25/10/2025: Really nice pub, worth a visit. Away from the chaos of Temple Bar. Much more reasonable prices. Toast and Guinness €10.
22/10/2025: Lorna and Ger are some of the most amazing staff I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Bibi made me the best toastie I've ever had in Dublin. We won't mention Steve but all in all great establishment! highly recommend and I'll certainly be back!

We ordered a pizza to share the girl that served us was excellent had a smile and a chat with all customers it was a pleasure to be in her company. Gus O'Connor's
17/03/2026: A nice Irish pub with a great atmosphere
16/03/2026: Brilliant country town pub. Headed here after visiting the Cliffs of Moher and was met with a charming, comfortable Pub and Dining serviced by friendly and helpful staff. There’s a huge range of beers, but of course I was decisively engaged with a perfect pint of Guinness. We had the Potato and Leek Soup, Beef and Guinness Stew and the home made apple crumble, all were brilliant. Highly recommended.

Luso Casual Dining
Cavan, <20£
20/02/2026: The food was tragic, the chicken looked like it was fried in very old oil and it was soggy. The pizzas were tasteless or you wouldn't even understand what kind of taste they had, not me.We went for a big family dinner and we all saved money and time.
19/02/2026: The pizza at this place is incredible. I ordered a four-cheese pizza to go. On my way out, I decided to try one slice — it was so delicious that I ended up eating three before I even got home. It was a real four-cheese pizza, rich and full of flavor.
What also caught my attention was the crust. It wasn’t chewy or bland; it had a slight crisp to it and was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly, and the wait time was about 10 to 15 minutes.
I highly recommend this place — the pizza was amazing!

09/03/2026: Staying local we've been advised to go for dinner and I tell you that you won't be sorry. Lovely atmosphere busy bar and restaurant friendly people and personnel. Fast, fresh and decent served food portions. Would come back if around.
08/03/2026: If you’re anywhere near Donegal, do not pass this pub—there’s a reason locals say it’s unlucky to pass.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a traditional Irish pub. The interior has that classic old-world charm—warm wood, cozy spaces, and the kind of authentic character you simply can’t manufacture. It feels like the heart of the community. There was even a birthday celebration happening while we were there, and everyone—from locals to visitors—was clearly having a wonderful time.
The drinks were excellent. The pint of Guinness was perfectly poured, smooth and creamy just as it should be. I also had a whiskey sour, and it was fantastic—beautifully balanced with a thick, velvety foam on top that made it feel like a proper craft cocktail.
The food was truly exceptional. We had the fish and chips, which were perfectly crispy and fresh, and the pappardelle mushroom pasta, which was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. It felt like elevated pub food made with real care and quality ingredients.
Dessert absolutely sealed the experience. The fresh, homegrown apple pie with ice cream was incredible—warm, comforting, and clearly homemade. One of those desserts you remember long after the meal.
Although we sat inside the pub, the greenhouse dining area looked beautiful—bright, open, and surrounded by stunning views of the Donegal landscape. It would be a lovely place to sit on a sunny day.
Before leaving, we even stopped by The Byre and grabbed a white mocha, which was another treat and a perfect way to end the visit.
The service throughout was kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience feel even more special.
Between the incredible food, perfectly poured drinks, beautiful setting, and lively atmosphere, this was one of the best Irish pub experiences you could hope for.
We would absolutely go back—and next time, we definitely won’t risk the bad luck of passing it by.

Mills Inn
Ballyvourney
07/03/2026: We have eaten here several times and to be fair, the food was always good. Today was not good. My wife's main arrived, the brie was not cooked, it was taken back. My mains, the turkey was luke warm, the ham was all fat, there was a tea spoon of stuffing and the veg was cold - which we noted to the waiting staff, but I declined replacements as time was pushing on. By the time my wife's arrived - I was finished.
What really annoyed us was at the time of paying -we were asked for our feedback and, upon relaying the above back "again" the guy behind the bar told us "that is the luck of the draw". Sorry, but when you are paying nearly €23 for s main dish, luck should not be involved. Not impressed.
06/03/2026: For a 3* Hotel, the service, food, and entertainment were exceptional.
We traveled as a group of 29 adults and 3 children. We wished to tour historical local places of interest. Don, our Host, had everything organised for us. Definitely 5* HOSPITALITY and FOOD ♥️

Faithlegg House Hotel
16/03/2026: This Hotel is absolutely fabulous.
14/03/2026: Had a wonderful wine and dine night awaywith friends in Faithlegg Hotel. The place is a feast for the senses in decor, atmosphere and seems to wrap you in a cashmere shrug of warmth, quality and easy friendliness. Little discreet quality touches are everywhere. Its a place that makes you feel endulged and want to linger. Pierce and Jack look after your dining experience a wonderful charmingly quienticential manner that is as delightful as the food. Ì would highly recommend it as a quality destination. I would even consider coming back on my own to stay and enjoy the Faithlegg hotel experience again.

The Corner House
Cork
14/09/2025: Went down for the sounds from a safe harbour festival and had a delicious pint of Beamish while enjoying live music
11/09/2025: Went along for the trad session this evening supposedly from 6pm, hoping to play, but unfortunately it had been cancelled so no tunes fix for me. Not quite sure why- one or two other bemused musicians floating around. Nice enough pub otherwise though.

Fieldings of Adare Restaurant
Adare
11/03/2026: We had a wonderful stay. The food was delicious. Ye have the best staff I have ever come across. Everyone was so nice and professional. Lots to do and most importantly the kids enjoyed themselves. Between the petting farm, play park and pool the kids were well entertained.
The bedroom we stayed in was on ground level. Very spacious but very warm at night. We would love to return some time and we will definitely be recommending this hotel to our family and friends.
10/03/2026: Absolutely fantastic Hotel! Stayed here 20 year's ago and it was top notch and my return visit was even better!
I never ever drank pints in a Hotel bar that were nice until I stayed here and to see Murphys on draught was a huge surprise and they were absolutely savage, pure creamy and delicious!
Beautiful food and fantastic staff who are on hand to help out plus loads of activities for kid's etc.
I will be seeing you again soon!
Thank you very much!
