22/11/2025: Just had lunch here oh my God the hummus bowl was delish highly recommend lovely staff and ambience is 👌 Great little spot in trim.

21/11/2025: My new favourite place in Trim. Fab service, fab coffee. And best of all, they have delicious gluten free treats

20/05/2026: It was recommended for its food! But both breakfast and diner where below standard. Waiter seemed kind but inexperienced. Location is good.

17/05/2026: Great hotel perched right by the water in historic Kinsale. Open your window and you can hear the waves lapping the shore.

21/05/2026: Love it here!! Come with our kids all the time (they also love it here) and they do kids’ size pizzas. While I do love the pizzas, recently I find myself ordering the fish tacos every visit now, they’re so good! And really remind me of the fish tacos in San Diego! The chilled, relaxed atmosphere and great music make it the perfect spot to go with friends or family. Staff are always attentive and friendly. The revolution is a brilliant local gem in Rathgar! Have also done the bottomless lunch and it was brilliant. Great value (bottomless mimosas €22), great fun and a fab way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend!

16/05/2026: Was excited about the thought of coming here do booked on our way to Sligo. Was really disappointed in the menu choices that had mismatched flavours and seemed gimmicky. The fish was relatively tasteless especially combined with a strongly flavoured capsicum, saffron and tomato risotto. Have tasted far better seafood in other coastal places in Ireland. The balance of what was used in their menu lacked the skills if good cuisine. The desert was hilarious but also flavourless. All in all this was a gourmet disappointment that was expensive and not worth it. Be warned! The staff also seemed disinterested in their work. Head to Doolin if you want fresh and interesting local cuisine.

05/05/2026: I really wanted to love Eala Bhán — the presentation is genuinely beautiful and clearly takes effort. Every plate looks like a piece of art. But beyond the visuals, the experience just didn’t deliver. The “Wild Atlantic Way” starter (€18.95) was essentially one fish ball, one scallop, and one langoustine. Portion-wise, it felt more like a tasting bite than a starter — and taste-wise it was only okay, nothing memorable. The main (“Boat Comes In” €39.95) was even more disappointing: two tiny pieces of fish in a seaside town, with a small portion of rice that was heavily over-sauced. For €40, both the quantity and quality felt off. For comparison, the fish and chips at The Harp Tavern nearby were far more satisfying, more flavourful, and costed €16. Overall: visually impressive, but the food itself was just fair and the portions/pricing feel completely out of balance.

19/05/2026: Great food. Fast and friendly service. Photo is of the donar kebab with rice that was outstanding. Large portion. Menu has many other options to try.

08/05/2026: DO NOT COME HERE!! I ordered a shrimp curry dish and what came back was HORRIFYING! I seen black hairs in my shrimp and it looks like the chefs pubes! DO NOT COME HERE!! Staff was insulting and rude and kept scratching their bottoms! No wonder I have food poisoning now! Don’t come here if I could I’d rate it a 0/10 shame on you Nageh

05/05/2026: We had lunch for two here and it was lovely. The restaurant was very busy and we had a 10-15 min wait to be seated, despite how busy it was the staff were very well organized and efficient and our order was taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. There is ample parking to the rear and The Shack is well worth a visit.

11/06/2026: This is not a 5 star hotel. The premises may look 5 star but the service is just above 3 star. Self service for breakfast, no waiter service in the bar, it just lacked the 5 star experience. I have stayed in 3 & 4 star hotels that offer a better service than Lyrath.

11/06/2026: We recently held our wedding reception at Frederick’s Restaurant in Islington on 19th May 2026, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The venue itself provided the perfect setting for our special day, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The food was truly out of this world – every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and received so many compliments from our guests. A very special mention must go to Jason, who was exceptional on the day itself. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care helped make everything run seamlessly. Nothing was too much trouble, and he played a huge part in making our reception so memorable. The rest of the staff were equally wonderful – attentive, friendly, and incredibly hardworking. They ensured that both we and our guests felt looked after from the moment we arrived until the end of the evening. Thank you to Jason and the entire team for helping create such an unforgettable celebration. 15/05/2026: Lovely 2 night stay DBB. Beautiful room in main house with a view of the grounds. Dinner & breakfast were delicious. Staff very helpful & friendly especially in the dining room. Disappointed that thermal suite / jacuzzi was not available due to renovation. Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend without hesitation.

10/05/2026: We stayed one night after visiting Waterford. Faithlegg is a very classy hotel. While we did not eat there, we had great service at the bar and a very good breakfast the following day. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

20/04/2026: Landlord is incredibly friendly and makes sure you feel very welcome and at home. Guinness is excellent too

25/02/2026: What a pub ! The keg under the bar, the Stout is cream, Mick himself is a gentleman, the epitome of hospitality, brings out snacks for the customers, makes welcome and warm conversation. A joy to visit, I shall return !

24/04/2026: Came here because a friend recommended it,honestly wish I hadn’t bothered. Walked in on my own and stood at the entrance for a good five minutes, completely ignored. Didn’t interrupt the staff because they all looked so “busy,” but with four people at the front and a half-empty restaurant, can’t help but wonder how you managed during peak hours. Okay I understood and decided to wait until one staff member finally walked over… and just skipped me entirely to talk to the couple behind me 😂 Sure, they had a reservation—fair enough. Sooner another group of three walked in and were told to wait while she checked for a table (so clearly, tables did exist).Again, ignored me the second time. Then I finally got the chance to be able to talk with the girl then I was told straight up by her: “We don’t have a table for one.”okay do u need the whole 10 minutes to tell me this information? Right. Left immediately.Not sure if staff training is necessary ,but the lack of basic customer service and the inconsistency was pretty telling. I assume the pasta I haven’t able to get is good but the first impression was just awful.

16/05/2026: A great place to stay overnight. The rooms have been recently renovated. It was done nicely, but the finishing could have been checked over. There were paint residues and loose pieces of wallpaper. We had dinner in the restaurant. It tasted delicious. It is really worth it. Afterwards, you can walk right over to the pub located in the same building. Cozy and intimate with lots of locals.

07/05/2026: We stayed at "The Horse & Hound" during our trip to Ireland and had a wonderful time. The property is traditional and charming, with an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The room was very clean, spacious, and meticulously maintained. The location was excellent, in a quiet and charming setting. The staff were friendly and helpful. A perfect place to experience the real Ireland, highly recommended!

05/05/2026: Food was delicious. We'd a carvery dinner but unfortunately the short haired woman serving was totally ignorant, rude & very bad mannered. Waited over 5 minutes to be served our meat by her while she was very rude & obnoxious to other staff members. This was at lunchtime on Friday 24th of April so easy to find out who my post regards too. All other staff seem very capable of doing there job but a bit more clearing of tables & clearing them wouldn't go a miss. Food was very nice & decent size too.
