13/06/2025: We went here for brunch a few times. They stick with the classics and make it to perfection. Really good food. Never disappoint.
Service is great, all staff is friendly and welcoming.

01/06/2025: Absolutely stunning restaurant with very attentive staff! Our group were caught in traffic with the various events on today but front of house couldn’t have been more understanding!
We got the guacamole, hummus & heirloom tomato/mozzarella starters followed by the pasta of the day & the aubergine for mains.
Everything was just incredible - so tasty & well presented! I would go back for the aubergine alone.
The cocktails are divine too and some alcohol free options available which were equally as nice.
I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more, thank you Canal Bank Cafe 🥰

12/06/2025: Wow! Sometimes you just don’t know what you’re going to get when you book a room, but we were so absolutely thrilled. The Great Southern in Killarney is AMAZING as are all the employees…..especially Cara McDowel…she was a bright spot at check-in and each day. You are all magnificent.

08/06/2025: There was a tremendous rain outside and the inside was packed. The people inside did not interpret the rain as a blessing but as an ordinary natural event. However, what a blessing rain is for farmers.

10/06/2025: I visited here with my 3 teens as part of a group, the food was excellent and reasonably priced and the service very good. The two gentlemen serving us were very smiley...
Two complaints, though, the burger bun bases on my and my son's burgers got a bit soggy and fell apart while we were eating, a great tragedy says the 16 year old gourmand,
The other complaint was that the ladies' toilets were not very clean, although they were otherwise aesthetically pleasing.

04/06/2025: Great welcome as soon as we arrived. Staff very patient when we were indecisive what to order. Whole menu on one page and still a wide choice. All food was delicious. Special mention for Chiara G. Really professional and genuinely interested in giving us a great experience. Was our last supper for sonn who went back to Australia the next day and we will come back and recommend to others. Well done!
03/06/2025: Nice looking restaurant, but service was slow and something, possibly the oysters, made us ill for the next day.
The dry aged steak was mediocre and surprisingly not flavorful.

What a venue: decor and service were a fitting prelude to a thoughtful menu and simply the best prawn dish I have ever had (and there have been a few…). Unlike a previous review I found the prawns sublimely cooked, and the risotto a fitting partner. Wd go back in a flash and may simply order three of them…thanks for a super night.
