menu had a good selection of cooked breakfast but there was no cereal or juice to be seen anywhere. I had the full irish which was lovely but if you only wanted cereal it didn't seem to be available. One other thing to note was that there is no lift. All the rooms as far as I could see are on the 1st floor, wasn't a problem for us but for anyone incapacitated or wheelchair users this would be difficult. Overall this is a lovely place to stay, right in the centre of Carlingford. A good base if you wanted to explore the north east of the country. This place is good value for money as the price of hotels in Ireland has got very expensive in the last couple of years. I would have no problem staying here again.
