19/03/2026: this is such a lovely pub, don’t miss out if you’re visiting bray! ⭐ we tried the catch of the day (best fish&chips i’ve ever had, the fish was so tender and crispy), the o’toole toastie which honestly changed my life forever and later also ordered tempura prawns which were nice too it’s such a cosy place and they also have board games which is really nice :) will come back for sure!

We popped in for a quick coffee on our way to the market, and despite the busy atmosphere, the baristas worked quickly and efficiently, getting us our caffeine fix in no time. The coffee was absolutely delicious - well-balanced, rich, and expertly brewed. 30/10/2025: The pancake was the most delicious one I’ve ever had! It was so soft — like biting into a cloud — and every piece was full of flavour. Honestly, what was that? OMG, I loved it! The staff were also incredibly friendly, and I felt completely at home 🥹

They looked after us in the best possible way in a very difficult situation for us. 08/03/2026: Nice hotel, great breakfast, wonderful and attentive staff from the moment you walk in the door until checkout.  Beautiful park right next door. Our room faced an inner opening area with a view of the roof below.  While it is inevitable that some of the rooms need to face an area like this if they are going to have an opening window (or any window), the hotel management could take steps to improve it somewhat. Having supervised construction work for decades, I can see that the mechanical equipment on the roof below is of high quality, but the amount of dirt allowed to accumulate on it is not.  You wouldn't allow your lobby windows or front steps to be so filthy, so why this equipment in full view of hundreds of your guests every week? Clean this up and make this view at least a bit more presentable and people with those rooms won't feel quite so screwed by the high prices charged for them.

08/12/2025: Had a nice Cesar Salad with plenty of parmesan. The chicken was breaded so good luck on the calories count but nice as well. Apple pie wasn’t bad either but wish it had some cinnamon or winter spice. Parking is on street or the omniplex across the road ( pay options in both cases). Best thing here is the commitment to value that not many places still have. Will return.

17/09/2025: Would be a regular visitor to bodega and always thought of it as a special occasion style restaurant. Went back today to celebrate an anniversary and from the moment we walked in, it was completely off. We were left waiting at the front in what looked like an empty restaurant. Wasn’t asked for our names and brought to a table. I specifically mentioned in the booking it was an anniversary but there was no mention of this throughout the experience. Food, which I might add has always been amazing was unfortunately extremely poor. Patatas bravas were an extra €6 and was once a full bowl of potato’s with chorizo and cheese etc however now they are plain? And only maybe 10 or 11 small cubes of potatoes. The rest of the food came out luke warm and some extremely greasy. The tenders came out with barely any sauce and felt like they’ve been sitting under a hot lamp for a while. The manager mentioned the menu was new and if I’m extremely honest, a step down. I must mention the manager himself was and always has been a pleasure to dine with, however he worked alone. No other staff. This might have a knock on affect with the dining experience and something they should really look at as there was already 6 tables of 2-4 people each. Hope someone from bodega reads this and can implement some changes to avoid another business suffering in clonmel, as I’ve always said this is or was a great place to dine.
